I talk about deathcore bands that should have been bigger: Suffokate, As Blood Runs Black, Oceano, and Defiler
- Why As Blood Runs Black were one of the best to do the "deathcore 1.0" melodeath-with-breakdowns thing on their album "Allegiance"
- Why Oceano were ahead of the curve with "Depths"
- How Defiler rode the wave of "Cryomancer"
- Why Suffokate's "Return To Despair" and "Oakland" are MySpace deathcore classics, and what Ricky Hoover is doing now

Talk about that band Unruh from King of the Monsters records in the next version of this
Return to Despair was an album that I loved and knew nobody else that did lol

I would like to see a video on Admiral Angry!
Always a treat. That opener clip was a banger.
As Blood Runs Black is by far one of the most underrated, underhyped Deathcore bands of all time. Their album Allegiance is an absolute masterpiece with the perfect balance of melodic shreds and heavy chugging, it's what deathcore SHOULD sound like. A total banger that stands for itself, one of those albums you keep going back to and it never gets stale. Easily one my favorite bands despite a less than extensive discography.
Godbless bro abrb is easily the best band ive ever listened to
They stopped releasing music for a long time which didn't help them.
Thanks for plugging us in your video!
To all the fans of Oceano that stuck with us since "Depths" came out (which was an album that I loved listening to long before being involved) just wanted to say cheers to you all as well!
🤘
Fuck Yea bro, Great Job!
Thank You 🙏🏻
Fit For An Autopsy is currently the most underrated death core band. Brimming with talent and the song writing by Will Putney is amazing
^^^^^^
Them and The Last Ten Seconds Of Life
amazing band !!
Fucking love fit for an autopsy seen them like 4 times
Not anymore
Finn “stunning jawline, great physique” McKenty
As Blood Runs Black’s Allegiance was pure classic back in the days in mid schools here in Russia. Every guitarist started to play learning “In dying days” and “Hester Prynne”
Still listening to this album sometimes even though grew up from deathcore
Edit: true, preferred old school deathcore way more than what people do now
I still listen to the album start to finish occasionally. When I feel like murdering usually. Ooh yes, I like that
Total banger it was
My fears have become phobias
aw shit i just made the same comment. we all did in dying days in my group too, i always did the harmony and hard parts though
Douglas Bishop yeah we had a really rich history in 2007 considering emo, pseudo emo metalcore
Can’t say the same about these days
Everybody are into russian rap
Whenever I hear the words Myspace Deathcore my brain immediately shoots to Elysia. I remember hearing them in high school and being blown away by a deathcore band actually having real hardcore parts where they drop the death- part almost completely. Their second album is also what every metalcore band now wants to be. So ahead of their time, and they were only like 16
say LESS Elysia to me was the epitome of this shit
DIG
A
DITCH
@@MikeyStayBrutal Their vocalist Zak is in a new band now called VRTRA. They're like the doom take on Deafheaven.
I don't know about their first album, but their second album was basically the same sound as American Me to the point my friend was like "Hey, you like American Me, check this band out."
So, in that regard, I wouldn't say it was ahead of its time, seeing as bands were already doing it before them, and bands like Greeley Estates, and The Crimson Armada, also did it not long after.
So, I just had a quick listen to Elysia's first album, and I really understand what you're saying. It kind of reminded me of On Broken Wings first album, but with deathcore vocals.
Through The Eyes of the Dead should be on this list too. They never reached the heights they should have reached. Bloodlust is one of the foundation albums of deathcore.
U so right
Best band ever!
One of my favorite metal bands. Workout to two inches from a main artery regularly. Saw them live with Children of Bodom and God Forbid in Sacramento before they changed vocalists and went to shit. Such a dope concert
That album was amazing
Bloodlust is insane.
My inner brootal kid misses MySpace deathcore
Did anyone actually listen to killwhitneydead ??????
One of the n.c bands I was introduced to when I moved here.
Still do. Those guys rocked and their last album (a few years old now) was wicked.
