Digger Dave & Shovelin Shelley Beeler
United States
Приєднався 5 гру 2011
My name is "Digger" Dave Beeler. My wife's name is "Shovelin" Shelley Beeler. My oldest son is "Privy Paul" Beeler. We travel the country digging outhouse privy pits and old bottle dumps for buried treasures and historic relics. Our goal is to bring you along on our digging adventures and share some of the thrill of victory, as well as, the agony of defeat. We are transparent and spontaneous, so we just show it the way it is with nothing staged or planned out. If you like our channel, please feel free to make suggestions and comments so we can learn what YOU enjoy and would like to see more of. Thank you for watching, and we hope to maybe meet some of you on a digging trip soon!
Although we are avid collectors and keep much of what we find ourselves, we do sell many of our finds through our EBAY stores. Mine is called "Digger Dave's Bottles and Treasures" with user name Diggerdaveb....My son Paul's store is called "Paul's Old Bottles and Treasures" under LookwhatIdug. Thank you all

Gulf Coast Digging Adventure With Shelley & Dave
Dave and Shelly l keep looking to no avail. I'm praying for your family and am hoping your disappearance is not due to a tragedy. Be well and keep the faith, you are not alone as you well know.😊
Hi Dave … I have been wanting to go bottle hunting… plz take me …
I just love those older privies and the surprises that turn up in them. I am in Australia and we dig some great pits here too. I collect the goldfields era salad oil/pepper sauce bottles from the 1840's to the early 1900's. I have been digging since the mid sixties. We occasionally dig American bottles over here. I used to own one of those A P Hotaling bourbon bottles with a kangaroo on it.
miss you guys hope everyone is okay

Hi Dave & Shelly, how is your digging on the jug dump? Is it all been excavated or ways to go?

Hey what's up with you all I miss your videos I hope you are back soon
Nice finds, guys! I enjoyed watching. Thank you.
2 women digging and 2 men talking!!
I love those food jars that you find. They make such gorgeous vases. In the spring and summer when flowers from the garden and wildflowers are in abundance, I like to put those up in the windows with little arrangements in them. The sun hits them and they look beautiful. People always comment on how pretty they look. I hope you save and sell them. We really enjoy them. Awesome yellow-shouldered jug! Great finds boys!!
*** PLEASE READ*** A side note, Dave, I noticed you use the colored hummingbird nectar in their feeder. I would highly recommend you switch to plain sugar water. I make my own with sugar and warm water to melt the sugar and fill the feeder once it has cooled off. The store-bought nectar is artificially made with dyes that cause cancerous tumors to develop on the bird's tongue, which is used to extract nectar. When they develop these tumors they are no longer able to consume the nectar and end up starving to death. You can make up nectar ahead of time just keep it refrigerated. I encourage all who feed these beautiful tiny birds to NOT but the nectar and make your own up. It not only saves these wonders God has given us but will save you money as well.
I'm always amazed at how fast yet controlled your digging is, both of you. That takes years of experience to know how much pressure and dexterity to use. I use hand tools for a lot of my digging. I have a 3-prong, long-handled rake I use when I'm undercutting to reach with. I have multiple layers of Flexy Dip on the prongs that get recoated when needed to keep them from scratching the glass. It works wonders and one container of the dip lasts for a long time. I also use a long, 18" vintage tent spike I picked up years ago that is plastic. I use them mainly for crystal digging, but I keep one in my bottle-digging kit, as well. I never get as much as you two do, but I'm much slower than you young bucks, lol. I keep much of the brass and copper "do-dads" I find to repurpose in my woodworking projects and art pieces, as well as the prettier pieces of flow blue dishes and floral patterned ceramics. Just more fun watching you two!!
Oh, Dave! A great video!! It has been ages since I have watched one of your videos and I can't believe that the Jug dump is STILL producing. What a site you invested in! You and Pontil Paul, Shoveling Shelly, and your family always make your videos so much fun and informative to watch. All of those mug-based blob-top sodas in one dig!! Just incredible. And always at least one jug, lol. I will enjoy getting caught up on the videos I have missed. God bless you and your family and may he keep you all safe, healthy, and happy.
Dave, I’ll readily buy your CLEAR 4 cities Casper’s Whiskey should you come across another. Would just about complete my collection!
