I am in my 1st semester in nursing school. Let me tell you that I am passing Pathophysiology because of your videos. My 1st Patho exam, I had a 65/100. Then I started to watch your videos, and they help me not to memorize but to understand. In my 2nd exam, I had a 92/100 and I continuously passed with high grades. You are my mentor, and I am forever grateful.
So awesome! I'm so honored to help you out! Thank you for the awesome comment. I wish you continued success in your studies and remember my channel will always be here for you :)
Hi Sara, I just started nursing school and am finding that it's difficult to enjoy the journey when I'm always up against deadlines and stress. Watching this really helped me validate my feelings so thank you!
Anything worth while takes a lot of energy and dedication. My feeling is that if you've decided to take on this Herculean endeavor, that's where you were meant to be.
Study for Hesi... read 19 chapters for a test ... do clinical paper work... not make a mistake in clinicals..do homework with kids... work... study study study ...all in one week then repeat ugh Nursing school was so glad when I was done... you are a blessing to so many please continue your good work
Thank you sarah , there are times I feel unmotivated and I need this kind of video I’m doing good so far in school but I feel like I’m not confident at all specially we have clinicals coming this week . I over analyze things . I know u got this I’m scared to fail . Please continue to motivate us . Thank you angel Sarah ❤️🙏🏻
I think this channel is a good resource too if you are thinking of pursuing nursing or just interested In learning about the medical field in general. I love watching your videos just because I’m curious about medical things and it gives me a basic understanding of how things work even if I don’t retain all of the info right away.
You're right Sara, I just need to get through the struggle and try to learn what I can. I'll learn the rest through experience. My self esteem is so low with nursing school because I want to do well and I always feel behind. But your video is making me want to push harder. I know I'll be a good nurse and I want to make a change!
Thank you so much!! I failed microbiology and told myself I'm nothing going to continue. I'm going to trying harder and study more because I can do it. I'm binge watching your videos to get any suggestions.
I just finished my first semester of nursing school and the whole time I experienced every single thing you just mentioned! Thank you for the advice! It's encouraging to hear that you went through the same things and now you're very knowledgeable. Great video!
Some of my professors use your videos. I'm only in A&P 2 but I'm learning and adapting behaviorally in order to meet these challenges. Everytime I think it's impossible I just think that I felt the same way before the last challenge and how different that last challenge was from the prior one... Found my may to this video in the unmotivated moments of a full memory. The part about thinking back and being happy that we did it was a little push I needed ♡.
sarah thank you so much for your videos...they were a great resource. you made them soo simple yet soo on point. just what I needed. and those quizzes just right after a video was awsome. I passed my NCLEX on the first attempt..just 75 questions. and you played a very large...great role. Thank you.
Congrats, Silvia RN :) That is so AWESOME you passed. Thank you for using my videos and quizzes. I'm so happy they helped you prep. Thank you for your kind words, and I wish you the best in your nursing career!
Thank You! So true....all of it. I went to Dental Hygiene school also and I can remember after I became licensed, telling current students that if you can get through school....that is the hard part. Now I am in nursing school and I remind myself of this all the time. One week at a time....you really help, you do. I tell people all the time to check out your channel. Keep up the good work!!!!!
#2 was spot on. With COVID-19 going on and everything online I have been following you and you have helped a lot but there are so many times I panic and think I know nothing!
I just recently came across this channel and it has got me so motivated to start nursing school after I recently got accepted into a BSN program. And I can't wait to finishing watching all these videos :)
You are so amazing!! Thank you for all you do!! I'm going to college in the fall to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse & I just love watching your videos!! You are so great!! God bless❤
Hello Adriana :) Thank you so much for the comment and for watching the video. That is so awesome you will be starting school this fall to become a nurse. I hope to see you on here a lot when you start your nursing classes. I hope my channel can help you through that journey. God bless :)
Thank you soooo much for this video! Everything you’re saying is exactly how I’m currently feeling in my nursing program. This gives me more confidence... It feels so good to know that I’m not alone ❤️
i'm now preparing for my LVN board exam and wants to pursue RN after.. please don't get fed-up in helping students like me.. thank you very much and godbless you always.
Your a God sent 😇 I’m so happy that you a UA-cam channel and are a positive influence in my life and for others as well. I hope I can be a great nurse just like you ☺️
Other than the workload. The hardest part for me was standing up for myself against an abusive instructor. I wish I had done so much sooner now that I look back and let her know her behavior was NOT ok.
