What are the controls like on this? Is there any input lag? I love a bit of Arkanoid but the controls have to be tight or it could render the game unplayable. The Switch can be laggy at the best of times and the developer Microids don’t exactly have a great reputation lol
Hey Q! Yeah Neo Mode is quite colorful. The online battle mode will keep you busy similar to Tetris online. I used to play through the classic Arkanoid on NES back in the day, with the paddle controller that came with the game. Game is definitely more challenging without the fast ship movement from that special controller.
I haven't timed a play-through on Neo Mode, but there's 45 stages to make your way through. Depending how quickly you can beat the stages, there's probably a good couple hours of gameplay at least. (That is averaging 2-3 minutes per stage)

With regards to the 45 levels, that's for the Neo mode. I hope that is the mode you were asking about. Neo is solo only. You also get the original Arkanoid game, which is quite challenging without the special controller that came with the NES version long ago. If you were referring to the Battle Mode, I played through a full round of battle mode in the video. That mode was maybe 10 min long per game.

There's just the 4 games included: Classic, Neo, Versus, and Online Battle.
How do you feel when in battle mode the opponents screen are rotating though the background? am i the only that cannot bare this behavior??
I agree that the shifting can be quite distracting at times.
There could be an option to dimmer the intensity of the screen in the backgroud.
