This was not the experience I was hoping…
Sorry about the many rants in regards to shipping cost, I clearly have strong feelings about it 😝
I decided to try beneficial mites to eradicate spider mites and documented the whole thing for you.
This is my first time trying beneficial/predatory mites and it really left me less than amused.
In all fairness, I don’t believe I had an accurate or even average experience using beneficial mites but I did share everything transparently and I guess I’ll know what to expect or what could happen next time.
In the end, my plants do seem to be pest free but did the beneficials actually do it? I’ll never know for sure.
But guess what, I just placed another order to try on my ficus tineke that lives in my office. Stay tuned for this one.

I read that spider mites lay eggs in the leaf tissue so any seen damage so be cut and removed. Other creators have said that predatory mites are best for maintenance and not bad outbreaks so keep us updated

I would have done exactly what you did.... start all the work of cleaning them up. They should totally pay for shipping. Ugh. I am so worried about thrips. I have never had any pests but am trying so hard not to have any (as I know you did). I think I am at the end of bringing in new plants. I think that I have enough to be happy for a long time. I just started hoyas, but like I said, I have about 30 now and don't think that I will need any more. BUT, I know that spider mites can come in on our clothing and everything. I live in Colorado, and I do think a drier climate is a little better for the pests. Good going!! YOU did a great job!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, you may not have seen anymore of them after showering your plants but I think I could feel them crawling on me 😝 I hope the good mites get to work! Thanks for a great video. Tomorrow all my plants are getting a bath! 😊

I have always wanted to use predatory bugs, but.. ehh they are more bugs 😂😂 i have used purecrop as a preventative spray and i have read that it can be used with predatory mites. I actually really like it because it can be used many ways. Even on roots. Anyhow I hope they work and get rid of spidet mites for good 🙂
