Couples Married for 0-65 Years Answer: What's the Secret to a Happy Marriage? | Brides
"we don't need each other, we want each other." this
This indeed (I’m the 1k like!)
I love how many times humor came up. My parents have been together for 25 years and my mom always says “The day your daddy stops making me laugh is the day I’m leaving him.”
aw bless
I tried this, my ex said I'm not in the mood for humour right now.
Well I know I’m not going to find someone I’m not even funny
“Peace out, just bring me back a pizza” SAME GIRL
interesting how the answers became more and more simple as the years increased.
I think it's because in the beginning, they are still at the stage of earning each other's trust and laying down a foundation for their marriage. That's why they need to feel as if they are the priorities, friends, understood, etc. But once that foundation is built, it becomes really about tolerating/compromising and having fun (humor).
YES!!! I noticed that too and it made me feel better and better as it proceeded
“Just bring me back a pizza-“✌🏻 lol
She's 100% my fave
She is my favorite haha
4:26. Where r their wives ?
I can live with that lol
That lady that said make eachother a priority...said it all👆
Agreed
We all love some good pica 😅
That's good advice but when you have children they then become the priority.
@@charlee11127 anddd thats why marriages fail and kids are brought up with single parents.
No. Children do not become the priority. When the relationship fails, the kids suffer the most.
i think the fact that most people had varying answers just means that it really depends on the couple. finding someone with a similar heart and mind is really important in my opinion- someone who shares your values and such. but i do think having a sense of humor is vital, and ideally a similar sense of humor so one of you doesn't end up butthurt or actually hurt.
Or it means that you need a combination of things to make a marriage work, and that’s why a lot of them don’t.
Older couples know what’s really up.
Just bring me back a pizza, lol me.
Hilarious
I like the Asian couple, "always remember you're on the same team" a lot of them mentioned this and the gaycouple, when he said "to not keep score". And the last one "tolerance and humor"
I love the diversity of all the couples
Rammarah Whitener ugh, i bet ur American. Not everything is about diversity and what not. Just focus on the message of the video and enjoy it.
Sosmcs See she didn’t even say anything wrong lol ... she was being positive and admiring diversity
Sosmcs See she did enjoy it wtf
Never thought I'd come across a Karen comment. . .
. . . then again. . .
The older married couples was on point💕 Having great sense of humor and able to accept each other flaws💕
The older couples are literally sitting closer together so cute
wow that's true lol, I guess they just actually become one after all xD
I like how much they emphasized on humor. I'm not married but I really, really want a humourous person who doesn't panick at everything, who doesn't turn every situation into a serious drama. And I kinda thought I was desiring something unimportant and needed to change my desire. This video was encouraging in that sense. :) I do think humor is important, and it's nice to hear so many long time spouces say so as well.
2:03 "Don't take each other for gwanted." So sweet.
Did anyone else look at the asian couple, do the math on their age and then believed in vampires?
it`s all about genes
Got married early or still in their first marriage.
Asian people tend to age very well
@@vivianlite6418 lol i tried but even if they got married at 18 they'd be 40 phew
Phyllis Lam they look about mid 40s or maybe early 50s in Asian age 😂
I make the apple pie 4:14
deema hus 😂😂😂
Ive watched several of these videos and that old man seems like a very miserable person lol. Id hate to be married to that personality
BAM 24 He kinda seems like the guy who has a hard appearance on the outside , but on the inside he’s a lovable man with a nice personality. Kinda like the grandpa on the movie Up yanno ?
He is cracking jokes, chill
their my favorite couple hes just joking around
i’ve decided that the 9 year couple is my favorite one lol
"A completely unique experiences, not like friendship..." I completely agree. I love my wife, but "Love" isn't the right word. I respect my wife, but "Respect" isn't the right word. I am bound to my wife in the sense that we are married, but "Bound" isn't the right word. There is a more... profound wholeness... that fill those words. As you watch these couples, the younger ones have words because they are describing ideas. But the longer they are married the less specific it becomes because there really aren't words to describe that bond.
True. When I try to describe what my husband of 21 years is to me, I'm thinking that he is my father, my child, my best friend, my teacher, my home, my family. I share with him everything. We are like ONE. It is not love in the romantic sense, even though we are very affectionate towards each other. It is a unique bond like none other in life.
I get married Saturday, I needed this. Thank you
The Moon Mapper Congratulations! :)
Thank you! :D
I get married on the 21st! Also a Saturday! Congrats, babe.
mylifeasme thank you!!!! 😀
Yayayayayayyyy! Happy wedding week 😄
I LOVE, that the 57 year couple is STILL holding hands.
I want to know more about his misbehaving.
"Bean salad and apple pie" = best answer
HAHAHAHAHAA "I make the apple pie" Drops the mic! HAHAHAHAHA
I'm totally getting his book.
Old couples are so cute omg
that couple who've been married for 44 years and were talking about how she used the f-word toward him for the first time remind me of me and my boyfriend

