So in other words we can't ride ruin re90 in the rain? Damn. Do you know of any dates to which the water cooling would be available? I'm in need of an re 90 that's water resistant lol. Would you know of any scooters currently in the market that is water proof and as fast as the re90 or close?
@@jamesr5935 no scooter is truly waterproof, some are water resistant though. No scooter is even close to being as fast as the re90, they are pushing boundaries with their performance and require air cooling to do so. Water cooling may help and might take a few years to release. I’d recommend one PEV for rain, one PEV for dry roads.
@@AlienRides thank you for such attention and dedication to your audience. You're the best hands down. Thanks for the information and advice
Not many reviews on the Ghost. Looks like a well-balanced scooter though. Unfortunately, I don't see any videos on tested real world range? Do you think it's worth upgrading to the Apollo Pro, for a tad more speed (extra 3 mph), hydraulic brakes, and range (extra 17.5 miles) for $475 US over the Ghost?
@@astonesqv7245 the ghost is definitely a nice scooter. I personally recommend folks get the biggest scooter they can afford that works for their use case. I think the pro is a great choice and I would get it for those features if the increased weight is not a deal breaker.
Alien great video as always!! Looks like a great little scoot glad to see Apollo putting out some good stuff!💪🏼
Yeah, they're doing some nice things over there! Come over and try it sometime.
This footage is very well done, amazing quality too. Everything about the video is amazing.
Thank you! Super fun making these videos and we've got lots of stuff like this in the works.
Thanks for the video, loving my apollo ghost. Perfect scooter for me, smooth ride and quick. Climbs any hill I've tried in san francisco.
I love your video....I watch it a lot!! It's the only thing that keeps me from canceling order!! I can't wait to ride it!! I never waited soooooo long and with so much anticipation for something!!🤣🛴💨❤
Hah, it can be a long wait for these PEVs, but totally worth it.
Been waiting for this review!!!!!
Thanks, we had a great time filming this review.
Wow! Sweet video man, awesome footage.
Thanks, always fun making some scoot vids.
Thank you so much for this video. This scooter looks amazing. I hope we get another report on its real world range of the battery.
Yup, going to test this soon, my hunch is about 25 miles of harder riding though.
Beautiful Video, LOVE it!
Thank you Eloi!
Nice review! Good entry dual motor scooter. I liked that hill test portion... Would love to see a race up that hill with all flagship models.
Thanks, we can definitely do some uphill racing, though I'd like to find an even steeper hill to do it on!
Glad to see how well it works for hills, I just ordered one and live in a very hilly area. Glad it won’t be a problem!
Awesome, it's really solid, you're going to love it! 👽🖖
This just came outta no where glad You put this scooter on the map.
Yeah, was cool to get this scooter so early for a review. Definitely going to do more with it.
@@AlienRides yes please do I'll be looking 4ward to your real world range test and follow up aftee a few miles
Outstanding review and overall video👍
Thanks for stopping by, we had fun making this and got a lot more in the works.
Nice footage... and the hill climb was defo impressive. Nice scooter for the price. Great review Kevin. Love to see the nanrobot d4 plus tackle that hill.
Thanks! Definitely want to check out the nanrobot and see how it does on this hill. We'll do that in the future!
Love this Appollo!!! 👍🛴✌️
Same, they did a great job with it.
Just got my ghost, love it. will be adding lots of rides and contenct on my channel. :) happy scootin
Awesome, it's a great scooter, ride safe! 👽🖖
Thank you for being the first to review this scooter! I’m looking at purchasing my first dual motor scooter and i think this one might be it 👍🏼
I think this would make a really nice first dual motor scooter for sure, and you would enjoy it. If you do decide to get one, using our link will let us keep making videos on new scooters. bit.ly/apolloghost
I love your videos. The city is very beautiful. The monster Venom was running along these streets)))
We have a lot of fun riding around these streets for sure.
