- EP 111 - HIT MORE to see all the description and links!
The plan was to build the slide for the toilet, but things never go as planned. It started with the 3D printer clogging up overnight, leaving me without the parts I needed to complete the build. Then while making the first metal cut of the day, the band saw blade broke. After fixing that, I cut some pieces the wrong size, but in the end, progress was made and things started to slide (that was a good thing!)

You were definately 'pumped' in that awesome episode. If you are having trouble sleeping have your partner try a rocking motion - its my experience that it will help you get to sleep! Again glad I could be of assistance.
Especially with no shock absorbers currently on the truck, I’m surprised I haven’t fallen asleep while working in there…
Bruce, I hope you’re planning on a 3D printed trash screen for that pump. My boat has a battery box the shower drains into and it gross what ends up in there. Bilge pump sends it overboard but definitely needs cleaning regularly. Awesome work!
Absolutely! The pump has a mesh screen in the bottom, but easier to screen things before they get to the pump!
@@BruceandKrista Big comb for the hair!!!
🤣
Well, I NEVER. Nope, I never thought I'd see a pic of Bruce on the crapper. LOL It should be rated R in the description.
Condolences on the day you had. I recently had one, too. The manufacturer's suggested replacement part for the solar controller didn't fix the problem. Then the home phone quit working. Then my email stopped and the phone co said it wasn't them, my internet host said it wasn't them, and I found that some email would come in via another email client.
It’s always something! I suppose I prefer that all things like this happen together, instead of something going wrong every day. Hope you got it all working again!
Thanks for the tip on filing down the screw head! About the shower drain, where is your gray tank, and why not route the water to a tank underneath the camper?
😎 Potable and grey water tanks will be inside the rear seat benches. Reason for not going external is the camper is a slide off, so if it’s off the truck, all of its parts will still function. Besides, that would be too easy 🤣
I have 500lb slides on my deck, it droops a lot when I stand on it. I worry that sitting on the toilet will put a lot of stress on the glides.
Ahhh, there will be a slatted floor in the shower, so when it slides out it will actually rest on that. Just a few mm clearance off the floor for it to slide in and out, and then the floor will take the weight when out. (Hopefully!)