I bought one of their albums on a whim back in like ‘05... yeah wasn’t for me
hell yeah.
yeah man i like nothing less, nothing more. such a cool record with lots of great samples
Oceano’s Ascendants is TOP TIER DEATHCORE
Would definitely agree they kicked it up a notch in terms of songs big time there
Ascendants and Revelation is a completely different band imo. Depths and Contagion go together. Lets not talk about Incisions. And A and R is a step up somehow.
The mastering is not very good though
Agree with Finn's take and agree with this 100%. Whoever wrote the last two Oceano albums is God-Tier of this style. I couldn't get anyone to check them out though, because everyone had already been kind of underwhelmed in the past. Similar situation with the new Emmure album.
soft punk The Taken and Dawn of Descent are not boring
What I'm learning from your videos about being successful as a band:
1. Don't be boring.
2. Don't be ugly.
3. Don't be bad at writing songs.
Yes
"Do not touch" - Willie
“The skies were filled with fire” was like one of the first songs that turned me on to the genre and it’s still one of my favorites
Same
Pussies.
@@grinkorable RHOOOOAAAAAGH
Same! Watched the movie gummo cause of it too, and I found the song YEARS ago on youtube watching some kids run a Ford expedition in a field in the mud
Memories man!!!
"Oceano doesnt really have a charismatic frontman."
Ohman have you really seen blaqmario, adam in my opinion is super charismatic and good looking!
www.twitch.tv/blaqmario - Yep Adam is absolutely Charismatic. This guy has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. Also he forgot to mention that Contagion and Incisions were weak follow up albums to the fan favorite "Depths". They recently redeemed themselves with Ascendants and Revelation though.
When you like to be BLACKED.
Vauron Wouldn’t say he’s a moron, he’s well researched, but I knew he wasn’t gonna go into detail about those two follow up albums, which were fucking terrible and almost put a bullet in their career’s head. Adam’s insanely charismatic too, he got that wrong for sure. Adam will work a room better in a 30 sec set than Planet Fitness does 1 year memberships.
Bayden Jones too bad Adam has basically quit. He does some garbage rap shit now and gets mad when people ask about Oceano
@@WeAreObject he hasn't quit, he's still in the band but has a hiphop/R&B side project like basically everyone in the extreme metal scene.
Don't be a dick
much love for ABRB, got to see them a couple of times in NYC
These always get posted right when I get to work. So I gotta hide in the bathroom to watch. Everyone probably thinks I have some sort of horrible digestive problem. 😂
I literally just did that lol
Not at all. People are going to assume you have a drug problem long before they assume you have a digestive problem.
"dude this chick must be taking nasty dumps with all the grunting"
So gald i work in a ice freezer just need to plug my phone in the back of the mother board and hide it.
I work a restaurant where I can play whatever
Oceano's last 2 albums are insane! They found their sound and nobody sounds simillar to them now, but deathcore aint popular nowadays...
Well I hope you see the ridiculousness of what you said because it couldn’t be more false.
The community is going strong these days , indeed it’s not at the radio but that’s how it is now who care if it’s popular or not.
Epic
just saw them live a week ago. Still a great band. They played two new bangers so expect another album probably later this year
I can not thank you enough for introducing me to defiler. Their music got me through rehab and a lot of bad days
man this is so great to see. thank you for listening and as always, thanks to Finn for turning so many people on to us ❤
You should go back to rehab
Next Episode: Bands that should’ve been bigger (Emo Edition).
When I say this, I’m talking about from the 90s scene to the 00s and Emo revival of the 2010s.
Totally agree, waiting for a long time already
Yes!!!
Definitely here for it but ehhh, something tells me this isn't something Finn would want to talk about due to the fans lol
I'M SICK OF BREAKDOWNS. GIMME THE FREAKING TWINKLES BOOIIII
Deathcore band that should’ve been bigger: In The Midst Of Lions
Dude I completely forgot about them. I still have a youth medium shirt of theirs burried in a closet somewhere lmao
Theirs* Holy fuck I can't believe I've done this
They are from where I grew up. The vocalist Matt worked at our local walmart for a few years.
Literally saw someone wearing one of their shirts the other day, lol
Yooooooo you opened up old memories I had forgotten about
This one time I convinced my mom to let me have a house show for my birthday and I got Suffokate to come it was dope lol
Wow lol
Haha, whut?!
Best story ever.