It looks very solid when you were riding it. Good videos ✌️
Thank you, it's definitely a solid scooter.
Excellent!!! I luv the California hill test,...
The California street test is always a fun one.
Excellent Product.
I agree, it's a nice little scooter.
Awesome review! Looks like you're riding through easily in Bernal Heights and McClaren Park. I live on the bottom of Mansell St a few blocks away and that hill i can't conquer in my City Scooter. This helped me on my next purchase for something affordable that can conquer SF hills.
Awesome, always nice meeting neighbors through UA-cam! I think the Apollo Ghost is definitely a good option for our hilly neighborhood. Good luck with your next purchase. :alienRides.
Just ordered one of these bad boys for Black Friday. From what I could tell this thing is one of the best options for a commuter scooter that can also be sporty and hits a great price-performance ratio too.
Awesome, you're right it's a great option for a sporty commuter. You're going to love it.
how was it ?
Can't wait for mine to come in the mail. I probably watched this video 10x 😂
Awesome, you're gonna love it! 👽🖖

I was wondering what all those Apollo boxes were doing in your shop lmao. Awesome vid:)
Hah yeah, this and also for warranty repairs as well.
first! Love your vedeos btw. This ride was amazing.👍👍
Thank you, we love making videos on scooters!
Hi, When will you create a range test on the apollo ghost?
im planning on buying one
Nice video! I ordered one about a month ago and was supposed to be for March 1st shipping date. Apollo contacted me and said it will be delayed until the 15th. Hope it ships by then. Your review helped my friends and i choose the ghost as we are also from the city and know California st well
Awesome, the Ghost is a great little scooter and it's going to do really well in San Francisco. Let's ride some day!
Love ur hill climb test. 🤟🏼
Thanks, we should do more of that. 👽🖖
I think the Ghost is my next scooter, as an upgrade from my Segway ES4. They're just too fun!!
The ghost is a really solid scooter for sure and you will love it when you get it. 👽🖖
I just received my Ghost. As an upgrade from my ES3(costco version). It is more powerful, faster and running very smoothy. Remember get the super clamp.
@@xiaominglin8622 did you get the clamp from apollo
Looks awesome and great footage. How are you filming those riding shots? I imagine you have a camera man doing that? Riding on the EUC? And what camera do you use for those particular clips?
Yup, I'm lucky to have a solid team of people filming me now. We either ride EUCs or film chase footage with scooters. Occasionally shoot out of a car. Right now we're filming with a GH5S and gimbal.
Excellent video.✅👍👍🤑
What a beast of a HILL CLIMBER. + Speed.California st.Been there.Super steep.🏆🏆☝️⚡🆒🔜

Thank you! We gotta test some more scooters on California St. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Yes. That'll be so valuable for so many people. You guys do it so well. Can't wait.Thx.😎
Can't wait for the Apollo Phantom. Apollo says it will be better than the pro. Really excited!
Yeah, looking forward to testing that one for sure!
Yes, but I need to ask you about Apollo's safety protocols. (AI reference)
@@stellarproductions8888 Whats wrong about it?
@@ALEXCATFFU It was simply a joke, I guess you never played the game. That's ok.
lmao ok
I preorder this beast, eager to ride soon. And 5-star customer support.
Awesome, you're going to love it. Apollo definitely has the best customer support.
ordered mine last week
when do you expect to receive it?
just found your channel from a comment on another review channel, very well done got my sub. Watching from vancouver canada myself and we have some big hills here too so its nice to see it can handle that, but as of now there is a new ghost with dual 1000w motors and increased range and speed. I looked at Varla but they charge 200 bucks to ship to canada so im not sure its worth it and who knows what customs will charge on that. Now im just trying to decide between the ghost and the phantom, the range is not much more on the phantom tho 64km to the new ghost being 60km. Is the ghost ok to be on light gravel trails or paths would you say? And whats your opinion of air filled tired versus solid tires? I've seen lots of comments around about flat tires.
