The child neglect stories are insane. Both my parents were addicted to WoW when I was growing up, and the two of them spent entire days in their “Computer Room” to play with each other. I can remember from as young eight making my siblings food & cleaning the house on my own. I used to have burn scars over my arms & legs from burning myself while cooking food but they’ve faded now. It’s something I honestly don’t think about anymore because it’s so far in the past for me, but I wonder how close my siblings & I were to dying from neglect just from a damn video game

Oh man, I remember reading about a case like this for the first time.
I think it took place in Brazil, there was this 16 year old who was friends with an 11 year old and they were neighbors, they played an online RPG together and one day the 11 year old stole some gold from him.
He got so angry over it that he went to the 11 year olds house (the kids were home alone at the time), he beat and sexually abused the 11 year old, when the kid was unconscious, he thought he was dead, so he cut off his legs to drag the body somewhere else, during the process of the leg cutting the 11 year old woke up in extreme pain and he died after a while.
The 11 year olds brother later came home to see his little brother cut to pieces on the floor of the front door hallway.
It was probably one of the most horrific cases I've read about at the time, it included the crime scene photos.
This 16 year old had many more problems than just in-game gold being stolen obviously, and I think he killed himself at around 2009 but nobody is for sure.

One day I put my baby down for his nap around 11:30am and started to play Sims. Usually my alert to stop playing was hearing him wake up. This particular day my alert was the sun starting to set 😐. When I looked at the clock it was almost 5pm😓. My son had slept for 5 hours and I was totally unaware of the time because I was playing my game. I can not act out my actual violent tendencies because police are practically omniscient with forensic science. Not only that, a simple fight will result in my termination from my job. Now, I have a plan for that and it involves mass harm to the populace for I can not feed my tendancies if I have no money. I also refuse therapy because therapy does not work on me for I refuse to care about what I need to do to improve. I dont want to improve for someday I will die and all improvements will be for nothing. Video games help distract me from these trains of thought, and as such I need to play them or fall into despair and act out on my violent tendencies.

People cope with post partum and postpartum depression in different ways. I myself immersed myself in video games and media from my childhood when I was suffering from postpartum depression, panic attacks and agoraphobia. It was the only thing that made it easier to live through another day. It was a way to" escape" to something that brought a little bit of comfort. I had family caring for my newborn at the time and I never got full blown "addicted " to the media and games I was investing in but I could easily see how it could be possible and could have spiraled out of control had I not had any help with the situation or if I had been alone. It's not an excuse and can't say for sure it's the case but it's ignorant to rule out post partum completely as symptoms of depression vary from person to person

I can’t even begin to believe that video games do this to someone. I used to play this game called Star Wars: Galaxies and had 1,706 days and multiple hours and minutes on it.
Unfortunately, I became a heroin addict but I beat the addiction. It had nothing to do with video games. I can’t blame it on anything but myself. I’ve been clean for more than three years and every single day I am so grateful.
It’s really heartbreaking to see people get this psychotic over a video game. Being born in 1990, I have been obsessed with gaming since Nintendo64, PlayStation 1, Xbox and their predecessors.
I’m currently a PC gamer to this day racking up thousands and thousands of hours playing Shogun II: Total War and Rome: Total War, but gaming has never affected my life. In the slightest. Whether I lose or even get dominated. Video games are supposed to be fun, foremost, and a challenge, secondly, for you to strive to be better. Which hopefully influences the player to struggle to be better in their life.
Again, video games are an amazing thing. Whether some get addicted to them or not shouldn’t be a problem. However, the mental state of video game players should be evaluated. It can be a source of entertainment or a source of disgrace for some people.

I started a business in it using photoshop to create stuff, so whatever few hours I wasn't playing, I'd be creating for it. I had spreadsheets for production, multiple email/Flicker/and SW accounts. One day I realized that I was addicted so I gave all my info to a friend in the UK, and never played again. It went defunct about a year later - maybe 10 years ago? - and I miss it to this day. 13:50 You forgot to mention the fact that the woman was actually pregnant during the trial....You know the trial for neglecting and killing her baby? So she actually did no jail time. I guess that’s the way it goes in Korea if two people are up for the same crime one of them doesn’t get convicted if there’s a baby involved so that one can stay home and take care of the baby 🤦🏼‍♀️

Why are people shocked about this but not shocked about people dying from playing video games too much? Addiction is addiction and despite what happens it pays a toll no matter what

Simply flabbergasted the "lady thing" that starved her pets to death and very nearly the children, got a SUSPENDED SENTENCE??!! This is what a miscarriage of justice looks like people. Too lazy to even throw something into the room for the dogs or turn on a microwave for the kids. I have a small problem with this. Dammm, I hope karmas a thing.

I'm digging your videos but just one suggestion - could you lower the volume of the music?? It's hard to hear you over the music. Thank you

She didn't watch the baby in the bath because she didn't want him to be a mama's boy? What baby can wash themself? Also its better to be a living mama's boy.

i have a suggestion and i havent subbed because of this reason, i dont want to you to cut into your face, no offence but i just like how other youtubers do this kind of content wuthout showing their face and it feels more cozy (even if it is disturbing content). it is just a suggestion tho but it's ok as i am just an individual

I am a casual gamer. When i played dota competitively.I practices for 14-16h a day.But as i grew older i set some rules.I am busy with studies but i will maybe play 1 or 2 hours. Then switch of the games. Also when i feel like i am getting frustrated i switch off the games.I follow these rules. It's so easy to get addicted to stuff(i use to be a drug addict)but there's help but it depends on you if you want help or not.