Suffokate was pretty much always playing in Sacto and The East Bay before Jared left. Good dude.
If Animosity is myspace deathcore, I love myspace deathcore.
and Elysia
for some high school kids those guys could play well. I like some of Entheos but not quite the same energy with that band. Shut it Down!!! was a good album, Animal wasn't bad either. I didnt care as much for Empires
Shut it Down is one of the best deathcore albums
Through the eyes of the dead and beneath the massacre should have been bigger
Bloodlust is the best deathcore album ever written
Add Conducting from The Grave to this list
@@goobingtons man I havent heard that name in like a decade
@@b00tybu77chks man they were so good but nobody knows about them, it sucks man
I always refer to beneath the massacre as beneath the biceps because elliot is an absolute unit.
I love As Blood Runs Black still listen to their first album today and they were killer live. I had the lineup change problem with bury your dead I saw then 3 times in 6 months and it went from Matt the original singer to two different singers the next 2 shows before they added the gentleman who's name I can't remember that sang for their 3rd album. On a different note I want to thank you for introducing me to BilMuri that is one of the greatest music projects I've heard in a long time a d I never would have known about it if it wasn't for you so thank you again.
Mat wasn't the original singer, there's the guy who worked in the first album, then Mat, then there was Myke and then Mat returned. According to Wikipedia there were also two other singers who didnt last enough to record an album
@@Eichro Matt sang for cover your tracks and beauty and the breakdown then the 3rd album they got the gentleman who's name I can never remember and that when the sound changed Matt is probably the most well known singer I guess
Actually, Myke Terry sang on the 4th and 5th albums (the self-titled and It's Nothing Personal), maybe you're not considering 'You Had Me At Hello" which was the first album and was also Mat-less. The other albums (the ones you mentioned plus Mosh'N Roll) are all Mat
@@Eichro I always considered you had me at hello more like an EP or demo
Adam Warren has been in Oceano since 2007 so the front man argument is inaccurate, but what you said about the lineup change is correct. A lot of the songs on Oceano's Depths album were very distinct. Maybe it's a difference of opinion but when I listened to their first album, almost every song sounded unique to me. If you had made the argument about boring songs for Contagion or Incisions albums that is fair to say and I would agree but Depths, Ascendants, and Revelation were full of memorably unique songs. Give Depths and their two most recent albums another shot, man. You might end up liking at least one of them. Your channel is awesome, man. Keep doing you.
IzA BrownBear Oceanos one of the best deathcore band and also he is very good looking
Ascendants and Revelation are the most relevant albums in metal if you know you know. And knowing Is half the battle
"The real secret ingredient for a band success is being able to build up an authentic relationship with your audience". Powerful and advice for bands and business. Great video man!!!
100% applies to businesses of all kinds, yes!
As Blood Runs Black deserves so much more love. Allegiance is such a sick album and I never get tired of it.
Oceano became one of my favorite bands after I listened to Ascendants and Revelation. Just brutal albums with some of my favorite songs like Dawn of Descent and Human Harvest. Incredible live band that is constantly touring and grinding on the road. Love them.
They are sick for sure, awesome technical musicians but he is right, most of their songs blur together, although I do think Adam Warren had some charisma
Adam still has quite a bit of charisma. Find him on social media, if you haven't already!
Parker Rognrud for sure, meant to say has* charisma. He is a beast. I spun their last two albums recently and enjoyed them, glad they’re still doing it
Next: How chumbawamba changed the game
YOU'RE NEVER GONNA KEEP ME DOWN!!!!!!!!!
ABRB was one of my favorites for the longest time. But too many years between albums. Feel like the fans and the band never grew together. Allegiance will always hold a special place in my heart
I remember around late 2009, early 2010, when I was in college and working at Hot Topic there were a lot of kids recommending In the Midst of Lions to me when I'd ask what they're listening to. I remember the band being pretty legit and was surprised that I stopped hearing about them so quickly. No idea why they vanished, I just remember how hyped people were about them and then nothing ever came of it.
They had a unique sound but imo were very mediocre
one of my fav bands. insano good. they just faded out. plain & simple. touring was probably hard. made no money. no one bought albums. i sure as shit did though.