Hello and nice to meet you. Phantom vs ghost is a hard call, both are reasonable scooters and I haven't tried the latest versions of either yet. I feel like either could handle light trails due to the dual suspension though. Go for what you think has the best bang for your buck maybe. The VSETT 10+ would also be an excellent option for you if there are any VSETT dealers in Canada. 👽🖖
Great work as usual, what do you think the Ghost compare to the Mantis? The speed and range.. price is similar
Thanks! Both the mantis and ghost are excellent scooters I think. The ghost feels more portable, and I like the styling quite a bit more I think. I think it's a tradeoff between portability and performance.
I know this is an old video however. Did you change the P settings? Mine came shipped with 33% power and 3 out of 5 for acceleration.
Nice thinking to get 2
It's a nice scooter, you would love it!
Dude what is that backpack looks like a nice hand dryer you’d find in a fancy restroom
bought the explore and a month later they come out with this. Still love my Explore though, works better for my commute, not as heavy
Yeah, the explore still makes total sense as a great little commuter. Maybe could get a heavier scooter for a weekend joyrider though.
k
And now the phantom is coming. Apollo is killing it. I have to think about what I am going to purchase either an Apollo or a Mantis.
@@rogerlane2282 Apollo is better.✅🤑⚠️☝️
I live in SF too, I am making decision between the City Pro and Ghost, can the City Pro climb that hills in SF? I really like the look on the City Pro. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hey great video. Just wondering if you can share your thoughts on it’s portability. If you were to take in on a train and had to collapse and carry it a flight of stairs or two , would you say it’s manageable? Let me know thanks!
Yes, I would say that the ghost is more manageable than other more heavy scooters. I think this has pretty good power to weight ratio, go for it. :alienRides:
I swear, I've watched this video at least 5 times cuz I'm waiting impatiently on my tracking number for my Ghost.
Hah, I hope you get it soon, will be worth the wait! 👽🖖
Dang, electric scooters are getting better and better each year. The only thing missing is a headlight. I was looking for a cheap dual motor electric scooter that is also relatively small. I already got the nanrobot D6+ but that thing is way too big to even stuff in your trunk. I might get this or the Nanrobot lightning. I might consider the speedway 5.
Nice, those are all great choices. I think this one might be one of the more portable dual motor scooters. I would probably recommend the eagle pro over the Speedway V if you can. All would be fun though.
Nice video and nice scooter too..btw which scooter do you recommend for a beginner?🤔
Thank you! I do think that the Ghost is a really good option, for some alternatives look into the Vsett line maybe. 👽🖖
Hey can you do a review on the Eonmotors Blade 10 electric scooter thanks
I’d love to review that one in the future, I’ll add it to the list - thanks! 👽🖖
Really appreciate the Metric (Km/h) makes this channel truly an International friendly site 👍🏼 Thinking Global you’ve definitely done that 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The entire world should switch to metric 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Already did 😄, wish the USA would finally join 👍🏼
Loved the hill climb test! I'M SOLD!!!!
It's a solid option! 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Then of course I found out Apollo has the Phantom scooter! HOLY CHOWDAH!
@@scrubsz it’s a good one!
@@AlienRides I weight about 190. Only getting a scooter to tool around the neighborhood....BUT...we have extremely steep hills. I bought a single motor 1000W scooter and it didnt even last me a whole season. Struggled climbing hills. Would the phantom be overkill for me? Ghost is the way to go?
I like knowing features and price and mileage speeds , I like keeping up with cars on 45 plus speeds but 40 is good
For this size 40 mph or so is more than enough. Ride safe!
@@AlienRides A
Sweet video. I ordered the Ghost two weeks ago. The Phantom looks tempting too though but doesn’t ship until May. Which one would you get?
Get the one you can get today! You get to enjoy it now, and you can always sell to upgrade later. I think ghost is a fantastic scooter, but I haven't tried the phantom yet.
