Ingredients:
3 pounds chicken legs and/or thighs, rinsed and patted dry
1 medium size green papaya, peeled, seeded, and cut into wedges
1 bunch fresh pepper leaves (malunggay or spinach leaves are a good substitute)
2-3 tbsp vegetable/canola oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (2-inch) piece ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
3 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tsp chicken powder or 1/2 chicken cubes
1 teaspoon ground turmeric (Luyang dilaw)
4 cups water Salt and ground black pepper to taste
