Hopkins was literally just on the Rogan podcast giving his career retrospective, and now this to compliment it
Rogan knows he would beat those mma bums
@@davidradovsky5354ya in a boxing fight lol
@@AyAngelchillfoo1315you'd be suprised the amount of boxers that would succeed in MMA if that's where their paths would have led, and it goes the same for MMA fighters if they had become boxers instead. Someone who has that level of determination in their soul can master anything

You know hes a great when youre 15 minutes into a 42 minute video and he's 36 and just knocked out Trinidad. Soo much to unpack
I would watch a Joseph Vincent video on the treadmill for an hour. This guy has effected my development as an adult. I officially had my first amateur fight at 28 and won by unanimous decision after I rocked him twice with two eight counts. Thank you Joseph Vincent. I would love to have a conversation with you at some point.

The fact that he's called old and fading 13 min into a 40+ min video but still prime shows his greatness and longevity

This has got to be the best comment here. 🥇🏆🎓
He didn't reign 10 years as undisputed middleweight champion, he only reigned 4 years as undisputed champion. He won it in 01 beating Trinidad and lost it in 05 to Taylor
@@erikmendez8798 That is correct on the paper. But I choose to take into the account that before that Hopkins proved to be THE best mniddleweight champion and that the other champions ran from him to unify. Hopkins was like few men so obsessed with becoming the undisputed and had motivations far larger then the other title belt holders from WBC, WBA and even WBO included.
Not until that Middleweight tournament arranged by Don King and HBO, BUT Hopkins was forced to sign contract with King for a while in order to get that and by then many believed he was old and ready to be taken....and they would all be wrong. happend he got his chanse
@@ibnsabeel9466 Thank You! Hopkins was my man for many years and he earned his recognition through hard work and being a true master of the art.
@@WarioSaysSo If the phrase; “It’s greater later!” was a person it would be Bernard Hopkins.

It's kinda hard not to say that he is one of the greatest boxers of all time.
aye-bit of an asshole but knows the game inside out-impressed with his fights even if not always entertained lol Loved it when he schooled cloud after everyone wrote him off
It’s his tactics for the reason why many don’t consider it. Like him quitting in fights when he was getting beat up by faking hurt or falling out the ring etc. Things like that tarnish a fighter.
Easily
He is 100%
@@benjisnowman2065bros from Philly what’d you expect for him to be a well mannered frat boy dude
I did not know a 39 year old Hopkins finished a 31 year old Oscar. Crazy.
He outboxed Oscar up until the knock out tho lol.
Oscar came up from 6 weight classes. It was no surprise to me.
Remember watching that fight live with my dad on PPV. The good ol days

Love these documentaries. I've seen all of them. I'm hoping to see one for Earnie Shavers soon.
Yes love hard punching Shavers!!
His “amateur career” was more brutal than ANY Golden Gloves or Olympic Trials could ever provide! The stakes were much higher!
Not really
@@vince11harris I was unaware of these venues and amateur boxing endeavors that were as traumatic or permanent as the penitentiary system?! The B-hop’s career was truly inspirational! Never quit! And believe in yourself!
The pride of North Philadelphia; I have stomped on his grounds because I had some friends who lived where he lived, but I never saw him; Bernard Hopkins raised the level of boxing in Philadelphia....
Hopkins don’t get no where near enough credit for he’s career! One of a kind and fought everyone
He's considered one of the 50 greatest boxers ever via ESPN, and was inducted into the hall of fame just last year. I think that's plenty of credit in my book
The GOAT is back with another spectacular documentary 🎉
I was at the Hopkins/Taylor fight (1) and I can assure you Hopkins got severely robbed. The crowd was livid.
Imagine having all of these masterclass documentaries as a Blu-ray collection at home..
One of the best fighters to ever live. He fought against odds and against life and he won it all.
An amazing champion. An even more impressive Hall of Famer
He is the Lebron of boxing truly in the sense of consistency
Goosebumps. Legendary. Immortal.
The first fighter I look for in any boxing game.
B-Hop & Joe Vincent
2 legends
I consider myself lucky to have watched so many greats in what could be considered boxing's golden era between 80s and 90s. Bernard Hopkins was without a doubt one of the best to ever do it and an example of what a determined and disciplined man can accomplish with hard work and dedication.
One of the best inside fighters of all time. They way he can generate power from short distance is legendary
These Documentaries you Do are Top notch Boss. I appreciate the fact that you showed the robberies he had with the Taylor fights and the first Pascal fight but you also showed how he bounced back with getting Straps at 48 years of age.
Perfect timing. Just started looking into his career today after hearing him on JRE. Figured you'd have one
Excellent boxing technique, discipline, god-given athleticism, ruthless aggression, bad intentions, a razor-sharp mind, and an unbeatable spirit is a helluva combination. Bernard had all these. Truly a remarkable fighter who doesnt get talked about enough.
Criminally underrated (No Pun Intended)
LEGEND Bernard Hopkins ❤
I feel like at this point, we should be paying for these films! These should be shown as a mandatory part of a schools curriculum for sports history. Fantastic job Mr. Vincent!
Please don’t say that 😂

Hes my favorite fighter the man is a legit a legend. He took all his pain and struggles and instead of playing the victim card. Instead of taking easy way out He grinded until he became a success and a champion ppl should look at his story and realize with effort and determination comes success.
