What gauge wire do you prefer for power remote ground/are the speaker wires that come with your speakers good to use?

Power and ground 0/1 guage 16 guage forntemote and depending on speakers 14 or sub 12 or 10 guage

Man you literally don’t need 0 guage unless you have a very powerful amp to go with that little amp.
4 guage or 8 guage is more then enough I have the 400x4 and 800x4 now if you have what this guy has two Amplifiers then yes you need at least 0 guage or 2 guage but double runs of both.
I have a sundown 2000 watt it has to have the oversized 0 guage double runs but the Sundown 2000.1 does more like 2400 certified at 1 ohm.
Also a much bigger alternator you have to have power to make power.
You can’t just run off a factory alternator with big wire and think your getting 2400 watts not happening maybe a little over half.
You also have to have a big 3 upgrade if using bigger amps.
I know you probably didn’t want all that information but thought I would tell you anyways.
Been specializing in Amp audio systems since 1996 so not my first rodeo.
It’s really fun once you get started and really get into it.
The first system I ever installed was for my self 2. 15 inch Orion XTR subs and a Alpine 500 watt amp.
Back in the day that was a pretty beefy Amp and the subs were much easier to push compared to now days.
Average subs 800-1200 watts and that’s not even beefy subs.
So back in the 90s 400-500 watts you could have a pretty loud system .
But hope you figure out everything and good luck on the hookup.

That's a bit much but yeah just be careful you don't give them all that power.

I have (4) 4ohm speakers, how do I wire that up. I haven't found a clear enough explanation on UA-cam yet

    • @Ron-Webster
      @Ron-Webster  2 роки тому

What impedance do you want to end up with. The amp you have will tell you the lowest impedance you can run at! Find that out and get back to me.

2ohm would be nice. Does that me just follow the 2ohm directions or are those directions only for if you have 2ohm speakers?
I don't mind keeping them at 4ohm, so does that mean to use the above directions so I have to bridge them?
      Thanks for responding too!
