Metallicas last two albums are.really good and are a return to their thrash sound of their first 4 albums. I am in Daytona Beach as we speak and seeing them tomorrow close the Welcome to Rockville festival- can’t wait to see The Warning and Metallica! Thanks for giving them a second chance. For a treat check out Metallica’s Atlas Rise from this album and then The Warning’s cover of this song from the Whisky a Go Go! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
It's a bit short in lyrics, but the jam session on that breakdown after 2nd chorus.... That was the best use of Wah pedal Kirk ever did... It sounds so haunting....
Yep. And load and reload seem to get most of the hate. I'll never understand how people don't like songs like hero of the day, outlaw torn, until it sleeps, bleeding me, fixxer, low mans lyric, etc.
Seriously hardwired album to me is comparable to master of puppets. And I saw them on the hardwired tour in 2018! They still kick ass live too! Metallica does what Metallica wants to do. They are on the closer side to 60 now! Love it- ive told my boys several times that I’m going to be that old person in a wheelchair in a home with my headphones on head banging to Metallica!
Yeah Im old school as well, but I bought this album to give it a try and was blown away. This isn't the only killer song on it either, listen to the whole thing.
Father there knows it! Recognized it for the masterpiece it is. Totally agree, my favorite Metallica song is Damage Inc., and I rate this in the top 5. They recently played this live. I'll try to find it for you. Most recent one on UA-cam is from 2022: ua-cam.com/video/VIm8PxuEK9w/v-deo.htmlsi=q9k3zvZ71HsGb5A- But Im 80% sure they played it also this year.
Metallica still makes the corny song now and then... but man, when they put their heart into a song, damm, no one can touch them. This song is an absolute banger.
Try out hardwired and atlas rise for sure! I was amazed when I started the album and then I got to this song which is the last on a two disc album. What a way to end it.
I think of this song as Metallica’s span during the 80’s. It’s starts like Kill Em’ All and continues as Ride The Lightning, is about addiction and control (Master of Puppets), has a distorted bass solo (Cliff Burton), and is a bit overdone (…And Justice For All)
Old head says he’s a fan of old stuff but has no idea when Justice was released. Says after Justice they sucked but said this was early 90s Metallica, the time that he says he hated them
Father needs to react to all the songs of this album. But react to the videos to all the songs because they literally released a video to every song on the album!!!! What a marketing ploy!! Please just do it!!!
A lot of people think this is the best and heaviest song on the album. Makes me laugh. This song is weak and average compared to lots of others songs on the album. Here Comes Revenge is a zillion% heavier, darker and better then this.
50?? These guys are all pushing 60! And still absolutely killing it

All Nightmare Long is a lot like this where it's a combination of a lot of the eras.
It's a bit short in lyrics, but the jam session on that breakdown after 2nd chorus.... That was the best use of Wah pedal Kirk ever did... It sounds so haunting....
The Video choreographs so well with the music
Agreed
Metallica fan since 1985 here - and I’m here to tell you that this entire album is kick ass!
dude, black album, load, reload, st anger, death magnetic and hardwired are all great albums
Yep. And load and reload seem to get most of the hate. I'll never understand how people don't like songs like hero of the day, outlaw torn, until it sleeps, bleeding me, fixxer, low mans lyric, etc.
@@MH-bw9zt because sone people have a very narrow mind amd can only handle one very specific style of music
I only listen to one or two songs from load and reload but you must give death magnetic and hardwired albums a chance! Especially hardwired!
I think I wept when I heard this song. Your dad knows what I mean. Lol
Great reaction! More tallica please lads
Back to the good old sound❤
Metallica has gone back to some of their roots. Death Magnetic and Hardwired to Self Destruct are amazing and can't wait to see their new one soon
Metallica are the kings of transitions!!!!
That song took many fans in surprise, killer song!!! Another good one from that album is “Atlas Rise”!!!
My missus hates metal but when she heard this song she loved it. 🤘🤘
Atlas rise is my fav from this album. Well worth a listen.
That one is about Lars apparently
Another song from this album that I think you'll love is Lords of Summer.
Love that one. Makes me think of the Mongols

Hard agree, this track in particular I would put up there with Master of Puppets
Yeah Im old school as well, but I bought this album to give it a try and was blown away. This isn't the only killer song on it either, listen to the whole thing.
I saw this played live in slane Castle in 2019, amazing, maybe do atlas rise from the same album
I believe they meant it to be about society relying too much on technology and being obsessed with our phones and everything else.
Father there knows it! Recognized it for the masterpiece it is.

Metallica being weird and terrifying since 1981😂 😂😂 I love them to pieces
Best father ever ❤
Metallica got better as they got older ... not worse

Wonder if your dad likes "Dream no more" or "Atlas Rise" from this album? both are very good songs although not as thrashy as this.
Haven’t heard anything from this album
You should do all nightmare long another thrashy recent Metallica song
Old head says he’s a fan of old stuff but has no idea when Justice was released. Says after Justice they sucked but said this was early 90s Metallica, the time that he says he hated them
Love your videos :) have you heard of the band Any Given Day? They are from Germany and they are awesome 😁 they made rihanna cover 🤗
Think of the video in a terminator movie aspect
Father needs to react to all the songs of this album. But react to the videos to all the songs because they literally released a video to every song on the album!!!! What a marketing ploy!! Please just do it!!!
tell him to listen to death magnetic
Should have reacted to the lyric video, the video takes away from listening to the music. It's distracting.
Every album is good except for st anger
I think if the songs were shorter it definitely would have been better, but still not great
@@Kcgrade095 also if the clank from the snare wouldn't be so prominent. I like metallic sounding drums but not when they ring out louder than guitars
Back when he couldn't sing and blew out his voice
He blew his voice out on the black album which technically is when he started his singing mode.
A lot of people think this is the best and heaviest song on the album. Makes me laugh. This song is weak and average compared to lots of others songs on the album. Here Comes Revenge is a zillion% heavier, darker and better then this.
This song isn't weak at all.
This guy stuck in 1989 with the and justice for all album ..Jesus dude , evolve a little bit
After that all garbage
It's not Motörhead but... It's not that bad.
It's too fucking mastered thought, no twang, no feeling, it's like listening to Beyonce.
