Hiya - just strolling by at the moment to leave a comment to see if you by chance heard about the Bluefin tuna on Orcas Island just found. World ocean currents are no joke -- absolutely we technically should have way more sharks here by now with climate change all affecting of various oceans-seas. I follow SeaDoc Society and they just posted on YT that a BLUEFIN tuna was found dead with video. Be back soon to watch--leaving a comment and like to push that infamous YT algo !!
It was epic. The biggest perk of UA-cam is being able to go back and revisit those moments. I forgot a lot of those clips until I saw them again. It's crazy how life comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Thank god for video cameras.
Enjoy Prince Rupert! Just got back from Haida Gwaii and ferried in and out of Rupert. Both amazing places if you can get a chance to see Haida Gwaii and the rest of the Island, such a beautiful area. highly recommend.
Hell yeah dude that must have been great. I hope to make it there one day. It's expensive to get there though so I'll have to knock it off the list down the road haha.
@@PNWSamson no, they aren’t around enough. That’s for sure. I am not up in the pnw anymore but I still follow orca network and they don’t seem to be around as much. It’s very sad.
Just new to your channel. Love your content and the way that you view the world. I am also from Nanaimo. Hope to run into you sometime and am now looking into free diving. Keep the videos coming.

Fantastic vid! Really captured the discovery passage area! We are so lucky to live in this biodiverse area! Thanks for doing such a great job showing it off! I enjoyed watching it while eating two Dungies I caught in Cowichan bay!
Haha wicked! Happy it can bring people some enjoyment. Lucky you! I can't eat Dungeness anymore but it's still loads of fun to look for em. Plus, the wife and kids love em. We don't have it pretty good in the PNW, cheers!
I grew up on the Puget Sound outside Seattle in The 70's and 80's. I love your videos of remote British Columbia. They remind me of what it was like in the 70's on The Hood Canal and Bremerton. The Pacific North West is some of God's most Majestic work. Being in it enjoying its abundance and glory is so humbling. Praise Jesus Christ and God Bless you and your family ✝️🙏😇
Thanks for the comment! The entire PNW is amazingly beautiful. We are definitely blessed. Hood Canal is a really nice area, I was there a couple years back visiting a friend. Blake from the UA-cam channel Washington Fish Quest. He's a great dude.
The bird at 21:00 doing the funky chicken was a Killdeer doing a broken wing display, where they pretend to be injured a make a big scene to get potential predators to follow them away from their nest. Their eggs are super camoflouged and laid directly on the ground but next time you see that, if you take the time to look around you may find the nest
Wow crazy! I appreciate the insight. I would never have guessed. I feel bad though, I can only assume it thought I was a threat. I'm happy I didn't crush any eggs.
Great video. How deep were those Prawns? It didnt look very deep and we always had to go super deep like 100+ plus to get ours. Never seen prawn barbecue on a stick that was great...
I wish I tried one! Looked delicious. We set those traps in roughly 250' so it was pretty deep. I never did much prawning even when I owned a boat. I didn't want to lose the expensive gear haha
Love the videos dude! Definitely want to check out savory island now! I don’t know if you’re better at making UA-cam videos or teaching working at heights 😂 Cheers dude! Looking forward to watching more vids this season 🤙🏻
I recently just moved to Vancouver island and want to start getting into free diving and spearfishing. Any pointers or dive spots would be greatly appreciated.
Hey! That's awesome, enjoy the island. I have an educational playlist on my channel which covers a lot of various topics about diving, spearfising and equipment. As for spots, your best bet is to research the habitat of the fish you're looking to target. Use google maps and navionics to find areas of interest. Cross reference each new spot with dive closures and rockfish conservation areas. Honestly, exploring new areas and finding a good fishing spot on your own is the most rewarding part.
Important note. This trip was during the May long weekend before the fire ban.

Haha thanks. The algorithm hates me. Jk. Quality over quantity is the way I look at it. My viewers are awesome and are worth 100,000 subs each lol.
What an epic trip. I would love to stay 3 night . 🎉

Prawns at four hundred feet and a human prawn puller. Kudos!! Hope he got his share😊
Haha we all had a solid feast. We ate like kings and queens that weekend!
Man we never did look under the pier!!!!
Just another reason to go back!
What an amazing time you had on your adventure . Thanks for sharing the video of your long weekend trip

@@PNWSamson it was definitely a site to see. But agreed it's expensive. Ferry alone is a crazy price... Such an amazing culture in Dajing Giids.
@@LarryG-Films awesome dude, yeah I'll have to make it there one day!
Talk about convenient harvesting!
Haha so true. I'd be eating bivalves all day if I lived on Savary. I'd be like that guy on Forest Gump but with bivalves lol.
Orcas!! Love when you show them!
I love when I see them! Not nearly enough though. Such a treat!

Haha thanks man! Yeah Savory is amazing. Can't wait to go back. Are you one of the students I taught at Albian Sands a few weeks ago?
I love Savary, have spent a couple of vacations there. Picking the smaller oysters is far better, they taste 100% better.
Yeah man Savary is amazing. I felt pretty lucky to finally check the island off my list. And agreed, smaller are the way to go!
Love your videos
Thanks man!
the thing from the geoduck you asked what it was is the clams PP lol
Haha nice. I eat a lot of clams whole so I'm not too worried. Cheers!
Whaaaat ill be in Rupert for work!!
Haha nice. I was just there for a day. Had to teach a CSEM course at an LNG plant. Was pretty nice though, it didn't rain!
You have subscribers in Prince Rupert. Cheers!
Haha awesome! I wish I was able to dive when I went. Short visit though. I'll make it back one day I'm sure!
