A week can be a huge milestone! Don't be proud of yourself though, if you become proud, the fall is not far off. Believe me (and believe the Bible also), I've gone through it countless times. If you ever feel comfortable in the battle and feel like you're doing well, sure it's okay to acknowledge it, but be very cautious about those times, because that's when we can be most susceptible. Read 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 (v. 12 speaks to what I'm warning about here). Every day of freedom from this sin is due to the Lord's work in our lives, we need to acknowledge Him and praise Him rather than praising ourselves and being proud of ourselves.
This whole conversation is underrated.
I fell into it recently. I've been there before but this time I fell in deeper than I have in my whole life. Bad stuff. God showed me lastnight that I allowed my mind and thought processes to be corrupted. When telling a family member this week about transcending it, I compared it to having a serious drug addiction. The biggest lie is that "It's a secret sin." and "Well I'm not hurting anybody and nobody has to know about it because I'm viewing while safely in the confines of my own private home." But God sees All and scripture warns us that sin committed in darkness will be brought to the light!

I have dated several guys with a porn addiction. None of them have been able to have successful long term relationships. All but one, involved in church leadership. I do pray for them, but glad I didn’t get caught up with that with them.
One way of overcoming porn is staying away from social media learn to guard your eyes and ears they are soul to the gate.

This is where we are at. Not only is "corn" a problem but censorship, and self censorship, is a problem too. We can't have a serious conversation about this on youtube and many other places too, because reasons. I am calling on all Christians to self examine and not curse, or use unwholesome speech, but if your conscience is clear call things what they are. Call it what it is: pornography.
That's what I was thinking. What's the point of self censoring? Say it how it is. More effective.

Hey max, i'm so so so sorry you are going through this. My little sister had to deal with this as well. Just know that God has so many plans for you, you have to put trust in him and the love ones he will use to guide you through your struggle. Find someone to talk to who will check on you regularly AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO BRING YOUR PROBLEMS TO CHRIST. As a 26 year old in the medical field i came into contact with people with these troubeling thoughts. If you wanna talk i will make time free for you. You are loved, appreciated and worth it.
No matter what you’re going through is nothing compared to committing suicide and spending your enternal life in hell. These thoughts are completely coming from our enemy the devil who is using your struggles to bring you to him away from Jesus Christ. What you have to do is completely the opposite; talk to God and tell him to take all your struggles away and believe in it from your heart and see how he will fix you. Look struggles are part of life, the best thing is to use it to our advantage to get closer to our God and saviour Jesus Christ.
Pray, attend the Eucharist, go to confession and ask the holy spirit to come to you.

I need your prayers. I found Jesus this past year and have grown closer to him. It’s the biggest blessing and the most valuable thing in my life. But i’m still struggling with trauma from my childhood and the wrongdoings of myself in past relationships. I want to love jesus with all of my heart but i still feel so undeserving. God has separated me for this past year and i know his intentions are great, but i still long for retribution in a relationship that has now passed.

Is masturbation in itself a sin when you watch it without corn? Some people say it is lust and some say it’s not. Which one is it in your guy’s eyes? And if it is a sin outside of marriage, what about masturbation inside of marriage?
It's sexual immorality
Everything God created has a purpose. The reason he created us with the ability to ejaculate is not just to be able to reproduce, but also as a way to feel pleasure when having sex. But remember that sex was intended to be reserved for the covenant of marriage. Therefore masturbaiting although you might not be lusting, is a misuse of the functionality of our body and ultimately wrong. Because ejaculation and the satisfaction that comes from it was always intended to be a blessing to us from God through our spouse.
If you have been inclined by the Holy Spirit to ask yourself if masturbation is wrong because you are not sure, it most likely is wrong. Romans 14:23 says "If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning". Personally, I rather not play with the line debating wether if masturbation is wrong or not. I rather use the body God gave me as it was intended to be used.
