It’s different times but nowadays I would think every youth player signed up to any large club isn’t allowed to play street football. It may have been different in the 60’s though. We were friends with a former Rangers youth player in the mid 80’s who used to play football with us but he just kicked the ball way, he didn’t tackle or run with the ball.
I couldn't believe just how fastly elegant Johan Cruyff was. Unbelievable. He is not your typical player who you dare to challenge with. When he is on the field, he is such a professor that would teach you some demos to play simple football in an actual motion as if he's communicate to his opponents in a sense that is not a football match as it looks, but rather a football session. Impressive. Johan Cruyff is such a great legend of the beautiful game.👑⚽🏆💯✨

Rarely we see such harmony when a superstar who is very famous where people all around the world admire him, but Cruyff still manage and was able to keep this balance with his role as a husband for his lovely wife Danny Coster and as a father for his three children. It means that Hendrik Johannes Cruyff was truly a great man and can be a raw model for any famous football player now a days. A moment when Cruyff accepted his loss in the final of World Cup 1974 from West Germany where he greeted German players one by one and gently came to the tribune to recieve silver medal showed the world how big and charismatic he was. Again and again he told to the football fans that to win the footbal game is important but to win the football fan's heart is the most important thing. He was one of the main innovative and revolutionary game, along with Rinus Michels coach in the 70's. Cruyff was the brain and the heart that unforgettable team of Holland. And Cruyff, as an athlete, was the greatest exponent of this concept. His influence, over the years, has proved deeper and longer lasting than that of others players considered "geniuses", such as Pelé and Maradona. It is obvious that these were also extraordinary players, but what I'm dealing with here is about the influence exercised and the impact on football. In this aspect, Cruyff is far beyond what any other player I know. In addition, he was also a prodigy on the technical side, not to mention the lead he had over his teammates on the pitch. So before we discuss about "Who was the best", we must take into account all these factors. Regarding the supremacy of Cruyff on the current players, needless to say.

Maybe Bergkamp with whatever he did against Newcastle but i dont know how to call that except from magic and for sure once in a lifetime ;) But Cruijff is the overall master of Footbal!
Johan Cruijff, R.I.P.
My favourite player of all time, an absolute legend and giant of the game. R.I.P. still miss him now and always will. The man who made me fall in love with football.
Johann Cruijff the BEST player ever of his time, he was so humble and a real engineer on the field... the heart of his teams, he did not need to win a Footbal World Championship to show his class and how he was the graetest To win a FWC is not a guarantee to be the best player in the world
Criijff is the best ever. He started to play in a time that money became more important in the game and that nearly criminal tackles were allowed. He could avoid all of that because he was able to play with both feet, had an acceleration in the acceleration, could influence the speed of the game when required, outsmarted the opposite team and nearly his own team by far, thinks years ahead in terms of applicable tactics and longs term strategies to become the best of all time. When he would be a German player, he would have at least 3 world titles. He dealt also with the pressure of the political influence as a person and used his world famous brand to not only find the best players but to develop children also in their education. He is as Barcelona more than just a football team, much more than just a soccer player.
Cruyff!!!! World's best mix of power with grace, strength with elegance, skill with artistry.... Maradona and Pele are best footballers, Johan.....the best football artist!!!!
+Praveen Anto Excuse me: he was the greatest, because he created with Ajax and the Dutch national team the famous total football and later as coach with Barcelona he created the great tikkitakka football. In okther words: he is the Einstein of Football and the player who contributed the most to our beloved game of football.

Greatest European forward ever and Ajax changed the idea of playing football in early 1970's. Especially old fashioned English players with mediocre ball control ability were decimated. Just like Germans those Dutch players had both skill and intellectual thinking about the game generally.
For all of you who are still comparing players to Cruijff . There are So many Great Beautifull Skillfull Succesfull Footballers/Players But Cruijff is the Artist who has created a complete Art Movement "The Dutch School". #1 4 Ever

