Very very Nice, so colorful, I do not think your bragging Dave, you are sharing your collection and Wow it's super duper, I believe You & Shelley are some of the best most humble and Bestest People in the bottle digging world❤😁🙋♀️
Happy belated birthday! Dave. I really enjoy your videos. I'm looking forward to seeing your collection. We started digging at the same time 1971. My dad and I, lost dad 21 years ago on June 25th. The memories live on. Thank you for your videos. God bless you and your family !
First let me say , Happy Birthday 😊 I hope you had a wonderful day. Your kitchen window bottles are so pretty. 🥰 I just love the unique shapes and colors, but especially the cobalt. Fit me it’s not how much it’s worth it’s how much does it make me happy to look at it? I haven’t gone digging ever I guess because my husband is not interested in it and I don’t want to go by myself. I can’t wait to see what else you have!! Lots of hard work, for sure.
Thank you so much! The colors of those hand blown bottles are amazing when you see them in the sunlight. It doesnt seem like I've been digging that long but I guess the years have sure gone by. As I always say, we cant take this stuff with us when we die, so as temporary caretakers of a few old glass bottles and trinkets, I trust that the Lord will use them for His glory somehow. You would be welcome to go digging with Shelley and me...drop us a note at digrdaveb@aol.com😀
Happy Birthday Dave!! I’m 65. 66 in September. You’re just a young guy! Lol. Thank you for showing us some of your favorite bottles. I don’t see this as you showing off, I see it as you’re continuing on with my bottle lessons. Thanks teacher! Lol. Some of these I’ve never even head of. Before watching you, I knew about the Mason Jars. Ball Mason? I may have heard about them. Not sure. Loved hearing about your 1st Bitters bottle. The way it came back to you…. You were meant to have that bottle. So cool. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see the next batch of bottles you show us.
Dave; you, Shelly & Paul are the humblest folks on UA-cam. And you always give the glory to God. So. Thanks for sharing some of your best bottle blessings. We're interested and appreciative! ❤ p.s. big smile on your Ponds Bitters story.
Aww thanks so much Laurel. We just never want to be "show offs", if you know what I mean? Truly, I feel blessed to have been fortunate enough to have been in on some of the best privy digging of the 1970s,80s and 90s. The Lord protected Paul and I through many dangerous nights of digging in downtown St.Louis, Memphis, New Orleans, Cincinnati, etc. I tried to always keep back at least one or two good bottles from every good dig...so stay tuned....God bless you!😀
Hey Debbie...so nice to hear from you! Thanks for watching and for your nice words. I was afraid that the video would not come across in the right way...but you make me feel better about it. Thanks. 🙂
Happy belated birthday. I enjoyed this video a lot. You should do more like this and show some of them rare bottles. Love how much knowledge you have with bottles.
We sure appreciate your nice comments. I just thought I'd try that video as a "test balloon" and see if there was enough interest in doing another one or two. You've encouraged me enough to do another one....so stay tuned...🙂
Thank you Dave for sharing some of your bottles to us. I can only imagine how many holes you've dug. You're hard work sure shows. Really pretty bottles!
Hey Danny...well the Lord bless you brother! Yea, its really hard to believe I'm 63. I just dont FEEL that old (well, ok...sometimes I feel like that old..haha)...it just doesnt seem like it was that long ago when I dug that POND'S BITTERS bottle back in 1971. We all have to live each day to the fullest and enjoy the blessings that God brings into our lives. Thanks Danny...😀
You have a great collection of bottles that you have dug over the years! If you ever get the chance there is a little place/museum in Nauvoo Ill. that we came across a couple years ago. They had some nice bottles on display there! One that grabbed my attention was a pontiled cobalt Keokuk soda and several historicals. One of the historicals was a beautiful eagle flask in light powder blue! I think the place is called the Nauvoo Seventies Hall and it's on the LDS property. Thanks for all the videos!!
Hey there my friend...yes, I had thought about sneaking in up there in Nauvoo behind a couple of those old Mormon houses and digging the privies at night....haha (just kidding) Thanks so much for watching and for your nice comments. 🙂
Great video, Dave! Absolutely LOVE seeing you treasures! More of these type videos would really make my day! MORE PLEASE! Take care, be safe and God bless! (And a very Happy Birthday to you, young man!)
Hey Jim..thanks my friend. I put off doing any videos like this for the longest time, but just decided to finally start sharing some stories and a few of our finds. I may do a couple more if enough people want me to do it??
I'm sure that almost everyone who watches your videos would love seeing your collection and hear stories about your and Shelley's finds....I know I would! Truly love the history behind these everyday items being brought back into the light of day! God has truly been good to you! Have a blessed day!
Thank you so much. Actually I'm still only 62 for a few more days (I turn 63 saturday..haha). Thanks for watching...I may do another similar video since I've got a few more things 🙂laying around...haha
@@diggerdaveshovelinshelleyb8057 Well you actually look younger than 63, so I guess that explains it since you’re birthday is not quite here yet, lol…..
Most excellent Dave thanx so much. Sure wish i would have grown up and could dug in the east. We have some nice and rare bots in the west but much less population and harder to find. I live on the big island hawaii now even more scarce.

Happy Birthday Dave !! It's always nice when others share what is near and dear to them My most treasured bottle is one that my father in law gave many years ago He's no longer with us and his last years where battling dementia but he still loved to look at any new bottle I would buy for my collection Great video !

Very enjoyable, hope to see more of the same. I wish other diggers would be willing to display some of their favorites. I think it helps the hobby to get people excited about what kind of stuff is out there to be found. also the stories of how and where they came into your collection adds greatly to the interest and excitement. It stirs a lot of old memories from my bottle digging days back in Savannah, Ga. I've still got most of my collection. It's just so hard to part with items you know you will probably never own again.
I really enjoyed hearing the bitters bottle story, thats incredible you got it after all these years! Thanks for sharing your collection. I would never think you're bragging. Hopefully you will share more!

Hey Dave, hope you and your family are doing well. Just wanted to say hello sir
The Cobalt Blue Whiskey you show at the beginning was showcased (an identical one) on "Pawn Stars" and Rick bought it for 500.00 .
the metal round thing near the green bottle looks like a pressure cooker weight..
see you at schupps grove show ! 14th 15th july !
This has probably been asked a gazillion times but do any of the bottles fluoresce under black light?