I'm in the same boat. The phantom tempted me hard, but I just can't wait...👻👻👻
That a dolly zoom at the beginning? Thought I was watching Jaws or Goodfellas 😉
Hah, it's fun to try different techniques. 👽🖖
Do you know the hill grade percentage California street has because i am looking for the most affordable scooter that is a beast in climbing hills?
I honestly forget, but it's quite steep, near 30% I think? I would recommend the Vsett 9+, it's an affordable and great dual motor scooter. 👽🖖
fun fact I really considered buying Apollo Ghost until I found out Kaabo Wolf Warrior went on sale for a really low price ($2399 tax free)
Nice, that price on the wolf seems really low, great buy!
The hill climb test really bringing back some Sonic Adventure 2 memories haha
I don't remember, but now I want to play! 👽🖖
Waiting for the Apollo Casper 👻 lol
Lol, Apollo Casper will be fun for sure, until the Rion Ghostbuster comes out ;-)
@@AlienRides Good one AR!!!
I’m not sure about this, but in a previous video did you mention something about a foam insert for pneumatic tires instead of tire tubes that you were using ???
This one has standard air-filled tires. I haven't tried solid tires on the ghost yet, would be interesting though.
@@AlienRides how did the foam insert do in the tires that you did use it in??
Great video ! I would like to know is there any good shop(s) in San Francisco for scooter maintainence or repair that you can recomend ? I am not that mechanically savvy but would like to keep the scooter in good condition at all time (before I purchease one). by the way, California Street is not that bad. next time try Mensell Street, some of the zip 94124 area can be a killer for hills.
Funny you mention 94124, that's exactly where we opened up our scooter repair and maintenance shop. We can definitely help you out, pev.works
We made a video on the shop here: ua-cam.com/video/zi2B6LuDL5g/v-deo.html
@@AlienRides wow, right on !! you are in my neighborhood ! now I for sure is going to paying you a visit perhaps by tomorrow.
I’m getting my ghost on Monday or Tuesday first scooter ever 😄😄😄
Awesome! You’re going to love it. 👽🖖
Looks like a decent alternative to my Speedway 5, though, not as powerful. And, this is like 600-700 bucks cheaper and can do SF hills just fine...although you should try the Bradford St test 😉. Btw, you literally passed my house albeit, it was my backyard along Alemany, lol! Kudos for going to McLaren Park!
Yeah, definitely a decent little dual motor scooter. Our warehouse (pev.works) is in the neighborhood so we're going to be doing lots of videos around the area. Some by sometime if you want.
Do you feel going at faster speeds that you would need a steering damper? The Zero 10x is wobbly as heck at fast speeds if you steer a little.
It's definitely possible to ride without one with proper riding technique, like applying pressure to the front tire when accelerating. I do think a damper is a good safety feature though, and probably a good addition if you're going 40+ mph. Ride safe!
Looks like a really good package for the price. Shame there are no lights as standard though.
Yeah, it's not bad at all for the price, definitely could add some more powerful lights to it.
I just ordered this for my first to get use to a scooter than ill get a racing scooter i think it will be a good starters still has speed with out a big price tag thanks for a good vid be safe and happy riding all..
Awesome, this is definitely a nice little package, you're going to love it!
Question if it breaks down where can i get it worked on? im in Austin Tx
@@Robert127 You would need to find a repair shop. Luckily Apollo has a great warranty and would ship stuff to our repair shop to fix. So we've got your back.
@@AlienRides even if i. In Austin send me you phone no and address ?
@@Robert127 yup, they will ship it to us! Company details on: pev.works
@2:33 did you stick your foot out to signal that you were turning or were you just trolling? BTW thinking of getting this scooter. I like the batman look :D I am new to your channel, what is that thing on your back? A booster rocket? :O Subbed. Portable mini keg?
Oh yeah, I usually stick my leg out to indicate on a scooter lol. The backpack has super secret technology inside, many have asked, no one has seen it.
