As a Young teenager I started with an A John Deere, then 4010, then 4020 then 1175 Case. I was 20 years old before I ever drove a cabbed 1486 International. The 730 Popping John brings back Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent video! Reminds me of when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. The days before air conditioned cabs, computers, cell phones, GPS and def fluid.
I was 14 years old when dad bought a new 1968 JD 4020 power shift and 4 bottom plow had it delivered to my uncles 160 acres that had no been farmed in 20 years ( goverment set aside land ) what a dream for me ..Thanks Dad ..he new I earned it long hours of unbelievable farm work with old equipment and after 7 years of the elements he let me break in this shiny 4020

This is amazing! Great bud by the way! Love to see the kids getting involved! I’m 15 and live in upstate New York on a 200 cow dairy farm. I just bought a 1968 4020! Besides that we have two more. Also a 4010 and 3020. And for two cylinders we got a 730, 60, A, B! We use all of these more or less for hay. But the 4020 we use for a lot more like daily feeding and grinding bedding also to haul corn silage wagons in the full. The 4010 is our corn planter tractor pulling a 7000 6 row planter. But the old tractors are great and you can’t beat ‘em!!!! Love this channel! Keep doing what your doing!
This guy REALLY hasn't heard of no-till. Our garden has more residue, than that field. Hammer down, Green Iron is the best. I honestly like all the old ones.

Love the old iron. Miss the good old days.

Wow it must've felt great!
My grandfather owns an LP 4020 with the bucket front attachment and the excavator arm rear attachment. Oh the fun I had on that tractor growing up
The best balanced tractor that John Deere ever manufactured; the 4020.
Wonder how many grew up with 4020 as first tractor learning to drive. Life was so much fun back then. 😎😎

A/B then 4020
The old tractors sound good and I know it's fun to drive them around the fields. They still get the job done! Thanks for taking us along.

I used to work for a man in Colorado that had a John Deere 3020 he used it to pull a 8 row maxi Merge corn planner. It pulled it pretty good
My father owned 7 4020’s at one time. They were 6 row cultivating and planting tractors. 5 bottom bedders.
Awesome!

730 gas, nice and rare. I would put a muffler on it while I work with it though. Very nice old tractors
I rode a tractor with Dad driving and I was facing backwards, the difference was it was a John Deere A, and I didn’t have any ear protection.
Nice tire on that packer! Original equipment?
Haha ya it still holds air but get worse every year!