Yes! In The Midst Of Lions were really awesome!!
Fucking great band
"I don't like melodic death metal bands"
What is this heresy?
Jorden Alex Abplanalp it gets really repetitive, particularly if you got into hardcore before metal
@@feelingevaporated2912 And chug after chug DOESN'T get repetitive?
That's the point of genres. Most music within that genre will sound similar.
Jorden Alex Abplanalp yes you are correct, music is subjective. I am telling you why I, and other hardcore fans, find it difficult to get into melodic death metal despite appreciating the technical intricacies of the music
I personally listen to music mostly for emotional expression, and suggesting all hardcore has chugs (or even breakdowns) is dumby
@@feelingevaporated2912 I did not suggest that "All" hardcore is chuggy. I believe you missed my point in making the comment that I made.
And that's fine. Subjectively, I don't see melodic death metal as "repetitive" at all. Every song is something completely different (other than the fact that it's going to clearly be melodic) and has never failed to give me that Nordic badass feeling at the gym.
I mean I don't really like any strain of death metal so
This video gave me an idea: would you do a video on bands that survived the “lineup change crisis”? Some that come to mind would be Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Avenged Sevenfold, Hatebreed, just to name a few. Maybe even throw in some advice on how to go about handling lineup changes in the public eye.
Marathon Man Productions what lineup crisis happened to Hatebreed?
Dance Gavin dance might be the best example ever of successfully surviving lineup changes
Иван Ярославцев a ton of revolving door member changes in between Satisfaction and Perseverance yet they signed to a major, did tons of big tours like Warped, had Kerry King do a guest sport, they really only went up from Perseverance onward.
John Kuchler I’m not too big on DGD, I like some of their stuff, but I would definitely include them in this category. With their last couple records they’ve only gotten bigger and bigger.
Marathon Man Productions its crazy how they held it together with so many vocalists coming and going but now that they have a stable lineup they’re bigger than ever. Unfortunately Finn said he would never do a video on DGD lol
AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK'S ALLEGIANCE ALBUM WAS THE FIRST DEATHCORE ALBUM I EVER BOUGHT & I LOVED IT. I LOVED THE DRUMS ON THAT ALBUM & THE SCREAMING WAS DAMN GOOD. THE SONG I LIKED MOST WAS HESTER PRYNNE & IT'S DEFINITELY A SONG YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT IF YOU NEVER HEARD IT.
OMG, 2 months ago I was searching all over the internet for Suffokate and Defiler because their music popped in my mind but I couldn't remember the name of the bands nor the songs, what a coincidence. Awesome video and thanks for helping me remember them HAHA
Love the Molotov Solution inclusion. They played in my hometown all the time. One of my favorites from that time period in Deathcore.
Molotov was the shit
Right? Saw them at chain reaction, fucking great show.
I remember when As Blood Runs Black held "auditions" to replace their vocalist by having fans dub over the Air Force One instrumental. The idea picked up steam and quite a few people were uploading their videos to UA-cam. It was obviously a publicity stunt since the band went with someone already in the business, but it worked pretty well.
I remember a couple of those that tried out were fucking super legit! Its a shame they split.
Leche from As Blood Runs Black is an absolute MONSTER drummer!!! Puerto Ricans in the house!!
David Velez 100% I always wondered what he was up to. They put out a sick video of him playing to song way back when
I haven’t listened to Depths or the later Oceano records in a long time but District of Misery still sounds great to me. Adam Warren is also a monster vocalist
"Ricky has a family and is still pretty damn swole" LOLOLOLOL
My favourite channel on UA-cam, every time you upload I am instantly happy. Please don’t stop!
Oceano is not only my favorite deathcore band of all time but in my top 10 of metal bands. Don't dislike a single album of theirs. Their influence on deathcore is so underrated that it grinds my gears
Conducting From the Grave should have been way bigger, When Legends Become Dust is an absolutely incredible deathcore record
With Drew winter as there vocalist so good
"Allegiance " is still my number one favorite deathcore album EVER! The amount of passion that You hear on that album is what makes me wanna come back to it.
