235 grand for a 6 metre boat must be made of gold 😂 I must say first fibreglass aus builder who moulds with a double skin internally like the yanks I give him props to that one . 30 degree dead rise with no chines and only 200 litres of ballast how is that thing stable fuck me 😅
If you have just watched the vid and you still don’t get it then don’t comment. The materials alone are $132k plus overheads, wages and the fact that we just spent $200k making new moulds (12 months in development) which gets factored into the costs as well. We don’t mass produce boats like the others every boat is hand crafted/ CUSTOM built to owners specifications.
@@furycustomboats3376 It’s a great boat not dissing it though I do think it is overpriced just like the rest of the trailer boats these days . inflation I guess can’t argue that fact but a edencraft with twin pods 7 metre is selling for that calibre just a word of thought .
@@jewyhunter_ as the vid explains the boat is top of the range. Base packages start way cheaper plus you have got to compare apples with apples and we are a CUSTOM builder.
I don’t think that people get that a manufacturer is going to load up options on a demo model to show what they can do and to give people a sense of the ceiling price. At least with boats I feel more deceived when they tell you the ‘starting price’ and you quickly realize just to make it useable it needs $50k in ‘options’.
My research suggests, the original hull plug came from Bertram, Miami USA. I'm not sure how or who got the mould to Aussie, Might have been Murtimer(not sure if that is spelt right) and he brought his hull to NZ from Melbourne, He is the dude that registered the Smuggler (6.5) Trade name.
Those strands and hull bottom match the 20’ Bert bottom perfectly, the Reef Runner 23’ from here in Florida is another splash of the same hull. I love to see the new versions and modifications of Ray Hunts original hull from the early 60’s
This rig it’s an absolute weapon and worth every penny!
The attention to detail on every aspect is impeccable
Great video! 30 degree is intense! I bet that thing cuts through some serious swells! Love it!
awesome boat, fitted out perfect and probably an investment , love to see one with twin 175 outboards
Well done - this thing looks absolutely epic.
I have one of the original smugglers fantastic hull I love them
Dream rig for Mooloolaba on the east coast. What a Weapon

Cootacraft Bad boy was my dream boat.....was. This things epic!
30 degree transom and flooded keel? I think we need a 30 foot version of this with twin outboards.
Nice boat pity all the comments about the price well sorry people you want a quality boat expect to pay for it the days of 100k boats is gone❤❤

I own a 2000 6.5 Smuggler with 200hp yam, absolute machine in rough water...

The hull is originally a Raymond Hunt design then modified
Cheers
@@furycustomboats3376 looks killer! I’d love to crawl around one but I’m a hemisphere over
goddamn those first 37sec are fire.... should've kept it going for just a little longer.
The boat is insane. Perfect.
Frist track ID, anyone?
nice boat i keep asking my dad when he finishes his hains hunter v243l that if he would go on this
243l is a good boat, but I reckon this 660 smuggler would give a 243l a run for its money.
Sweeeeeet!
I’d love to see it against the edencraft
Suit everyone? Except anyone who has 235k laying around hahah
Polyester or Vynilester ?
Vinylester, he does say
But is it a moderate v ? 😂
constant 30
still making SMugglers in NZ. For half the price...
I find that hard to believe
prove it.
Yeah just wanted a boat for poor people who use trailers.
Neck minute 200k+ 😂😂😂
Boat is top of the range, packages start way cheaper..