My grandparents celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 10th this year. My sister and her husband have been together since she was about fifteen or sixteen years old and she's turning 35 this year. They're both huge inspirations to me for my relationship and being the same age my sister was when she started dating her husband I hope my relationship works as well as theirs has even being so young and I hope I can grow old with my boyfriend like my grandparents have.
aaa
You mean the couple married for 41 years
I’ve only been married 3 months all I do is make my husband laugh. He can’t stay mad at me lol
I love that humor was mentioned quite a lot. I hope whoever I marry can laugh as much as I love to laugh, and that we’re able to find humor in the midst of hardships.
I love to listen from the old married couple's perspective, what are the secrets to have a life time partner. Because they already encounter everything. From sad to happy moments in as a couple.
Humor is a big one! My husband and I have been married 5 years and there is not a day that goes by that we don’t make each other laugh. I love it! 🤗
Aim to always meet each other halfway, but remain open to crossing to your partner’s side - without loosing your own bearings - to remind him/her that they are capable of shifting positively in any direction .
The 9 year couple feel like newlyweds!
They all have common things :-
You listen to your partner while speaking...
That shows respect, love, understand their opinion & their needs.
Positive Communication ( talking & listening) is Core of long lasting relationship
married for 5.5 hours and theyre still dressed in their ceremonial clothes lolol wow amazing
What a beauty 1:57
Its the hair
he's soo handsome
I've been married to myself for 42 years, I love me:) Tolerance and a sense of humor yayyyy
I like the 9 years couple❤️ still so much in love
I been married for 7 years.. its gone way too fast..
I liked the thing about there being a foundation of friendship that really just means you like each other and get on and then humor’s so important because life is difficult but also ridiculous so it’s good to be with someone who gets that.
The only advices that have any merit are the people who are married for decades.
True
“It’s all good, have fun, just bring me back a pizza.” Haha
The crankiness passes 😂
It's hard to believe the couple that has been married 44 years has been married 44 years. They both look great.
"i don't care where you are going, just bring back pizza", love it...
"Just bring me back a pizza" that's me as a wife lol
This made me cry a little
Anyone else binge these in one day? We need updates!
The girl with curly hair......lord, gorgeous.
And the other one with the shorter curly hair is gorgeous too.

AMEN 6 YEARS! Communication & Honesty.
Contentment in your partner.
the moment you see them you feel happiness pure joy and peace. ❤️
The woman from the couple who've been married 33 years, that necklace! :-D wow! Is beautiful!
I'm a R'ship Trainer and i teach about having a weekly, 2-minute (minimum) belly laugh. I watched a brilliant documentary about very unusual animal friendships and one of the most common traits between all these friendships was being playful, having fun and being humourous......i really surprised initially to find that bond in that way with anaimals yet it works with us humans so why not other animals :-) Thanks folks for this video......really enjoyed it :-)
Thank you for producing such a beautiful video that spreads love and hope ❤️
Aww i love the 41-yr married couple’s story
Happily married for 20 plus years & we NEVER take advice from folks who are unable to hold down their own marriage. Keeping other people’s false narratives out of our space is one of the secrets. 🙏
I want the black lesbian couple to be my mums so badly they look like such a good team
Oh gosh this made me smile!! Love it!! Married 6 years here!
Wow this was a creative idea. Nice video!
"Tolerance and Sense of Humor"
So the first couple LITERALLY drove directly from their wedding to do this interview?
there r tears in my eyes
0:48 wow..... that was so wise....
The couple at 1:45, the one married for 9 years....... are they bachata dancers?!! I feel like I have seen them before, dancing with each other all the time!
Aww they look so in love and made for each other 😩😩
“ I make the apple pie “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂 he wanted his credit
"Not taking each other for granted"
The kisses in between are soo adorbs 😭💫😳
that couple that's married for 9 years seems so sweet
Humor and independence. Give each other space to be individuals.
My husband runs away to his mom when things get hard. My husband is a little boy. She saves him from all his troubles... Don't be like my husband. Dont be like his mom...
"I make the apple pie" 😂😂😂 so cute!
"Beansalade and apple pie." I'm gonna write that one down😄
Wow, my Great grandparents are still alive and they have been together for 65 years..amazing
These videos are so wholesome
2:57 I'm dead
Ephesians 5:33 " Nevertheless, each one of you must love his wife as he does himself; on the other hand, the wife should have deep respect for her husband"

Bean salad is the secret to my marriage also
this one is interesting and I as I watch this I got some tips on how married will last.
For some reason, the guy with the glasses reminds me of Uncle Ian from Alvin and the Chipmunks lol
I have the same necklace as the girl at 0:57 Jamaica represent!
I love this and needed to hear these things
Just bring me back a pizza!
2:49 YASS GOALS
Do u see that guys after years of marriage are programmed to just hear their women's Lol
I LOVE THE 9 YEARS COUPLE 😍😭
I watch these vids when I wanna feel happy
I don’t understand why you’re trying to push marriage advice onto us from couples who have been married less than 5 years?
The body language of the guy @3:37.
Also I might be the only one that suspects that the guy @3:55 was talking to his husband. lol
1:59 she's so pretty 😍😍😍
Love really gets you nowhere in real life. It's everything else that holds up a relationship
Why the hell would you ask this question to a couple who've only been married 5 hours?
cloudgirl150 they could of broke up at 4 hours, but they made it far
Can we have a follow-up with these couples?
it's been 3 years
wonder how many of these couples are still together?
Hariette is so gosh darn beautiful my goodness
What's her full name???
