Great video thanks - this was easier that thought. Just make sure you have a few different size socket extensions as you may need to adjust getting in and out of the cylinders.
you guys are the best!! just did my spark plugs today and replaced one bad coil pak(engine misfire). Extension to use is the medium size or 7" not the long extension though., Thanks again guys!

wow! this looks super easy thank you 😊 I can do this 💪😀
+Angelica Zapata Thanks for watching. Let us know how your replacement goes! If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the auto repair part shown in this video on our website. Here is a link to them www.1aauto.com/spark-plug-ngk-4363/i/ngetk00011?UA-cam&CTA+Comment&HvIVzeU3U0
I recently paid about $50 for a new coil at O'reilly. I don't know about 1AAuto's prices. Just an FYI for your edification: Make sure you torque your spark plugs in sufficiently! I apparently didn't get the one on the rear of the engine, in the middle position tight enough. About a month ago, I had a mysterious ticking noise. Then a cylinder miss. Turned out the plug had backed out of the threads and was trapped loose in the sleeve of the valve cover. It was still firing, and each time that cylinder fired, it would tick against the side or something. Upshot was, I found it by accident while replacing the EGR valve, which was one of the codes thrown. When I tried to spin the new plug in, I discovered that there were no threads left. They got burnt smooth. I had to completely disassemble the top end of the motor and extract the rear head. Took it to a machine shop, where they helicoiled it. Replaced a bunch of parts (including the toasted coil for that cylinder) while I had it apart, but spend a bundle of money I didn't want to spend. You do not want to do this! Thank goodness for YT how-to vids, or it would have cost me probably $4000 or $5000 to do everything I did.
+Mr Reymundo Thank you for your feedback!
Easier than 2015 T&C thanks for your help
Thanks for sharing. Did mine with the help of this.
Thanks very helpful.
I really wish you had shown how easy it is to change the back plugs. Its shocking you only have to change them every 50k miles though. I run iridium plugs in my Subaru and theyre only good f0r maybe 30k on the stock engine.
Makes me feel better that I’m not the only one having issues with that engine cover bolt in the front right... EVERY TIME!!
Good video tutorial ,thanks.
For an 2003 are they all gapped the same and what number gap should it be
The Torx T-40 was too small for my 2003 Honda Odyssey, but I was able to use a 6mm hex wrench.
Indeed 6mm fits nicely
You have video of oxygen sensor replacement on 2001 Honda Odyssey??
HI, We currently do not have a video that shows this particular repair on your vehicle. They should unscrew from the location that they're in. You may want to use some penetrating oil on them if they're rusty. If they're really stubborn some heat may need to be applied to the area in order to remove them. We carry new ones on our website for your Honda Odyssey. Here's a link to them if you would like to see what we have. Hope this helps you out. www.1aauto.com/1A/oxygen-sensors/Honda/Odyssey/-/-/2001?VideoReply&UA-cam&ATony
Why did you replace the coils?
did they need it?
So the engine cover wasn’t necessary to be removed from top. Looks easy on video, but has some osin when you do it first time
You didn't need to replace the spark plug in this video, but you mentioned a new coil. Is it necessary to replace the coils when the spark plug is replaced?
+Celena Morgan No, you do do not need to replace the coils every time you replacement the plugs. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the auto repair part shown in this video on our website. Thank you for the clarification. I changed the spark plugs, with confidence because I had your video to go by. The van was still idling rough. I did the test of each coil to see if there was a change in idle. All but one caused the engine to idle more roughly. l moved that coil to the front to see if it was the coil. It was, so I replaced it (also with assistance from your videos). The engine now idles normally. I'm not sure about the check engine light still being on. I'm thinking about taking it back to AutoZone to run a diagnostic once again, just to be sure I've remedied the misfires before l look up how to reset the light. I'm curious, I'm trying to repair a Briggs & Stratton tiny push lawnmower. I'm having troubles with the carburetor leaking. Everything looks ok, but it's really difficult to find a video with an engine & carburetor like mine to go through more troubleshooting steps. Do you know of a good site to reference for such a thing?
Isn't this the correct link for the coils? www.1aauto.com/ignition-coil/i/1aeek00207?f=620617&y=2003&EEK&gclid=CjwKCAjw2MTbBRASEiwAdYIpsRiNCps1pLOZ9xhc9ErUERhIYqQ7u-Z_3Evskm-C9VEg9gvmxkrqdRoCXpMQAvD_BwE

No grease for the sparkplugs? And do I need to unhook the battery terminal?
+heroblok6 Thanks for checking us out! You can definitely use some dielectric grease on the plugs to help out the installation and it is always wise to disconnect the battery when working on electrical parts. 1aauto.com
Cambiar las bujías de enfrente no hay problema. Muestra como cambiar las de atrás!!!
Question if they are pre gapped at 0.44 Ngk Iridium Ix is that fine?
+rosalio acosta You should check all of the gaps before installing them in the vehicle. The recommended gap size should be on the engine compartment label. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
How often do the Coils need to be replaced, if at all?
Not a milage or time rated item. When they go bad, they quit working. If they work, don't change it. Only change the bad one as they are expensive in the set.
How would one find out which coil packs to replace if there's an engine misfire? At $45-65 a piece, it doesn't make sense to just replace all of them, right?
+Lauren Woolum The code should tell you which cylinders are misfiring - then you can go from there
Check for continuity with a multimeter
With a Honda just go ahead and replace them all. We have an Accord, 2 Pilots, and an Odyssey. It has been our experience when the one that is shown to need replacement is replaced, shortly after they all begin to fail.
Although I know how to do it I still find myself watching videos lol
That's not bad at all.

I just bought this van and my local Honda dealer wants 150 to do this
+Dave Rodriguez This is certainly a job that you can do yourself. Just be sure you have the time and equipment and follow the video, step by step. Shop rates vary by location. To ensure you're getting a fair price, request estimates from three reputable shops and go with the most reasonable (not necessarily the cheapest). Hahahaha...what about the ones on the OTHER side of the engine hot-shot?
Much easier than most any other transverse mounted minivan. On a 2002 dodge caravan, forget the back 3.
+Brandon Thanks for the feedback!
mechanic wants $800-900 to do this at shop
+Marco Lugo Hope this video has helped you out
