    Ableton live 12 seems to have strong upgrades in the sequencing department. Also has an euclidean mode. Can you operate these new features from the push 3 you think?

    • @wrkshp
      @wrkshp  7 місяців тому +1

      Great question - so far Push doesn't have any access to these new modes or ways of working. Very curious to see if they eventually come - no news so far on this as yet.

    is it possible to quickly mute/unmute a note you have placed in, similar to the BSP/KSP workflow?

    • @wrkshp
      @wrkshp  7 місяців тому +3

      Absolutely - but often overlooked - if you hold down the Mute button and tap a step, it will be deactivated!

    1:35 Note the way in which he casually says "I'll just make this clip twice as long"... he reaches up, hits a button, and twiddles a knob WITHOUT EXPLAINING which button and why, what knob and why, and how this works. This type of presumption will KILL THE EFFECTIVENESS of a tutorial or lesson. If you're a beginner, he just completely blew your mind and stranded you, thinking "wait?!? What??? Make the clip twice is long? That sounds useful, which knob was it? How did he do that? WAIT, WHAT???" and so on. See... this is NOT what I want to see if I'm thinking of spending $299.00 on a tutorial. No, this does not bode well at all.

      This likely builds on other tutorials and something as simple as duplicate will likely be covered. I wouldn't judge the whole thing on this more advanced level tutorial.

    Tanta tecnología para esto xD. Ponte a estudiar teoría musical y a aprender un instrumento como el piano porque lo que se ve aquí parece una randomización hecha por un crío de 5 años. Sin acritud :D

    This course is to expensive. You would make way more money if this course was 99.99

      Hello and thanks for your feedback.
      Price is arguably objective (as we can find products and prices to compare) and value is subjective. It's a super interesting topic so below are some thoughts and reflections.
      It's important to recognise that "the price" is also influenced by economic factors and I wish that there was an easier way to adjust for the varied buying power across the globe, and I'm hoping to offer this some day.
      Some objective facts:
      The course is the biggest there is (by a long, long way)
      The course has more features than any other (built-in support, a community, creative challenges)
      The course is (by a long, long way) the most affordable course per hour of content.
      The course has the highest production values of any course on Push (or any physical hardware, potentially!)
      Now, because of the above, the total price is indeed higher than many others, and also puts it into a category of being more expensive as a dollar value.
      The subjective decision:
      The subjective choice is whether the course is of value to you. If the time it will save you is of value (or not). If the creative focus it offers is of value.
      There are two questions here I suppose:
      1) for you: is an alternative, cheaper course better value to you personally?
      2) for me: would I be able to make more income if it would be priced lower?
      I can't answer question 1. I made the course I would have liked to have had when I started with Push, but that's all I can say on the matter.
      Question 2: let's say a lower price leads to 4-5 times as many students. That means 4-5 times as much support, management, lifetime hosting costs, etc. As of today I work alone and I'm not able to easily test out this theory at scale. I am always reflecting on how I could better manage all this, and that's an ongoing challenge.
      As I said, it's a super interesting, complex (and also at times emotional) topic. I try to find the right balance but I'm grateful for feedback on it too. I don't want to sound defensive either, but instead take your statement as a constructive challenge. Being asked good questions in life is a privilege.

      For the price of the Push 3 Standalone, I can understand the price of the course. But I bought a Push 3 Control Version for $800, in that case I can not justify the price. For $100-$150 I would buy the course for sure. Hope you will consider a price-drop.

    • @Allogettingmoney
      @Allogettingmoney 7 місяців тому +3

      @@PololiNuskil Thats exactly my point, after some pays over 2000 bucks for the push 3 another 300 dollars just to learn it is pretty steep. ppl will scrap the internet clean trying to learn for free before shelling out another 300 bucks. 100 to 150 is a fair price and would surely get more ppl in the shopping cart.

    • @wrkshp
      @wrkshp  7 місяців тому +1

      @@PololiNuskil thanks for the feedback.
      While I did mention the price of Push as being relevant, actually it really isn't.
      The value of the course is in the transformation that it offers, and whether that's valuable to you or anyone else (or not).
      The value comes in the form of many things, but a big part is 10 years of knowledge, of trying things, of finding workaround, workflows, frustrations and joys.
      The Push Bible saves an insane amount of time saved. Of course time isn't worth the same world-wide or to each individual.
      There is a sale once or twice a year however. Do join the mailing list if you'd like to be made aware of that.
      Cheers 🙏

      I agree. I’ve no doubt it’s an excellent course and he’s put a lot of work into it but I can’t justify the sale price, let alone the full price.
      I’m sure he’ll sell lots of these courses, but not as many as if the price were dropped.