Great review as ever 👌... Great scooter pound for pound. I have a zero 8X (macury speedual)... Would love to tackle california Street with it.. Should make it as the spec is virtually identical to this one power wise? By the way... What is your name if you don't mind me asking??
Definitely take your 8x up California Street some time, you should have no problem making it to the top. Everyone just calls me alien, debating having my legal name changed to that.
@@AlienRides 😂🤣... I think Alien is cool 👌.... Considering you hitting break neck speeds of 70mph on mountain roads on your RION RE90.... Fitting lol 😅👌..... I've walked up California Street 10 years ago when I visited the US.... Man its steep!! Love Sisco ❤️
That's what I'm talking about. 👍👍😁. Would love to try trails with alcohol & 420. The Real Test is Jones Street between Pine St and California. If on Pine then make a right on Jones (One way) and get on the sidewalk and go up that hill to California. My hoverboard is able to make it up. Would be great with off-road tires. 👍👍🔥😁. Thanks for sharing.
Ooh, good to know about the test on Jones st, I'll definitely have to give that street a test some time!
a better one might be in lombard street sf
ua-cam.com/video/WrKEJsbc95ch/v-deo.htmle
What's your feeling on steering dampers? Did the Ghost feel like it needs one?
I think every scooter that goes above 40-50 mph or so should have one, maybe more optional on slower scooters. I would like one on the Ghost, but not sure it's necessary.
I WATCHED YOU HAVE TRIED THE GHOST AND PHANTOM AND WHAT SHOULD I BUY BETWEEN GHOST AND PHANTOM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WANT TO BUY ONE.
Throw in the vsett 10+ for an even harder question! 😅
whats a good headlight attatchment that you reccomend?
If you have the means, I like the gemini titan: amzn.to/35yT4Ws
Do you think 35mph is enough to get a thrill and to get around quickly. I keep comparing it to the vsett10+ (46-50mph) and I keep thinking 35mph is too slow. Thoughts?
I'm late here, but I always say get more than you need if you can afford it. For most people though 35mph is fine. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Cool! I think the Vsett10+ is for me then

@@AlienRides THANKS FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION AND I WATCHED YOU HAVE TRIED THE GHOST AND PHANTOM AND WHAT SHOULD I BUY BETWEEN GHOST AND PHANTOM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WANT TO BUY ONE.
Seems good. At the hill climb test the screen shows nearly 30mph but looks like you are going 15mph. So my question is does the screen show true speed? And what is the top speed, I am wondering can a big guy (100kg) like me go 50-60km/h
I think you would be able to go 50-60kmh on this no problem. Generally the screens are pretty accurate, but can be a small amount off. I actually wonder if we had this set to kmh in the video, I can't remember.
@@AlienRides Oh if it was kmh then its probably accurate. Thanks for the answer. I am deciding between Kaabo mantis pro, Apollo ghost and Janobike T85/Laotie ES18. If you know these, can you give an opinion on which to get. I would like to go 60km/h but wondering if mantis pro or apollo could do it. Janobike T85 or Laotie ES18 would have a lot of power to go fast but damn they are heavy and big, not portable anymore. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@@maxl7827 unfortunately the only one I’ve tried and know would be the ghost, I’m a pretty big fan of it, so that would be my recommendation. Good luck with your decision!
@@AlienRides oh dang but thanks for your help😃
Would you say this one is just as comfy as the standard Pro model? Or is the Pro worth the extra dough still if you have it?
I would say that there's similar comfort, but if you don't mind a larger scooter, I'd say go for the pro, it's worth it!
@@AlienRides Awesome!
how did you get it shipped to hawaii
Hah, well we're in San Francisco, but I would hope you can ship these to Hawaii. 👽🖖
What speed do you usually cruise at with any scooter?
Just depends on conditions, I'd say for city riding 25-30mph is plenty. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Sweet. Also do you Like the vsett10+ or vsett11+ better?
