- My first dip into the archive. This is a visit to Gniezno in Western Poland not only to see the loco works and scrap lines, but also to follow the narrow gauge PKP freight service from Gniezno to Powidz following the little PX48 loco. More archive to follow soon!
A very good video and interesting. I wish the best for all of you in Poland. I think you have a beautiful country . From Washington State in the USA
The fact that they loaded standard gauge cars onto 2 narrow gauge flatbeds is kind of crazy, but hey if it works it works.
That was standard work. There are not narrow gauge flatbeds so long to load one 8 wheels cars on.
Świetny archiwalny materiał. Te czasy już nie wrócą 😖
:-)
Niestety
Excellent piece of history! Awesome shot with a crew making repairs to the rails just before the train.
:-)
Beautiful video, country Poland

Świetny film
Great video, my best narrow gauge. Grettings from Poland.
Thank you Alan. Keep looking out on my channel - lots more vintage and recent Polish videos still to come!
Thanks for the video, but it is from twenty four years ago. Does this steam locomotive still running nowadays?
no. It's closed for 3 years now. Stem loco is out of order , second was sold for monument in Września city.
Thanks. It is too bad; the loco is adorable and super cool.
Very good record of the old railway. Worth watching.
Excellent stuff.
have you by chance got any videos from lower silesia narrow gauge? It was closed in late 1992.Trzebnica-Milicz narrow gauge.
I'm afraid not. During this period I mainly filmed the branch lines around Wolsztyn on the standard gauge.
@@PhilThomasTrains thank you
Kiedyś to było
Nice video:)
Neat little scene at 18:19. Do the tracks go downhill or did the crew push the car by hand to gain momentum?
There was a slight downslope as I recall. This area of Poland is relatively flat, so it wouldn't surprise me if they guys gave it a shove. Also, the track was not really in great condition to get the cars to roll.
I komu to kurwa przeszkadzało...
i did!
