  • Phillipe is interested in how architecture can provide a glimpse into how people live all around the world. He travels to some of the most unique spots and culture on the planet to see what they have to offer. Starting off in Kandovan, a village in northwestern Iran, people here live in cones of rock created from thousand-year-old volcanic eruptions that are now carved out in what is called a troglodyte dwelling, some of the oldest dwellings in the world. He then moves onto northern Iran, Masuleh, an area of lush landscape, unlike the desert climate most of the country offers. In this small village, the roofs are all interconnected to form pedestrian areas. Through the rest of his journey he heads to Tiébélé in Burkina Faso to see the Royal Court of the Kassena people, Northern Togo’s Koufitigou region to discover the unique houses called takientas, a fortress-like home made of earthen materials and three regions in India to see the unique architecture that they call home.

With the current worldwide housing crisis, perhaps its time to just find a secluded rock face and start digging.

good luck! All the land belongs to the government or to private land owners. They would have to sell it and it would not be cheap! Then you would need permits and have to check the zoning laws. We really know how to mess everything up!

Precisely. It would be very nice to see how Europeans live in their own culture and village.
Do Europeans live and come from develope countries and areas with sky scrapers?
Why is it that they are alway exploring other people way of life but never their own.
Why is it so important to show other people cultures and not your own? Don't you think that the world would love to see you outside sensationalism?

I don't why the western world keep demonizing the country of Iran. They are such peaceful people. I hope the country of Iran does not get too westernized. Because the people that make up the nation of Iran are the soul winners and set an amazing example to the world. A wonderful journey throughout the country of Iran. Thank you for taking us throughout Iran with a better understanding and appreciate the humble architecture, it's village people and culture. Nice.
In north-east Botswana, similar solidarity or collaborative culture exists, called 'mbizi' in the Kalanga language. This collaboration is applied across many projects - clearing farmland, building houses, ploughing, weeding, building kraals, doing certain time consuming tasks in the household and community at large, harvesting, collecting various items like thatch grass etc.
The symbols are a way of capturing and transmitting information in the community at large.

Not everyone believes they are sons of god, majority do not. Nice comment but it's nice if it connects to your faith. Everyone are sons and daughters of Adam and eve.
There are two bigoted sons in the bible not just one and lots of sons. There are three types of sons
Literal son biological which doesn't make sense and more than one in bible so why is one the focus?
Jesus bigoted son! Again there are at least two I believe the other is David in the book. Yes only has a mother not father = emasculate conception, but Adam was created IN HEAVEN and has no mother or father! Why isn't he worshiped instead of Jesus.
The other is adopted son which isn't the case.
The last is familiarity son, like a priest calling a child son or daughter to show closeness and care !

This is a very interesting and unique place on earth 🌎🌍 that mother nature has given us. Some times people move in those remote areas because of war. Human beings like to destroy each other 😭💔🙏