@@MagicMikeBilliards just depends on which you have room for, I say go bigger if you have the space!
@@AlienRides I mean I have the space but a budget as well. I’d like to keep it under 2k if I can so the vsett10+ 20.8 looked like best option out of hours of reasearch. Just didn’t know if the 11+ was a better Bang for my Buck
Which would be a better buy: The Apollo Ghost or the Varla Eagle One which has a dual 1000W motor and is priced $100 more?
Honestly I think both are excellent choices. I haven't ridden the Varla but I think it's just a 10x? So similar quality as this probably, a bit faster, and heavier.
@@AlienRides so is the ghost faster than the varla ??
Hi there, does it have hydraulic suspension? Or just spring?
I believe it just has a spring suspension, I'll double check. Super comfy though.
@@AlienRides Thank you, much appreciated! I only fear it would lack damping and be too bouncy
How much weight are you carrying on your back? And how much do you weigh? Curious how much weight the Ghost carried up California street.
I was about 180 during this video and my backpack is pretty light, maybe only 5-10 lbs. 👽🖖
Looks like your in San Francisco, are these scooters legal to ride on the street in California?
We are in San Francisco! They are legal here, basically the same laws as bikes. We are lucky to live in such a place that's so permitting.
2:43 Its sooo weird seeing someone on youtube in places I've been lol
Hah, cool you've been there. We're going to be filming a lot in the area since we're based close by.
I'm very curious how this compares to the Blade 10. Blade 10 has slightly better motors and battery for same price.
Sounds like a pretty solid deal if true, wonder if you can get the same support and warranty, my guess would be not. I would like to compare the two though.
@@AlienRides I was thinking the same thing until I saw their both based out of the USA and do a one year warranty.
You think this would b a good wheelie machine?
I think it would be actually! Pretty smooth throttle control and great suspension.
ua-cam.com/video/5T6zSB9xMVs/v-deo.html
This definitely looks like a wheelie machine!
Thanks for the video! I like the Ghost. I would be torn between that and a Kaabo Mantis base but the better portability would likely direct me toward the Ghost.
Yeah, it's really nice because it's so portable. Come try it out some time.
Please have a seat option. Ill buy it
That would be a great option to have!
Video is awesome hands down the scenery it’s ridiculous
Thank you! Super fun making these videos and we're always trying to make better videos.
there is some grinding on the rotors when you start in the hill tests you can hear them and they're pretty loud
Good ears, I definitely hear that noise now and I'm not sure if it's the rotor or motor. If it's a bent rotor it's easy enough to fix though.
You going to get that Phantom to test?
I hope to review that one soon!
Ordered a ghost yesterday.
Probably get the Kabbo king also.
Why did you guys give it a 3 out of 10 for performance if it conquers California street?
It is a really solid scooter, just much slower than the 80mph beasts that we normally test on this channel. Maybe we should find a new way to revisit our scoring system though. 👽🖖
Are you getting a phantom?
We are definitely going to be reviewing the phantom. Things are a bit crazy right now, but should have a vid out in a few weeks.
@@AlienRides I preordered one but gotta wait till July to receive. I’ve been scraping all of UA-cam to see any and all phantom vids. Looking forward to seeing yours.
How much is RION2 RE90 delivered to Sydney 🇦🇺 in AUD?
Definitely not cheap, and the prices change often, but I think it's around $8k USD with taxes and shipping? Check the prices out: bit.ly/getrion
Apollo Ghost $1500 or Mantis Pro SE $1900 (Voro Motors edition, hydraulic brakes, monimotors ey3 throttle/display, LG battery)?
Both are really awesome, but currently I like the Apollo Ghost, I think it's got better value.
But why go with this one instead of a Nanrobot D5 capable of 40 and well very similar to this one...
I personally think the Ghost is built a bit better and has a much better warranty and customer service.
@@AlienRides the nanrobot doesn't have an ip rating
