The thing that always impressed me about these types of half court/really long distance shots by MJ was the fact that he still SHOT the ball. He didn't just chuck it up, or sling it with all his might. It was still a JUMP SHOT with correct form! Just shows MJ's upper body strength.
Well said abudi. What distinguishes this from other "miraculous" buzzer beaters is that this one manifested an evident level of true skill, not just luck.
I rememberd I watched this game when I was just a kid....I was just wondering who is gonna post this classic buzzer beater.....then suddendly...you did!!! lol Thanks man~~~~^__^
I'm 14 and i'm like a really big fan of him he's my favorite player of all time i'm just stating even kids these days are familiar with jordan. and by the way you can tell that was skill ;)
my friend was telling me how kobe was reaching michael jordans level and crazy stuff like that then i told him there's no comparison at all. then this kid hears us and gets in it on how michael is on another planet and a whole group of people started calling him stupid for even using kobe in the same sentence as michael. for me thats enough proof that michaels the greatest of all time
@TheHeReTiiK right but we all know that the connotation of buzzer beater is that it is a hugely clutch shot that won a game, forced overtime or at least appeared to do one of those, its the reason people get excited to see them and find them on youtube. There's always a disappointment when its a 1st, 2nd or 3rd q ending and none of those can be considered great because they arent clutch...even if it is MJ who is the greatest, lets be real here. All of his 28 game winners matter more than this.
What da hell you calling me 'abudi' for? And how can something 'manifest' an 'evident' level of true skill? That sentence doesn't make the slightest bit of sentence grammatically
This is pretty good. Not the best though. I still say the best is Jerry West's half court shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. But this shot is still win.
That one was pretty cool, but go to this video: watch?v=TuryGoKXT-Q&feature=related and fast forward to 2:36. It's better cuz it was in a finals game and was at an angle.
A great buzzer beater but it wasn't the winning shot. I still think his shot in the deciding game of the 1st round at Cleveland in 1989 was the greatest buzzer beater in NBA history. Just my opinion. Now what is not subject to serious debate is that Michael Jordan is the GREATEST NBA PLAYER OF ALL TIME.
if you mean "buzzer beater" as a noun, wehre MICHAEL JORDAN is the greatest buzzer beater the NBA has ever seen then i def agree with you. But MJ has had MANY buzzer beaters much better than this both in skill and importance.
@darkink0218 I posted that last comment just to piss off jordan fanboys and lebron haters, i dont even like lebron, but im not a hater!!! people hate on lebron so much so i stick up for him sometimes.
come on, greatest buzzer beater in NBA history? this wasn't even the 4th q or OT buzzer. If its beating the 1st, 2nd or 3rd quarter buzzers, don't bother calling it a buzzer beater cuz its really not that relevant to earn that title. It is Jordan and its a great shot but come on buzzer beater implies that it significantly impacted the game's outcome. This did not.

this is so crazy. this buzzer beater look like a normal shot. amazing

Wow amazing!!!!
Well said abudi.

Thanks man~~~~^__^
Beautiful jumper from half court.
Nice find Blitz.
MJ = the greatest ever
What about Jerry West's buzzer beater in the All-Star game or the 1 in the '70 Finals to send it into overtime?
I'm 14 and i'm like a really big fan of him he's my favorite player of all time i'm just stating even kids these days are familiar with jordan. and by the way you can tell that was skill ;)

I'm a Utah fan, and I remember seeing that shot live and thinking.
"Haha theres no wa-...:-("
LBJ had a similiar one this season. Impressive
@Intramorph it is more lower body strenght bro.Strenght of jumpshot comes from legs
@MrKingElvis haha trust me i seen most of his highlights and very stunned!
@thequackzi: How could it be 00.0 when the clock was still moving when he released the ball. Watch it again. LOL.
@Arthur Zhdanov Because it was a buzzer beater
@VitaminDee101 Staring At The World Through My Rearview by the late great Tupac Shakur
Pause it at 0:44 - ball's still in his hands, clock says 00.0
that my friend...is aimbot

@tyakack he didn't do it it in a jump shot form from half court.
@Intramorph lol everybody knows the distance of the shot comes from the legs and how high you jump

.......dog that didnt even touch the rim mj=greatest ever
Awesome shot but NOWHERE near being the greatest buzzer beater in NBA history. Let's not get carried away here.
no one ask your opinion man i hate when people put lebron or kobe in mj videos its like they thrive fofr attention
That one was pretty cool, but go to this video: watch?v=TuryGoKXT-Q&feature=related

Jordans jump shot were higher than kobes dunks. Kobe pump fakes cuz he can't jump nomore.

Nah, Jerry West in the Finals was better...this was pretty meh.
i like devin harris better :/
lebron's 80 foot one was better
D wills was better
@gunsnroses1ful kobe is the closest thing to jordan if not better
Um lebron did this before lol lots of times actually, so best in nba history? no.
lol the greatest buzzer beater? funny joke. you ever seen derek fishers?
loool thats not the greatest buzzer beater in nba history , narrow minded jordan fan .