I got the CD from Ebay (along with a large ABRB Dinosaur shirt) as my christmas present last year, has a special place on my shelf x3
Awesome video!!! Defiler also had the guitarist (Andrew) from Oceano who wrote Depths. Glad to see them back at it
I've seen As Bloom Runs Black live 4 times. (When they where the same guys in the music video) They where the band that got me into metal back in the day.. my wife and I bonded over them when we found out we both liked them when we where dating. They will always have a place in my heart.
I got my nose broken at a As Blood Runs Black show. Loved every second of it.
same but as a devildriver/gwar show.. yours might have been better XD
Defiler is honestly one of the best bands ever. I can't wait for their 2020 comeback.
fuck, they still haven't even released a single song(
@@breathelife662 EP drops May 24th :)
@@BURDENOH yeah, i know, and i can't wait for it)
I remember everyone in West Cleveland, Parma and Slavic Village used to dress like the frontman from Defiler. Fitted hats and DCs everywhere.
Such a great video. Your pieces are always worth a watch Finn!
A couple bands in my opinion that deserved more recognition:
Dance Club Massacre (honestly kind of a party-not-serious-deathcore band with Black metal elements, but to this day I still maintain they had one of the best vocalists in the game)
Hacksaw to the Throat
Knights of the Abyss (I feel like they never reached their potential. They had immense talent with some brilliant songs, but fell victim to deathcore cliches on other songs, so their best work got buried)
Knives Exchanging Hands (Way ahead of the curve, did a lot of the melodic/post-rock/proggy inspired stuff in 07-09 before you'd see it all of the place in 2010 and beyond)
See You Next Tuesday (Grindcore inspired deathcore band, fucking amazing. Short body of work but they went out on a high note.)
I only dipped into Death Core and similar genres but dance club massacre really stood out to me. They where fun but also super talented. If you haven't check out a black rose burial they are another band I think is on par with dance club.
I just recently discovered see you next Tuesday but they're so fun
Chainsaw to the pussy!
I’m hella late on this but yes! DCM murder comes with smiles was my jam! KOTA is also coming back with new stuff right now
Man, I haven’t thought about ABRB in ages. Those guys were ridiculously talented!
Dude, I'd almost forgot about all these bands, and you have totally great points as why these guys never really got big, even though I remember always wishing they were. Please keep doing other genres like post-hardcore, metalcore, numetal and much more. And I'd love to see if you'd consider doing a series on like band evolutions and why they maybe have changed sounds or at least the changes in their sounds between albums? Bands like BMTH or Atilla or Issues that from some albums can sound like totally different bands. But even if not, I always cannot wait to see what you put out next man!!
The fact that you mentioned Salt the Wound! One of my favorite bands! That Carnal Repercussions album...
Oh man I remember that Defiler video when it came out ahaha, I actually looked them up after some time again and found Devanation which was the vocalists other project I believe ? Glad to hear there's maybe gonna be even more music.
Yep thats jake too!
Yes sir! And the new music is confirmed Defiler music. Thanks for listening to the even more obscure stuff I’ve done. Made me happy to read this 🖤
Dude i remember submitting a tryout for ABRB back when they were making their second album. And Suffokate... Man i remember before Not The Fallen came out they had a song called The Skies Were Filled With Fire... Fucking br00tal man
Shoutout to Struc/tures
They were this band from Canada that i think really helped pioneer the modern "Djent/ Progcore" sound if you havent heard of them their All Of The Above EP is a classic of that era!
1000%, that ep was siiiiick...that opener track/breakdown = legendary. I jammed that today. Production was spotless. And they totally fucked it up with their next two albums ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Structures was amazing. Loved that band it still comes on my radio mixes from time to time.
A little late but structures was awesome, all of the above and divided by were amazing albums. I listen to their 3rd album sometimes but it wasn't the same with the second vocalist. He was a good screamer but i don't think for a band like structures
Dude, i love your channel. I dont watch every video as they come up but whenever i feel like it i get into this frenzy and just watch all the new stuff. You have interesting points, you are very entertaining and you are very handsome.
Keep it comming, this is great.
Thanks man!
Daamn first time i see ur videos. So much nostalgia. Didnt knew i missed all those bands
Defiler is coming back soon and I am super hype! No one seems to care.
ive been listening to oceano since their release of "Depths"
i think they deserve more recognition.