For all i know there are 2 players who have a signature move named after them. Zidane with his Swirl and Cruijff with the Cruijff turn, both unique! Maybe Bergkamp with whatever he did against Newcastle but i dont know how to call that except from magic and for sure once in a lifetime ;) But Cruijff is the overall master of Footbal! An unforgettable legend that will live on forever with his legacy on Holland 74, Ajax, Spain and the best team Barca ever had and the best ever team in history of Footbal. All made possible by NR.14!! Love you :)
Nessuno come lui, eleganza allo stato puro
And not one single dive...
Well said: an aspect of football that I loathe and contributes to my indifference when I think of football today.
If any current player replaced Cruijff in this video, it would be 14 minutes of them on the floor.
I hate living in America I always wished I grew up in Spain, Italy, or England because they keep saying football is not a sport and call it soccer SMH....This video keeps reminding me how football is so dam beautiful....RIP Johan Cryuff
No problem where you born bro
Cruyff,one of the best in history,magnificent skills,very refined,elegant player,very intelligent,great vision,great understanding of the game,a complete player,leader,a legend
The Beautiful Game, played by the most brilliant player ever to grace a pitch. Genius.
one of the few videos in which the music is chosen impeccably and to better enjoy the beauty of Cruijff and its play. Thanks Jeroen
His majesty Johan Cruyff has never been in my heart, I have always loved this incredible player
The legends sush as Johan Cruyff never die because always stay in oyr hearts!!!
Goodbye Johan Cruyff :( !!!
We forever will remember you!!!
one of the few that changed football. Rest in peace
REST IN PEACE JOHAN CRUIJFF from Feyenoord fan
+Df Jansen Goed Johan gaat boven 020 en 010. Ajax fan
so true!
hij is 014
ha ha ,pas op 014 ligt net over de grens in duitsland!
Cruyff played for Feyenoord as well and won the double.
R.I.P. my father died also last week and Cruyff was my father's favourite player...
Johan Cruijff, R.I.P.
Dankjewel.. R.I.P.
+bastaardzmuller precies
+Patrick Vermeirsch So true! Greatest player of all time! Greetings and respect from Germany.
Finally a football video with decent music!
My favourite player of all time, an absolute legend and giant of the game. R.I.P. still miss him now and always will. The man who made me fall in love with football.
Johann Cruijff the BEST player ever of his time, he was so humble and a real engineer on the field... the heart of his teams, he did not need to win a Footbal World Championship to show his class and how he was the graetest
To win a FWC is not a guarantee to be the best player in the world
Criijff is the best ever.
He was way ahead of his time Rest In Peace legend
Some people are just born to play football, Cruyff was one of those.
The best player in history!
Cruyff!!!! World's best mix of power with grace, strength with elegance, skill with artistry.... Maradona and Pele are best footballers, Johan.....the best football artist!!!!
Best compilation I've every seen as tribute to Johan Cruijff. Thx!
Ajax 4 life !!!
Cruyff was the master on the pitch The Cruyff turn was masterclass.🇳🇱❤❤
Cruyff is the greatest European Football player of all time and he is up there with Pele and Maradona
+Praveen Anto Excuse me: he was the greatest, because he created with Ajax and the Dutch national team the famous total football and later as coach with Barcelona he created the great tikkitakka football. In okther words: he is the Einstein of Football and the player who contributed the most to our beloved game of football.
Zidane is the best european player.Cruyff is better than Pele but not Maradona.Messi is the best
No way, there has never been a player who had more influence in football than Cruijff. He was, is and will be forever the best in the world!
Zidane ?? Did you watch this??
zidane???????????? WTF!, not even in the same league
Greatest European forward ever and Ajax changed the idea of playing football in early 1970's. Especially old fashioned English players with mediocre ball control ability were decimated. Just like Germans those Dutch players had both skill and intellectual thinking about the game generally.
Totally right. Well, except for the 1970s bit.
Wow, this must be the best footballvideo i have seen. In perfect harmony/sync with the music.
jeez what an elegant player
great video, best of Cruyff I've seen....
He's the real GOAT and nobody can touch him, not even nowadays!
Very well made video and RIP to one of worlds greatest players!
I'm just gutted. What a terrible day. Cruyff will live forever. How i miss this kind of football and Cruyff. The whole nation is in shock. RIP Johan.
For all of you who are still comparing players to Cruijff .
There are So many Great Beautifull Skillfull Succesfull Footballers/Players
But Cruijff is the Artist who has created a complete Art Movement "The Dutch School".
#1 4 Ever
I saw this and sometimes when messi plays reminds me a bit to cruijff playing RIP Johan Cruijff ⚽master.
He simply was the first in... too much to mention. Without Cruyff there would have been no Messi, no Zidane, no Van Basten, no Bergkamp, no Henry, no Zlatan etc... and somehow he thinks it's normal. What an artist!!!
+Mark Jan van den Brink The players you mentioned; they didn't grow up watching football, they grew up playing it - without seeing Cruyff play. Everyone is a creator, everyone is an artist;)
Cruyff is amazing, no doubt about it....but your comment is an example of who is truly the most underrated of all time by his omission...and who also states Cruyff was his idol.... Michael Laudrup! Whilst he'll be forever indebted to Cruyff he was slightly better in my opinion.
Be happy people, he had a great life!
His game came to an end, his legacy is still with us!
I miss him, even so.
Unbelievable. Pure perfection..
Meest fascinerende voetballer ooit.
The greatest player I had the pleasure of watching. Feeling a little sad.
