Of course the "Americas, heck yea!" expansion starts off with a hurricane.

I can't believe Wuk Lamat pre-played the 1st half of the expansion. I love the call back to the 1.0 Limsa opening and to our Leviathan fight. I realized that this time we're the last ones to wake up instead of one of the 1st to wake up.
Good, now that I've finally moved into a fair bit of Dawntrail, I can watch your vids again.

One thing from a just narrative perspective or story, is that I find it interesting that one of the very first scenes we get is the warrior of light activating a device on a ship that will protect them against the lightning, but then later in the game we have to face off against a civilization based on I guess lightning ether, and we don't utilize the technology that we already know we have that protects us against lightning against our enemies that use literal lightning as a weapon. All you would have had to do was quickly popping some of those lightning protection devices that are on clearly Maelstrom ships. I just think that was a missed opportunity from a narrative or story be perspective.
I don't think we had any corrupted crystals on hand. Crystals that are stated more than once to be very volatile. Which isn't something you'd want to have knowing they would be targets. I'm not sure at least on the train that they were using lighting aspected bullets. As I want to say we only knew the dome was of a high concentration of lighting.
Truh, though as you will remember creating that very first barrier by using opposingly charged crystals was a hassle. I can imagine pulling the same thing off with that magnitude wiuld be beyond our then current means. - At least thats my head cannon until further msq updates...
Though their world was ravaged by thunder their actual attacks aren’t lightning-aspected. At all. The point of electrope is that I can re-aspect lightning energy into whatever other energy is needed. They never straight up shot lightning energy at anything that would have been protected by a shield and all their other attacks had been respecced
@@tazersmurf4689Yeah their attacks were not lightning based. Electrope plus Lala ingenuity changed lightning energy into whatever other aspect they need. The only reason lightning is the energy they transform into other things is because that’s what they had in large supply but most of it is transformed for other uses.
You forgot the metric ton of aether crystals needed to power these kinds of devices that you'd have to get from somewhere - and as in some of the crafting quests is revealed, such crystals are a complete rarity in Tural due to there being no leftovers from Seventh Umbral Calamity everywhere. An Eorzean trader swindles a local crafter into buying useless tainted crystals because they don't know the difference between usable and unusable crystals.