I love that Ricky Hoover is wearing an Oceano shirt in that one still
god that was my favorite time for music, as blood runs black is a huge influence on every guitarist in my town around my age. when i introduced them to allegiance it was such a huge thing to us and we were all like 15-17 and it was the coolest shit. i think this is the most nostalgic ive been as a result of one of your videos finn, keep it up man good shit
stinky lizard seriously dude. All you had to do to discover 3 new sick ass bands was go look at another band’s Top 8, seriously a beautiful time
As Blood Runs Black and All Shall Perish, I miss that time.
I been jamming to almost shall perish, cant get enough of herding the brainwashed and sever the memory

@@meaninglessvalue7778 Awesome!!! Finally someone mentions some old ASP!!!! I loved playing Sever The Memory, by far my favorite song from back in the day.

Line up Changes! This is the reason I’ve always thought “Eyes Set to Kill” didn’t get bigger too! They came up when female fronted bands were everywhere. But also had a lot changed, which I really think effected their packaging and therefore limited them.
I think you’re spot on about line up changes. It’s crazy how some bands survive them, like Counterparts has one founding member left and I think they’re sounding/doing better than ever. Probably a mix of charismatic frontman + gaining good talent + old members contributing to writing process
Ahhh, yeah such fond memories of ABRB, that album is still one of the 3 old deathcore LP's I'll return back to. It's straight up a metal album, just with like Black My Heart style breakdowns haha. I think you hit the nail on the head with a few of these bands like Oceano where I can't actually recall a single cohesive song - sooooo many bands from this era just blend together in a soup of sick 5 second clips that go nowhere, kind of like an AI built a brootal neural net and tried to write some songs. Lastly, Knights of the Abyss shoutout, I had COMPLETELY forgotten about them. I wish I still had my old iPod where I had probably a hundred weird demos and youtube album rips from every conceivable myspace breakdown band out there. Such good memories.
2:06 my heart just broke a little
Wtf are you talking about Adam warren is a cool charming character oceano still slaps
Here4daTACOS Villarreal the album contagion is and always will be the jammmmm
Love this, was thinking about this as topic for your channel last time I was off huntin
Another amazing video man! Glad to see your patreon is growing too. Looking forward to the day when reading off the names is a 2 to 3 minute segment Haha
I have to read it faster now lol
Suffokate was so hard. I remember the first time I heard “the skies were filled with fire”.
Bands that should have been bigger: Dark Age from Germany (Pre A Matter of Trust as that record was just radio pop)
DUDE great job with the red boarder. I usually watch ur videos but I honestly was like what's this and how come I never finished this video!!!! ...I instantly clicked on it
Ha! Amazing
This is pretty cool, I remember being so heavily embedded in “the music scene” in middle school and high school, and now it’s almost like we’re looking back on them. Pretty rad
In Germany Oceano still have a solid fanbase :)
Still one of my favorite Deathcore band !
From a second story window, see you next Tuesday, at the throne of judgement......

@@michaelknight4099 WOW. That was a great band.

Great video as always, it'll be interesting to see some content about Whike She Sleeps, they seem to be doing great
I still remember finding As Blood Runs Black in 06 back on myspace. I was so stoked because before I really only cared for metalcore and post-hardcore but they opened the gates for me to get into heavier music. One thing I'll say about Oceano, is they put on a damn good show back in the day. The vocalist is a beast. I still spin their first LP every now and then, and oddly enough their instrumental song "Depths" is still amazing.
Hey don’t do my boi Aaron Kitcher like that with the drums😂
no shit... dude is a fucking animal.
The drums at 2:26 don't sound like a human being played them BECAUSE THEY WERE PLAYED BY A GOD
They are programmed drums and the footage is sped up. There is no live footage of him playing at speed.
Until they tour I guess we'll never know for sure! I love the music regardless (I listen to electronic music so programmed drums are not a big deal to me) and if he really CAN'T play it then it goes right along with their whole troll thing so it's all whatever IMO
That's a fair take. It just annoys me that he gets brought up in every metal drumming video as some kind of god and he himself tries to pass it off as real. There are a lot of fantastic drummers out there.