Thank you for sharing, everything you describe in the video is exactly what I am experiencing. I'm currently unmotivated because i struggle so hard for the first two semester and barely passed my classes, I spent over 15 hours at the library each day and gained 10 lbs. I'm very miserable and wondering if this is still worth it.
I'm considering going back to school for Nursing. I'm nervous about because I'm bread winner and I know I'll have to work the entire time. I was pursuing a Bachelors in Teaching, but it's not for me. I'm really unsure because I have to in many ways start over, find funding, etc.
hi ur vedios are awesome n helpful alot fire infact every body .... I learn quickly from ur vedios ..... nice effort done by u 👍✌👌👏👏👏👏 thanku so much dear n happy good Friday n happy Easter in advance
I LOVE yourow many videos! thank you so much for all the help they have given me...I will have my LPN license in January and will be taking my pre nursing classes for the RN bridge program.. how many hours were you able to work while in the RN program,, if any,,, thank you!!!
Thank you so much Sarah for your informative videos, they are so helpful to understand materials that I have never fully understood in my life. Please continue to post more videos, thanks a lot!
Yesterday I received my lowest exam grade since being in college in AP2, an 80% which isn't terrible, but, it definitely takes a toll on perseverance. It makes me feel like, "if I am already declining on my exam grades how am I going to maintain at least a 3.5 to my 3.97 GPA in nursing to be eligible and competitive for BSN and graduate level programs later..." My advisor calls me a perfectionist and says I need to let go of be that....but, GPA is forever....
Is it normal for instructors to never open skills lab and just let you drown? I threw away the lab schedule after contacting every tutor with no success of getting lab time. I only get 1 hour a week. I really think having helpful instructors would alleviate some of the unnecessary worry that is tacked on to the already stressed nursing student.
Well said, am currently in my RN program now , right after I passed my Nclex. So I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and motivation. There is a lot of material to remember and we also do HESI, boy that HESI exams are not easy. What's your best ways of studies preparing for HESI Exams?
Oh yes...those HESI exams! I have a video where I discuss how to prep in detail. I think the video may help you. You can view it here: ua-cam.com/video/dYEL6JxkyhQ/v-deo.html Best wishes on HESI....I think it really helps to prep you for NCLEX!
I love your videos! Your so inspirational! can you do more videos on anatomy and physio 2? your videos really help me understand the material better. thank youu!
Thank you so much for the suggestions :) Yes, I will definitely add more videos on these topics over time. Always keep checking back because every week I uploaded new content with review quizzes. Here are all my current lectures: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfWwTsEG3KPPQx9rWa8AqMIk.html
Hi Sara,my husband really wants me to study nursing but it’s been long gap (almost 7,8 years)in my study .I’m nervous and lack confident to start again, main concern is that I’m not science student,I don’t know whether I’ll make it or not,I can’t remember anything when I just try to see through the books,my only question is can average student can study nursing?please help me but seeing your videos has really motivated me towards nursing school ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What are your thoughts on how manageable working full time and going through nursing school would be? I’m weighing options at the moment and your videos have helped me immensely!!
In Canada, most people don't work full-time at all without sacrificing grades. Even part-time work can be a struggle depending on how many hours you work. I work casually which allows me to pick up a shift here or there. School is the commitment and it comes first.
thanks sarah ,your videos always informative. and what do you say about nurses who study nursing out side US to prepare for nclex and work as a nurse here? THANKS AGAIN GOD BLESS
I suggest getting a good NCLEX review guide and practice NCLEX questions over and over. I have several videos on how to prep for NCLEX that may guide you. You can access them here: ua-cam.com/users/RegisteredNurseRNsearch?query=nclex Best wishes :)
As of right now, I am ending my sophmore year of highschool. I've always have been interested in medicine, but ive just recently really been looking into it as a career. I know I have some time before nursing school, but I was wondering what things I could do in my last year's of highschool and into college to help prepare. What classes are most beneficial in highschool and college? I am planning on taking a program my senior year where I sort of shadow nurses at hospitals near me. Should I start studying over my summer breaks to better prepare before starting nursing school? I want to have some extent of knowledge. I figure if I do, starting won't be as overwhelming. It would be a great help if you could share what will be most helpful for me. Thank you!! (by the way, you make great lectures)
Hello Brooke :) I'm so excited that you are wanting to enter the nursing field. We will be honored to have you. When you start college you will be given a curriculum on the classes you will need to take before you apply to the college's nursing program. These will be your pre-req courses that will help prep you for nursing school....like Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology etc. While in high school, try to take Anatomy and Physiology (it will help with the A & P classes you will take in college), first aid, medical terminology....any class that is health-science related will help. If you want to start reviewing for nursing school, I would start with the very basics like medical terminology, CPR, vital signs etc. Look on UA-cam for videos on medical disease and nursing skills. It is a GREAT idea you are going to shadow a nurse. Another thing that would greatly help you is if you could get a part-time job during the summer working as a nursing aid. You will learn so much about nursing and build on the basics of nursing. This will allow you to learn how things work in a hospital, and what a nurse does on a daily basis. It will be great experience. If you can't find a part-time doing this...try to look at any volunteer positions at your local hospital. I have many videos that may help you as well. You can see them here: ua-cam.com/users/RegisteredNurseRNsearch?query=high+school I wish you the best, Brooke :) and I hope to see you on here a lot when you start nursing school.
