You should do a video where you do one side with your normal tool and one side with this tool lol and compare the time it takes the frizz levels and how much hair it takes out from each side.

What I love about you is that you start off with your hair how it realistically looks when it’s not styled and needs detangling. We all get these days when our hair is just looking a mess but some natural youtubers don’t show it. Another amazing video also, definitely going to try it out thank you!

Back combing is like the opposite of detangling. Back combing is teasing. But I live for how you switched it up lol 😂

Man, as someone with wavy hair I would KILL for that level of definition. Urgh you're gorgeous.
Back combing is a technique where your comb your roots backwards to create volume/fullness. Any person can do it technically but I wouldnt recommend it for people with curls like Amber's. It's more for looser curls to straight hair.
Ion makes a comb/brush pretty similar to that. I bought mine at Sally beauty for under $5. I like to use it during my conditioning/deep conditioning process. It definately defines my curls and doesnt pull or snag on mg 4c curls. Thanks for this video!! This is a grwat alternative to the denman brush...it low-key reminds me of the 3 row comb everyone was so hyped about a few months back😌
someone probably already said this but backcombing is when you take one strand of hair and comb underneath it. But towards your scalp to tangle it on purpose. people with straight hair often do this to give the hair more volume at the scalp
I love the no make up look. I am so tired of people obsessing over layering their face. Simplicity is the true beauty. You just earned a fan. You love your natural curls, your so lively and genuine and of course the no make up style. its like your a youtuber just for me. :)

This looks great. FYI for those that have already purchased a Denman, it’s very easy to remove some of the rows - I take every other row out to better define my 3b curls.
I heard an accent, and I was like this sounds like maybe a dutch or flammish accent (maybe I'm totally wrong, I'm francophone) but I was like let me check her channel description. It said you live in Brussels, and I was like guuuurl ME TOO! Haha

I bought mine based in your video. This comb is life! I already had the Wet Detangler, but as I have fine low density hair I ended up with 4 clumps🤣 when I tried to style with it. This comb gives me defined curls without the clumping the Wet Detangler gave me.

That's a heck of a mix!
Back combing is teasing. Like when you grab a section of hair and comb up toward the scalp instead of away. It gives people with thin or fine hair volume around the crown area. Or it can be used on other parts of the hair to add texture & size to a bun or braid.

I like my denam brush. If I feel that there are too many bristles I just remove them. You can always do that and put them back easily.
Im just amazed as full as your is that you dont lose any when you comb it.mine is totaly diferently texured and i lose hair when i comb.i want one of these for myself and my daughter

Btw tangle teezer sell one of their normal brushes with much longer bristles for thick/curly hair. Hope this helps😁

I just received mine in the mail. Took awhile but next wash day it’s on!!! It was only $2.15 with free shipping from EBay. Ordered April 3rd. Received April 29th.
Not sure if that's what this brush is for, but generally backcombing in English means literally combing the hair backwards towards the scalp, as in "teasing" hair, which might be why it says it's for creating volume! Looks like it's a great curl definer, too!
I’ve been intrigued by the chart categorizing curl size- what is your natural curl, it doesn’t look quite like 4c, or is it? You have longest, healthiest, and beautiful hair I’ve ever seen with a lot of curl. I think my hair is 3a, since I’m of “ a certain age” my hair has turned from all my life being about a 2a. What a huge difference that makes in styling. Thank you for your wonderful videos, very informative.

I was thinking of buying it but when you said it hurt more than the original tangle teezer I was like "nah", especially for my 4c hair. But actually, seeing your hair after its dried and your idea of using the comb after detangling with the teezer...I may give this a go!
I bought the tangle teaser for my daughter's hair, who has long hair like yours. It didn't work on her hair, but maybe this updated version of the teaser comb will work because the comb ends are longer. Your hair is beautiful.

Backcombing is another word for teasing. When people try to add volume they will backcomb at the root for example, basically it's the action of combing in the opposite direction. That comb is more so designed for teasing limp hair to add volume. But hey, looks like you just found another use for that comb, yay!
It's like the AMELIA 7in styler brush I use which works great to define curls into locks of ringlets because of the shape of the bristles and the placement of them.

Back combing is teasing the roots of your hair for volume. Try the wet brush from Tangleteezer in the shower you will love it.
