I don't sew, but your creations reminds me of my mom and grandma sewing everything back in the 60's and 70's. Then sewing for my girls in the 80's. Such happy nostalgia!! I love your work and I think you are just the cutest ❤️

I'm dating myself, but way back in the early 70's, when they still taught Home Economics in school, one of the first things I learned to make in middle school was a simple apron, made without a pattern. This brought me right back! I took to sewing like a duck to water. I made a lot of my daughter's clothes when she was little and when she was about 8 years old, I started teaching her to sew. Her first project? You guessed it, an apron!
We also had home economics in the early 2thousand. I was was struggling to the point my teacher suggested to my parents I switch to the law class 😂😂😂 where I did very well. I struggle to date in the kitchen. But baking I'm good 😂
OMG that Santa couldn’t be cuter!!! Love the coral color! It reminds me of My Moms 1960 kitchen with the pink stove, oven, and refrigerator. The apron turned out darling and looks perfect on you. And matches your kitchen to a tee.

I used to feel the same way! I do think the vintage illustrations look way better than the modern ones. The modern photos look very flat

I love making and wearing aprons 🥰 back in the 60's and 70's the "housewife" (😂) always wore her aprons for cooking and cleaning 😂 I have old patterns and still have some of my old aprons 🥰 I love your apron and the Santa is so adorable 😍

There’s a lovely lady on ‘My sewing room’ who has a really simple method of applying binding around corners which is always neat. Truly, you won’t go wrong, it’s the method I use and I’ve tried a couple of different ways for my quilts.

I've made this same pattern, but I made view 3. I was surprised at how full the skirt actually is. Unfortunately I choose a busy print for the base fabric and the rick rack gets lost. It's cute, but not as impactful as I'd hoped. I needed a smaller print, or a darker rick rack. Ah well, I will make it again someday.

My daughter (age 10), and I love your channel! She is learning how to sew with me and caught the vintage bug. We’ve been collecting vintage patterns and learning so much. Honestly, corners for me usually involve hand-cranking the machine. The apron is adorable, and we actually wear aprons here but our store-bought ones mostly don’t fit well. I need to grab a good vintage pattern!

I got some things that were fun, practical & a couple that were really beautiful! One was the most luscious cost flannel shirt decorated with vintage "lace" (the fancy stuff that looks l appliqued embroidery. Not the batenburg; tbh, Idk its category, but, its pretty & so comfy. Perfect for chilly weather!)
I got some gorgeous beaded ornaments, too.
