today we are going to horton plains in sri lanka
One of the most beautiful World Heritage Sites in the world is definitely the Horton Plains National Park in Sri Lanka.
The park is spread over the two highest mountains in the area called Kirigalpotta and Totapola
Horton Plains is a popular tourist destination, with World's End being the key attraction
From nuwara eliya to horton plains, journey will take around two hours
ticket price will be around 500 rupees for a local person
The best time to visit the park is the start of the year, especially from January to March
plastics/polythene is not allowed in here
World's End is a sheer precipice with a 2,854 ft drop
reach the World’s End by nine in the morning to ensure a good view
A tributary of the river Belihuloya leads to these beautiful falls in the middle of the Horton Plains National Park.
About 20 metres high, this frothy, misty collection of water makes for good pictures. The place is surrounded with plenty of flora crowding the basin
The waterfall can be reached by walking on one of the main trails; the trail is a bit steep at the end but the difficulty level is medium to easy
It would take 3-4 hours to cover the entire loop
