The precision is what gets me. He's absolutely unloading on the these right hands, stepping in, following through, but they are picked and chosen, landed clean. It's hard to get a read on how strong he really was, because he strikes *so well* that whatever muscle he has is being perfectly magnified by his mechanics. Tremendous fighter, perpetually underrated.
Also, I'd never noticed him starting all these fights walking forward with his hands down - scary shit. Perfect disdain.

He wasn't abusive, emotional, or overly flamboyant. If you like his personality and demeanor, Joe Lewis, rocky Marciano and Manny Pacquiao carry themselves the same. If you enjoy his style (post kronk gym) any and all kronk fighters have that killer style of unrelenting pressure. Im not necessarily saying he is the greatest, but i am saying he is probably the best all-around heavyweight of all time. He wasn't just good at everything, he was phenomenal at damned near everything. If i had to pick a heavyweight who is/was the closest ting to a perfect fighter, he'd be my pick. He doesn't get nearly the praise and adoration that he so rightly deserves, but regardless - based on his record, who he beat, and how'd he look in those fights as wel as in the 2 that he lost, he's easily one of the top 5 greatest in history as well as being the perfect archetypal heavyweight.

Excuse me but I do know what I'm talking about at least a bit (but I think overall we share similar views?).
Lennox ran through everybody in his career. Evander Holyfield beat George Foreman by the way, albeit an old George (less speed and control, but also wiser and better chin). And Lennox ran over Evander Holyfield.
If there was ever a better fit for the word "undisputed," it was Lennox Lewis. He was an undisputed champion because he fought everybody he came across and he beat them all. He had two losses that he confidently beat in rematches. He defeated recognized world champions such as: Evander Holyfield, Vitali Klitschko, Hasim Rahman, Oliver McCall, Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno, Ray Mercer, Tommy Morrison, Shannon Briggs, and Henry Akinwande.
Muhammad Ali's record is similar. He's defeated names such as George Foreman, Earnie Shavers, Ron Lyle and many others. Though he did struggle with a couple of opponents namely Joe Frazier and Ken Norton. Frazier had many handicaps that prevented him from being as good as he could've hypothetically been. And Norton arguably won more if you look at the third Norton-Ali match.

LL was always the roar in the ring, but he has led his life with such humility and an eagerness to learn more at each stage in his career. He kept his head held high and never let his mind waver from the task at hand. I wrote him many years ago when I was trying to get into boxing and received a response with nothing but positivity and enthusiasm to help guide another. I will cherish that moment and what this man stands for in my eyes. He is one of the greatest and kindest, and I truly look up to him to this day.

Lennox Lewis in my opinion dose not get the acclaimed credit he is rightfully owed. His name sometimes goes under the radar when we talk of greats! Look at what this man done in his era! What a Champion. He sent through The division with no fear.
The late great Emmanuel Steward brought out the absolute best in Lennox Lewis. The trainimg he recieved in the Kronk gym goes without saying! The last Undisputed🌍 World Heavyweight Champion🏆. We talk about Larry Holmes jab but the Lion had probably one of the best jabs in the division till this day. True boxing fans show your respect and homage to 👑 Lennox Lewis 🏆🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊. however, those 3rd tier fighters (Mccall and Rahman) surely did prove Lennox's 'greatness' by icing him with *One Shot* to the jaw.
he was a very solid and good fighter, i do admit - but today everyone wants to label all who fought as 'greats' regardless of the tomato cans that proved otherwise by putting them out for the count while these so called 'greats' were in the middle of their prime!
did Ali get starched when he was in his prime?
did Mike get his head taken off by One Shot when he was knocking all challengers out?
Lennox was good - if you ask him, he will say:
_'Well of course Lennox Lewis was the best because Lennox Lewis beat all and Lennox Lewis loves to kiss ass of Lennox Lewis.'_

I was 4 rows back from ringside with my dad watching Bruno VS. Lewis, at Cardiff. When Lewis wobbled Bruno with the huge left hook and sent him against the ropes, I remember so clearly seeing Bruno's head fly upwards from the right uppercut from hell. I knew Bruno was done right then. Everyone around was cheering for Bruno up to this point. It was definitely a pro-Bruno crowd there. And everyone around me went silent for a few seconds when the fight was ended. It was so shocking because Bruno had done really amazing up until that point! He definitely surprised Lennox. But greats have what it takes to pull something out of the bag and finish the show. Lennox is an all-time great.

Rocky will always be my favorite fighter but I'm a realist that understands his limitations. The several ATG fighters that Rocky did face were either too old or washed-up has-beens. They were light heavyweights that simply moved up for the money because the division was completely void of any quality authentic 200+ lb Heavyweights.

I was born in 78, and growing up in the 80s in england it was all about tyson, and i allways felt the reason lewis or even hollyfield didn't seem to get as much support was that everyone was still feeling down about the way tyson had let himself go and didn't fulfill his full potential, i remember whenever there was a tyson fight coming up the whole school would be hyped for it.
