AC3 remastered does look good for its age but it looks nowhere near as good as Origins-Valhalla or most other AAA games around now. It would be sad if a game made for 360 looked worse than games made for 2 console generations ahead.
This is why I fell in love with Assassin's Creed. For missions like this where the entire purpose is just to use the parkour system like its a toy and have a heck of a time with it. Seriously, the Assassins Tombs in AC2, the Follower of Romulus Tombs in Brotherhood, the Pieces of Eden Tombs and the Armor of Ishak Pasha, Kidd's Treasure and the Pegg Leg Missions in AC3, and the parkour missions in Unity. Up until the current franchise, Assassin's Creed has moments where the entire purpose of a game was just to jump around and have the best time in the world killing Templars. Now, it's whatever Odyssey and Valhalla are.
I completed this game this week and I must say that, I completely loved the Peg leg missions and the reward that we get after completing the missions the "Shard of Eden" is the best thing ever in the game👌

Connor was definitely one of the best assassins, and AC3 gameplay is still amazing. Best combat in the series, even though I love the skill trees they have nowadays.
I like how people in the comment section are talking about how good this game was but during the time it came out, people were saying how bad it was...the ac community is funny, each game that comes out gets hate then later on it gets appreciated... AC 1 got hate then people loved it, AC 2 got hate then people love it, AC Brotherhood got hate then people loved it, AC Revelations got hate then people loved and that pattern never stopped...people were saying "these games are all the same and never change" lol I remember those days lmao and now the cycle continues....Honestly I'm starting to believe that the people who create and ride this hate train are considered to be the minority.

This reminds me of Uncharted, but the difference is that the voice actor for Nate doesnt sound completely uninterested and robotic like Connor's lol. Huge part of what drew back from AC3 tbh. Outside of that and some aspects of the story it was a good game

Not sure what you mean by that. I understand when people prefer graphics of unity over valhalla. But AC3? Nah this game is my favourite and the franchise but it doesn't look as good as valhalla or unity.

I like those have a good blend of story continuity, more player indulging, and a good graphics... Doesn't mind if it's a little low, but if there's no story or a system where the player feel less control over the character... No high graphics can save it.
I get they didn't want to do another trilogy but I felt it had potential exploring the new world perhaps ending the Connor trilogy with the War of 1812 as his son or daughter.

Weirdly enough this is where I started to feel they were stripping the parkour down for a more casual audience. The Ezio trilogy treated parkour like these intricate puzzles where in the later entries started having hand holdy paths in their structure. It’s a shame honestly cuz parkour was the best thing about this franchise and no Unity’s parkour didn’t do it for me either
Imagine if black flag had this much effort in its Mayan ruins. Don't think there's a single pyramid in the entire map for AC4. Sad when AC3 dose the jungle Mayan setting better in 1 mission then black flag dose with a whole game. (Love AC3 and AC4 both tho)
@@a3a222 ac4 has a map of small locations put together with the sea. Most islands are no different then a mission location attached to a wider free roaming map. That's how they made the map work for navel. So there is no excuse for the game not including impressive Mayan temples and more realistic jungles. Only look at the Sa,e teams work on origins and tell me I'm wrong. They could create far more detailed and more impressive things even in AC revelations or AC3 then what we see in black flag. I like black flag alot infact, but mostly due to the story not the map. It's an understatement to say that the game disappointed with its open world considering it's great setting and the fact they barely scratched most the locations pirates of the time really visited.
There were some in Black Flag. Tulum - the assassin's headquarter under Mayan leader Ah Tabai, also on the island of Misteriosa and some smaller ruins on that Providence island where Edward and Charles Vane where marooned by Calico Jack for example. But yeah, they weren't as detailed as this one I suppose...
I've always liked these games but it's amazing to see so many commenting on how much they miss games like these, when before they said that this one didn't have the essence of the saga, I found a random guy talking in AC Unity's e3 gameplay that finally the saga would come back to his roots, naming the games he did not like as pirate creed or mohak creed objectively good games? or nostalgia?
AC is the spiritual successor of PoP. Shame we never actually saw a combination of the two, like say, an AC set in the Sassanian Persia, showing what the Assassins of Alamut looked like at the time (and their interactions with other Brotherhoods, like the Roman Assassins, the Indian Assassins and the Chinese Assassins).
No disrespect to y’all Assassin Creed fanatics but I been playing Assassin Creed since day one with Altair and when people hate on Origins,Odyssey,Valhalla because the Parkour or Assignations is whack watching this video and other videos of previous Assassin Creed games I see no difference in Parkour or Assignations it’s almost identical but the smallest, minest things that are different. @@babytaz5926 mhm tbh of all the modern ac games in recent years unity is my favorite and its mostly because the gameplay. I fell in love with the parkour animation even tho the changes were small like the way he rolls so smoothly off rooftops or slides on edges and when he climbs sometimes he will do this little flip as you climb honestly so dope. The immersion also was top notch for me cause you could run into house and tho thats been in previous ac games it so much smoother in unity. The combat was clean cause you had different animations for different sets of weapon u can use so that was dope too. Things like that i wish ac games would go back too. Its sad that they didn’t keep that unity fluidity to things in the newer ac games like origins and stuff. I would of been more invested cause i like aesthetically pleasing things even if its in the movement of the character. I like the small things. Man i miss that game😭

i played this mission years before the remstrd version exists in xbox 360 you have to collect peg leg trinkets and bring them to the man at the homestead port he will give you a location to find captain kidd's treasure
I just played it on switch and without any guide😂 i feel proud cuz Im usually very outsmarted by games I really want more scenarios like this and stories in the tropics. I know there are other games but i mean assassin's creed… the map is really pretty. And reminded me to Monster Hunter flooded forest Short quest but it gave me a lot of vertigo and anxiety as Boston is not quite high.
I don't miss environmental puzzle on any AC game. It's ok for several times. After that it becomes tedious. Nowadays AC games forgoes environmental puzzle. I think it makes the game faster and better.

@@thecholones oh ok i see what you mean the parkour of unity was the best to me as well, the combat could have been a lil better in my opinion to me in the previous AC games i never liked the combat it was to slow and clunky i like the RPG element combat more i do believe if the AC had the RPG element combat and the parkour as smooth as Unity i think AC would have done alot better. but I definitly agree what your saying about the small things well said.

i played this mission years before the remstrd version exists in xbox 360 you have to collect peg leg trinkets and bring them to the man at the homestead port he will give you a location to find captain kidd's treasure

it's available after sequence 5 you have to find trinkets for Peg Leg and he will give you the locations of cptain kidd's treasures
I don't miss environmental puzzle on any AC game. It's ok for several times. After that it becomes tedious. Nowadays AC games forgoes environmental puzzle. I think it makes the game faster and better.
