i think you can be a bit more lenient with the size of mealworms because they are so skinny, buddy is currently living without issue now so yeah!
yes for easy digestion and to prevent impaction. but mine tends to hunt the biggest dubias and he's only 2 months old, so far he poops well as long as you hydrate them by soaking or feeding veggies at morning specially if you see him not pooping.
