In all fairness, your experience in getting this to work is about on-par on how it was getting Windows95/98 originally to work on existing hardware. Fun times, fun times...
The author continues his attempt to install Windows on a PSP, this time using a different version of DOSBox specifically designed for running Windows 95 or 98 on the PSP. After several challenges and crashes, the author is finally able to get Windows 95 installed and booted, albeit very slowly. Once in the Windows 95 desktop, the author struggles to open the Start menu and launch Solitaire, the main goal of the experiment. The mouse cursor drifts and the system becomes unresponsive, but the author is able to briefly get Solitaire running before the system crashes again. Overall, the author succeeds in getting a basic Windows 95 installation running on the PSP, but faces significant performance and stability issues.
There are probably a few background processes you could end to get some more speed. Like after you open an app you could close explorer using taskman, if you can open taskman.
This is old news. I had windows 95 running on my psp a decade ago, it would boot and was absolutely useless. But none the less it was always good fun to show it off to friends for a laugh.
