Wait! Before you comment about how I’m abusing my animal, read this! Bandit was very much spoiled and loved while she was alive. She passed away in October of 2018 due to superworm related complications. This was the only time she EVER hissed at me. I posted this video because maybe some people didn’t know that bearded dragons hiss, not because I find joy in her stress. Just because I posted ONE video of her hissing does not mean I abused her through her whole life. On another note, my current bearded dragon Buddy is over a year and a half old and extremely healthy, and he is a very happy and spoiled man. I am extremely educated on the care of bearded dragons after having to learn by myself through extremely stressful trial and error. If you have any questions on your bearded dragon please feel free to ask and I can try my best to answer or direct you to an answer! Bitzy
♧♤Sssundee♤♧ there’s a couple things that could be happening here; 1) she doesn’t understand that the salad is food 2) she is picky, like you said i would try a couple different things here: you could try getting her hungry enough that she will give in and eat it. sometimes bearded dragons will refuse something like salad because they know if they wait long enough they will get bugs eventually. obviously i don’t mean to starve her though- maybe just give her only salad and if she doesn’t eat it then don’t feed her on that day, then the next day offer her the salad again! if she doesn’t eat it on day 2 then definitely give her bugs, little ones need to eat very frequently! another option is to try different kinds of leafy greens- lettuce isn’t recommended for beardies because it’s mostly water. you could try kale and collard greens if you’d like, they have a stronger smell and your beardie might be more likely to eat it because of the smell. i hope this helps! let me know if you have any other questions :)

sorry for the late reply, i was told the super worms ate through the inside of her body. people in my replies said that’s not possible, but if she wasn’t strong enough to crush them, which was probably true since i was an under-educated beardie owner, they can survive long enough to bite and chew on the inside of them. i don’t feed live superworms to my current bearded dragon buddy, only dead ones. he is able to cut through them with his teeth but i just have a superstition about them now. you can’t go wrong by cutting the heads off the live superworms! that’s the advice i got from one of the (locally owned) pet store employees. that way there’s no possibility of anything happening
@@Bitzy oh my. That’s so sad. Now I’m even more glad we feed our guy freeze dried crickets, Repashy and veggies because he has all kinds of eating/stomach issues

It’s funny when bearded dragons hiss because it’s like it just needs an inhaler
It's like gently squeezing a rubber duck.
He sooo cute!!

I assumed they made a noise, but mine has never said a word 😂 He just lays down near a threat and says 'make it swift'

Yes, this is cute. But if you constantly put your beardie to this state they will develop health problems due to stress. The more you know

Sharp teeth!
Maybe his nose holes are clogged. I'm still trying to clean my dragons out it's not easy.. edit didn't read the post first. I've never heard it b4

Putting your finger and a camera in his face, while he's already upset 8s not the best choice. He's trying to tell you to stop by backing up.
