- The New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4 is a fun, stable long-distance racer. It has one of the softest and most cushioned rides of any super shoe but it lacks a high level propulsion. This is due to its cushioning still being too soft and its gentle forefoot rocker which doesn't give you a big forward tipping sensation. Version 4 has a vastly improved upper which has better heel lockdown and doesn't poke into your ankles. It also has a firmer ride and thicker midsole which makes it feel more efficient.

Nice review. I wish other brands made their racing shoes in a wider fitting option. I worry about having my toes all scrunched in with a carbon plate pushing up underneath them.

Thanks for the info i was planning to buy that kind of running shoe for my new biggener athletes of his school..he said he need more little comfi when the event has arrive as of now he always practice and trained well for prepare to that event even though it happen for next year..
Hi Brandon, when you mentioned true to size, are you referring to UK or US sizing? Cause NB's UK-US sizing differs by 0.5, which is different from most brand

A couple of the ponts you've made about the Elite V4, I've observed in my SC Trainers V2. For me, the V2 does'nt roll off well at tempo pace. The shoe works much better for me at threshold. Grabted, threshold for me is 8:00 mile pace. Other reviewers have said that both the V4 and V2 start singing at paces above tempo. I have struggled a bit with my V2 trainers at tempo pace.

Buona ammortizzazione ma più instabile della V2 e della V3. Il calcagno non è totalmente stabilizzato e il colletto proteggi caviglia è eccessivamente rigido, mi ha infatti causato abrasione e sanguinamento.
Da rivedere tutto il progetto
NB fuel cell is just too soft . Stiffen it up for stability and response , and get rid of some midsole to save weight.
In the review he claims new fuelcell is better but yeah still an issue too heavy and soft a cruiser for super speedy runners. As slower heavier mid 40s runner I am interested. But yeah in my 20s early 30s I was faster and lighter and would have used other shoes I think .
@pbnotj1 same here about being in the 40s club and same sentiments that i cannot run as fast a before ,but i do like to put some burst of speed within a run . I realized that when it gets too soft it feels like something is stopping me (sinking feeling even at slow paces) of course, I will try this on foot , but ive been liking light strike pro mids but adidas uppers are ..........crap.
Totally agree the V3 where absolutely shocking....worst shoes ive ever ran in.