Gotta admit I was a lil burned when Black Dahlia Murder changed out members after the Majesty DVD
Dude, you just turned me onto Suffokate. Thanks, and cheers!
I went to school with the guys in Defiler. I ran into Jacob at a local burger shop and he was talking to me and my friend about trying to get Defiler back together and do a reunion tour. That was like a year ago. Hope they are all doing well.
salt the wound, we are the end, elysia, in dying arms, so this is suffering, the red shore, molotov solution..... part 2 please ....
I miss The Red Chord so much.
All those bands are awesome! You have good taste. Landmine Marathon too!

Hello all. This is Andrew, previously of Defiler AND Oceano, with a thought to ponder.
If you have enjoyed anything I've done in the past, which it seems like most of you here have (including Finn Mckenty); then please feel free to check out Serpents - U.S. here or at www.WeAreSerpents.com and support DIY art. Serpents is a band, yes, but it is an artistic and spiritual movement; hence, why I'm no longer in the bands spoken about in this video...I am, anew.
So with that being said, we'd love to have each and every one of you join this "movement"; and begin to wander down the path of the Initiate, with us to guide you...that is if you are brave enough to look.
"Temet Nosce"
Ps. Much love to the PRMBA!
Good call. RETURN TO DESPAIR is no joke. Just recently subscribed and I love your stuff.
Great video I'm glad you made this one
No I declare war? :(
For real, with one of the best vocalist in the game and they get no love
Disfiguring the Goddess too
Thought their old stuff was meh but their last album was surprisingly really sick IMO
PLEASE make a Spotify playlist for this video before I start tren raging
Tren rage is so fucking real lol. 0 to 100 in half a second
Tren is the strongest anabolic steroid. Its is the only one that causes roid rage. It makes you strong, big, veiny, shredded. Its street name is "the nectar of the gods" or "devils juice"
@Tony Glock you can get veterinarian grade or otherwise its street made (unlike most drugs getting fake tren is nearly impossible because it has a specific colour, taste, it's cheap to produce, and you can tell body wise easily I.e. tight skin that looks photoshopped, extra veins, back to back to back to back sex, and increased strength with 0 weight gain). It was legal and pharma grade in France for a couple years as tren hex but that is so hard to find and so expensive it's not worth it
Suffokate made me addicted to that certain type of deathcore
I loved them I honestly miss Ricky's huge ears in their videos, nobody else could ever rock ears like that
Thank you for addressing line up changes!
Mediaskare was also in the way - this was a point I thought you’d make.
I dont comment on label issues without knowing the full picture. I will never, ever take a band’s word at face value on that.
Rest in peace to Volumes' first ep man
oceano's lead signer is hands down one of the most talented vocalist's i've ever heard. 1:30 into the song taken says it all
I feel so good about myself after watching this!! Thanks man!!
Return to Despair was such an underrated album. I listened to that thing so much and got so hyped for the future of Suffokate, and then as you point out that was kind of it.
"Id rather forget, it's easier, than when I give a shit" breakdown
Damn, I wasn't expecting you to shit talk Oceano like that 😭😭 I love them lol. They are the only band on this list still touring and making albums currently tho
Just saw them in Cleveland this summer. I've seen them probably 8 of their shows and I can honestly say they get better each time
@@BRANDONGONE92 they definitely have gotten alot better over the years
*sips Monster Energy Zero Ultra™*
Ahhhh, Oceana. Now that's what I call Deathcore. Zoomers just don't understand.
It was funny thinking cuz As Blood Runs Black got their start roughly as I was starting high school, and I had heard My Fears Have Become Phobias from a Rock Band drum custom chart of all places cuz I was really into rock band and guitar hero and was immediately hooked. I went to ask a couple of my other friends at school about them cuz I used hang with the metalhead/hardcore kids and no one knew who they were. I was just shocked honestly. How could these guys who seemed way more inclined in the genre than me have never heard how good this band was?! Safe to say me and alot of my friends really got accustomed to that band regardless of the line up changes. Which even I'll agree was a lil disappointing to see at the time. Just wanted to recall this story cuz I found it funny thinking about it while watching. I love these vids Finn. Keep up the good work! ❤
