Wow, this worked really well even on my really damaged iron tip. Took around 30 minutes and constant tinning and proved to be really effective.
    Thanks for sharing this!

Damn!! It is working very well!! I droped some citric Acid, and add a big ball of solder tin!! At my surprise it is working very well! I tried it with old Copper type of Soldering tip, not new tip that are heated with ceramic heating element and it is working as a charm!! It is best to do it after cleaning the tip as much as possible from black burned product and it gives better result!! Thx much 😉
Now just need to find a small metal box and make some to store it properly 😁

First dip the bit in citric acid and then use a sponge or brass wool to clean the tip...apply some solder on tip...and scrape it off by using brass wool and again dip it in acid...repeat it multiple times and the tip will eventually become shiny...i tried it and it did worked like a charm

what are the first 2 words? "Citric Acid" there are other videos on YT using citric acid. I guess you think because it says "cleaner" it's not citric acid? The cleaner just isn't marketed for food consumption. People use it to clean their coffee makers, which is why it's called "cleaner" Bottom line is it is citric acid, you can use either type, it's basically the exact same thing. @@AdamTheBot
