Starting at about 13:00 into the video, it appears that you did not snug up the toggle bolt on the left end, you just left it loose as you leveled the bar and then attached the bracket on that end. Did I miss something, or did you just leave that end loose?
Good observation. I actually did leave it SLIGHTLY loose to help line everything up. On that type of towel bar when you tighten the set screw it wedges in behind the bracket, pulling the bracket out and tightening up the bond between the bracket and wall. Not all types will do that, so depending on the type of mounting system, you may need to tighten everything down prior to attaching the towel bar end posts. Thanks for watching
If the holes are small enough to be covered by the end posts and still allow a toggle bolt to grab, then you're still good, but if they holes are to large the only option you have, unfortunately, is to patch the holes and move the towel bar a couple inches left/right or up/down since the patch won't be strong enough to support the towel bar. Wish I had a better solution for you. Thanks for watching.
I’ve learned a lot from this video. Thank you very much, Brian.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Straight to the point, each step clearly explained. Toggle bolts and how to use them is exactly what I was looking for. Kudos Mr W.
Glad I was able to help. Good luck with your projects.
