Dang, can't believe you hit me with "leaves from the vine" from avatar the last air bender, straight off the bat. Edit: Now that I have seen the entire video, gotta say this was pretty epic. Also like all the lofi anime and games music you had going, but I also like the other music you have been using as well. Keep up the great videos!
Amazing video. Have done a night at the Mint Hut before myself. Brought back amazing memories of Hatcher Pass. Love Alaska. No place like it. Keep up the great work on the videos. Always enjoy
Wow! Great job again!!! Absolutely love the music and the lack of narration! Can't wait for your version of my favorite hike, Grand Canyon Rim to Rim!!
Great video & congrats for your first solo. It reminds me of the W in Torres Del Paine. Not 'completely' alone and having/making trail buds is definitely +++
Great video. I can appreciate how many times you had to place the camera in random places to get all of those scenic shots. Whew, lots of extra miles. I've yet to hike Bomber Traverse. Perhaps 2022 is the year.
I'm from Palmer Alaska and I just have to say your videos make me happy. I love watching them and I wish I could be doing some of the stuff you do. I don't know how to get in to it like you do but omg I love it! Keep up the great work man! You're hella awesome
This looks like a great hike; I am really loving your drone shots! Was this trip done in July? I am wondering when the best time is to go without having too much snow.
Love the vid! Hoping to do a very similar route this coming summer! I have a question: online I keep running into stuff saying you shouldn't attempt this traverse without glacier crossing experience and gear? Do you feel like that's needed, or could an experienced hiker/backpacker manage this with just some shoe spikies?
Hmm that’s a great question.. I wouldn’t recommend this hike for someone that has zero glacier trekking experience, because technically there’s two glaciers you have to traverse, but they’re extremely mild as far as I’m concerned. I did it with just shoe spikies and would say anyone with some glacier traversing experience would do just fine on this hike with light gear :)
Just did a similar path last weekend. I went upper Reid- bomber hut- snowbird hut- out. So incredible. Also, the duct tape is still on the wall at bombers hut.
Awesome video man! Couple questions tho: I know you have to be a member to stay at these cabins, what’s that entail exactly? And is it first come first serve as far as the cabins go or can you reserve them if you’re a member? I’m assuming if you show up and it’s full you just throw up your tent? Sweet trip tho man!
You do not have to be a member to stay at the nuts. It is part of MCA's filing that they are open to the public, and anybody who tells you otherwise is trying to be elitist.
Hi! What a beautiful trail and great footage/editing! I didn't know there were free huts like this on this route. I hiked up to upper reed lakes last year. What's the story behind the huts?
Yea so the turquoise ones my great grandma made and the big on my index finger was the one he wore. The copper on my middle finger was made by a good friend of mine and the other one on my index finger I made. So they all have sentimental value to me :)
Your videos are so amazing! I left Alaska for grad school and miss it every day. Your videos are a great escape back. Do you have a Patreon or some way we can support your channel? I don’t have much, but I like to support great work when I can.
wow thank you! I appreciate the support! I don't have a patreon, but have been thinking about making one. My main hesitation to make one is that most people offer rewards for supporters and I have no idea what I could offer at this time. though i also know now youtube has a way you can allow people directly donate/ join so maybe I'll turn that on sometime
Now more than ever let's appreciate all the times you had to come and pick up the camera after the shot 😂
haha thanks!
Couldn't agree more lol
Those good calves didn’t just come from hiking they came from coming back from the camera 8,0000 times!! But amazzzing captures!

ahhh glad to see you're a man of culture as well!
The composition of your shots and the editing of this one are on point!
Lived in AK for about 2 years. Been to the Mint Hut. First one in video. Best video Ive seen in/about AK. Transcendent.
Been up to the Snowbird Glacier, but not on it. Great trip. Superb film.
Another awesome video. I love your drone footage. Those huts are pretty neat.
The moment when you found the trail again is just golden. 😂
Amazing video. Have done a night at the Mint Hut before myself. Brought back amazing memories of Hatcher Pass. Love Alaska. No place like it. Keep up the great work on the videos. Always enjoy

Always love to see your videos, great as ever!
Nicely done! Very Kraig Adams-y like you said at the end of the video haha
More stellar views, another sweet vid, keep'em coming.

I keep coming back to watch this one, this is a good one.

Probably my favorite video from you so far :) I’ll totally have to hike this when I’m back in Alaska
Beautiful work as always!
Pami Murphy from Ryan middle school?? I think of you often! I’ve done two of these huts. I recommend!
Great video, Yogoman!! May do this hike in July, your video helpful with the planning. Thanks!!
Wow, those drone shots of the mint were crazy.
Absolutely gorgeous ! And the huts!! I pick the red one for the rest of my life❤️
Definitely the most beautiful video I've ever watched and my new favorite. You've earned a sub man
I'm from Palmer Alaska and I just have to say your videos make me happy. I love watching them and I wish I could be doing some of the stuff you do. I don't know how to get in to it like you do but omg I love it! Keep up the great work man! You're hella awesome
Everybody wants to go to the sea, I want to go to Alaska...

This vid doesn't get enough credit, the shots you got were so awesome! Me and my friends are hitting this in a month, appreciate the preview :)
Never got back with an update. This vid encapsulates the trail so well. What an experience this was!
Hat down, great... 👍 ✌️

Hell ya bro-awesome video
Great job!
Just did a similar path last weekend. I went upper Reid- bomber hut- snowbird hut- out. So incredible. Also, the duct tape is still on the wall at bombers hut.
Reed
heck yeah man this is rad! How many drone batteries did you take with you or do you have a way of charging them?
Thanks man. Just had 2 batteries. Used them both down to nearly 0% haha
Its funny that you post this video now as I am planning on doing a solo trek up Bomber this coming week
Nice! Hope your trip goes well!
What month did you do this trail?
nice work mate :):))
Amazing video! I want to do this traverse, but was nervous on the glacier part. How did you navigate the glacier? To make sure it was safe going down?
Amazing place Alaska
I can't wait to go to Alaska!
Awesome video. You were in my backyard. And Mary Jane even went 😏
What time of the year did you do it?
I'm planning to do this next year so I need to plan!
So DAMN beautiful!!

I was listening to that avatar soundtrack the other day. Good shit
I camped right where your thumbnail is with my daughter. She was too afraid to trek up the huge rocks though. We started at reed lakes.
Hi! What a beautiful trail and great footage/editing! I didn't know there were free huts like this on this route. I hiked up to upper reed lakes last year. What's the story behind the huts?
Can you explain the significance of your rings? I have noticed them in several videos but I don't remember you ever talking about them.
Yea so the turquoise ones my great grandma made and the big on my index finger was the one he wore. The copper on my middle finger was made by a good friend of mine and the other one on my index finger I made. So they all have sentimental value to me :)
So happy I live in Alaska. 1hr away from Hatchers pass
Please, no S in Hatcher Pass.
Great effort

what trails did you use to get from mint hut to bomber to snowbird.
SOOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOO Beautiful
Hey guys, I have a question, does any Yogoman's fan prefer sea over Hills? I guess not :D
Man do i miss alaska and hiking. Try crow creek pass even though its nothing like what you did here
Try running the Crow Pass crossing.
would do anything to live in a place like that.
What month was this?
How were the mosquitoes?
nice
Bro, no bomber itself?? Killing me, man! Great video otherwise.
The song... Is that leaves from the vine?!? 😭
Are you still going to UAF?
Yes I am!

What month did you do this hike?
