Great video tutorial. I love the way you explain yourself in very easy to understand ways. I have seen many other videos but they all seemed far too complicated. This is an easy to get started and produce something very quickly. I sat in my studio for an hour today and got very little done. This will inspire me to do more tomorrow now. I hope you produce some more push 3 tutorials. Great sounds as well. 😊
Thank you for explaining this walkthrough so clearly. I love using Ableton Live, and I currently have a Maschine mk3 but I don't like how cumbersome it is to transfer over all my sketches to Ableton from Maschine software. This video may have finally convinced me to sell my Maschine to fund a Push 3...
Thank you! I think you should make sure that you have selected the individual pad, not the device, and then browse for a new sample or use the hot-swap button
Hey Anna I have a question about MPE. When you were playing some notes I saw you slide away you were technically on top of other notes, but your original press was still on with the green light. How does that work? What if you actually wanted to glide to another key? 3:57
Hey, good question! I guess if you slide in the MPE mode you move the envelopes, not the notes. If I needed to get to another key I would press that pad in the end
Hey there, question from a non-Ableton user: let's say you have a 4 bar loop and now you'd like to make a song out of it. How do you go about recording automation over a longer period of time like 16 bars on a scene using those 4 bar loops, is it possible somehow on the Push? Or would you have to make 4 individual copies of the scene and chain them together somehow? 🙈
another option to go even longer would be to record to the arrangement view (Ableton's more traditional 'timeline' like most DAWs) which currently is not directly accessible from Push standalone, but you can still record anything to it using shift+record and then access/edit it on a computer. you can record everything you do, including clip launching and automation, directly to a song length (or longer) timeline that way.
This was the best in depth I’ve watched so far. Thanks!
Just acquired Push 3. This is a great tutorial to get started 👍🏻
Been looking for a to-the-point but in-depth video like this for ages. Nicely done

This is the best step-by-step overview of any of the Push version I have seen. Been searching all over for this. Thanks! P.S. your music sounds sick!
Aww thanks so much!! ☺️
Hello. He s right ^^May Will you do more ? @@afruitsounds
Thank you very much for this very clear and helpful video !
As someone looking to go from the OG Push to a Push 3, this was super helpful!
And the bassline really made the beat come together :D
I thought it would be easy going from Akai Force to Push 3 but it's been difficult. Thanks for the video!
I liked that bassline, that was cool AF.
Love your sound! Subbed for hopefully more tutorials for the push 3🙏.

In controller mode (not standalone) is it possible to control plugins like Kontakt via the Push?
@@ckrug32 yes, you can map knobs from VSTs to Push
Thank you for making this video, lots of techniques to show!
This was nicely done!
This is a very VERY Dope tutorial, thank you so much for sharing!!! Just subscribed to your channel!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Thanks so much
Very cool, simple and nice to look at…the Push too. ;)
Can Push 3 do Harsh Noise music ?
Sounds like a song I’d hear in Cyberpunk2077! Thanks for the tips!
Spectacular!
Most excellent🥰!
great tutorial and the video i will refer to if I get a push..thank you...........
That's cool! Thanks for sharing 👌☺️
Nice jam! Has kind of an Android Lust vibe
Nice!
Thank you😊
I would be interested on your thoughts on using mutes. More in the vein of muting and unmuting parts of a drum track. New sub!
Thanks! I will keep that in mind for future videos :)
Thanks for that video. Good information :)
Can you tell me how to change individual drums in a rack. I just can change the full drum track
Thank you! I think you should make sure that you have selected the individual pad, not the device, and then browse for a new sample or use the hot-swap button
@@afruitsounds thanks. oh I reread what I wrote. I meant the individual volumes for drums. I could not see them.
nice maranta
i didn't know you could hold down the quantize button or change the velocity with standalone
👍🏽👍🏽🙋🏽♂️
What camera do you use?? This is awesome!!💥
iPhone 13 mini ☺️ Thank you!

Wish I could see push screen
The push 3 keeps tempting me daily but first have to resist
Thanks for sharing your workflow. I found your video very inspiring. Do I need to have a special microphone? I have a Shure Sm 58?
Thanks! I have the same mic, but it's better when connected through a sound card with a preamp

If I understood right, I think you can just make your loop inside a clip longer

What type of non-volatile memory to use for the system and host the firmware? Flash, eMMC, ROM?
I believe it's SSD
Push 3 seem to be so powerfull... I wonder if we can play plugins tiers in standalone mode ?
In standalone mode you can use only Ableton plugins
@@afruitsounds thx for your answer

Push three is a huge waste of time and money. You'd be better off just investing in an external hard drive.
Really, why would you buy Push 3 if you need a hard drive? I can't understand
I was thinking about Push 1 or 2 since they are cheaper now and I have AL 11 Suite now it would make sense for me to buy the earlier models!!!
@@Bashanvibe I feel you! It's definitely worth it to try the cheaper options especially when you don't know yet if you need that kind of equipment
Push 2 is there best so far.
@@lisdexia1how do you compare Push 3 to a hard drive what does that even mean?
