it appears that the only difference is the actual wheel. Is this correct? How did you modify it? Are there plans? I don't have a miter saw, so this one looks MUCH easier! Thank you so much for your generosity! I'm a beginner and this is so much more affordable!
It was just over 115yrds, but that was because it was a single. If I had double plied it, you're looking at 57yrds. So it was a lace weight as a single (3700/lb), or a heavy fingering as a 2ply (1850/lb).
Thanks for your videos. After watching, i realized i needed to take mine apart and make some adjustments.
I really like your videos your good and showing exsplaining and to the point
I love my Dodec wheel; the one you are using here looks even simpler to build. :) I am getting better at spinning on it too. Thank you!
I'm really glad you're enjoying your Dodec. I love them both.
Great video thanks
Do you have free plans on how to make this wheel? The Porter wheel
The Porter Wheel works the same as the Dodec. The difference is, it's way simple to build.

How do you ply on this kind of wheel?
You just treadle it in the reverse direction.
The porter seems more shaky then the dodec.
It's not, but it's sitting on an uneven part of the sidewalk. That's why it moves around some in the video.
How much wool did you use to make that 1/2 oz?
I'm not sure what you mean. I used a 1/2oz.
Thanks for answering.
Edmund Dantes How many yards do you think you made?

Thanks. I wanted to spin yarn for awhile