RegisteredNurseRN Thank you so much!! I actually signed up for an anatomy and physiology class next year, so that's good. I'm really excited😂 thank you
I'm in my school's PCT program. I start CNA in September, then EKG and Phlebotomy. Now I just talked to my advisor and she's telling me. If I score high on my CNA grade and pass both Intro Bio and Intro PSY (with an A) I can apply out right to Nursing school. So my question is should I continue doing the PCT Program or once I finish CNA school take whatever job I can get take those classes and apply to Nursing school?
Silly question but did balf thr people actually make it to pass nursing. I want to be a nurse it's in my blood but where to start how to start again it's all so overwhelming. I started in 2009...life definitely happened n now I am so timid being a visual and tactful learner. Procrastination is like my shadow and it would take a toll financially since I am the bread winner of the home. I know I may have to even take remedial math courses... kinda feeling hopeless at this point
Thanks a lot for this advice. Taking my final exam on 26th for my first year in Nursing school. It a BSN program. Please will be doing Med surg and Psych nur, for my next semester (ist semester second year). What can you advice me on how to study for them. I heard Med surg is hard.
I just finished my med surg courses and my advice is to make sure you're understanding the material and not just studying. Think of reading the textbook as you reading a story that you must understand in order to tell someone. Also, you should practice questions. A lot of questions. Try to tackle the material for the test and leave about 2 days prior to the test to review the material, whether that be any PowerPoints or notes and practice questions.
Hello :) I actually have a detailed video on how to study for Med Surg that may help guide in you in how to study. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/tcpc0wBOjpI/v-deo.html
For me, it was my classmates! Honestly went to school with some pretty crappy excuses for human beings that I would never EVER want to touch me or anyone I care about. I think the nasty nurse thing starts in nursing school. For some reason, the profession attracts some pretty arrogant and ill-mannered people. Honestly, the bullying was worse than junior high school. I HATED being in class and anytime the teacher would say, "Get into your clinical groups", I just wanted to cry. It got to where I just simply didn't get up and didn't participate b/c the two guys in the group wouldn't allow the females to know anything so everything we said was instantly dismissed and ignored. I also just sat as far away from people as possible during lecture and stopped socializing at all.
I've been kicked out of LPN clinical because of a small parking incident. I just want to give up nursing. Nurses are not perfect people. Why are nursing students expected to be nursing. 2nd time getting kicked out
Hello :) Thanks for watching the video. I suggest you contact the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to help assist you with this question and the requirements: www.ncsbn.org/index.htm
I most definitely will in the very near future. Always, stay tuned because every week I upload new videos with review quizzes :) Here are all my current lectures: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfWwTsEG3KPPQx9rWa8AqMIk.html

I think because wherever you get a group of women together that is what often happens. I prefer to work with men anyway.
You are an angel 💕
Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time out to leave this comment. I really appreciate it!
I look forward to watching all of your videos to help me through school and test prep. Thanks for taking the time to be positive. Cheers and Nurse On!

Thank you soooo much
Thank you
I want to become a rn any school you recommend?
Why do we have to take 2 hesi test for??? It’s unnecessary!!
I've been kicked out of LPN clinical because of a small parking incident. I just want to give up nursing. Nurses are not perfect people. Why are nursing students expected to be nursing. 2nd time getting kicked out
expected to be 'perfect' not nursing

Your videos are amazing! Is there any for male reproductive and renal failure? 🙂
