@@A_Saucerful_of_Secrets Whilst Pete was no slouch, one could argue that Nigel’s chops were superior. However, I also agree that Pete was a better fit.
@@kees666 I agree. He was no slouch at all. And I kinda would've like to see Gill in Saxon during the early 90s when they were making Solid Ball, Forever Free, and Dogs of War.
This was a time when Saxon was more popular than Maiden and Leppard together!

So many thanks for sharing this Elena........you ve made my day !
SAXON PURE METAL....ARGHHHHH.....BANGER YOUR HEADS .....🍺🍺🤘🤘
Pete Gill’s on fine form here. It’s a pity there’s so little video footage from his time in the band.
Although I think Glockler is a much better drummer, I think that Gill was a much better fit for Saxon. Sometimes more talented isn’t always better.

Best band in land.
Plus biff was never the same after he stopped wearing the spandex strides
Before Pete Gill broke his hand and and was replaced by Nigel gloker never the same energy after that
NWOBHM \m/
Loved these guys up to 83, crusader in 84 was such a turd and they just lost their magic after it
original Spinal Tap but a way more stupid and loose.
Not nigels fault he’s a great drummer but moments in time alter things
