  • After weaning the cows go back out to the field, and the calves will be watched closely and fed all the fancy feed in the corrals.

      @@nathanieljohanneck5788 they are called Speckle Park. But we also have Belgian Blue in there too that throw some of those funky colours

    Calve on green grass and wean in the snow is the way I like to do it.

    What do you think about crossing simangus to a speckled park

      @@Land-f7q depends what your trying to achieve. I love my speckles for their calm demeanour and excellent maternal instinct, good bags, etc. but their growth at the finishing end could be lacking… with a sim/angus thrown there you could compensate for some of those shortcomings.
      Speckle park is still very young as a breed, there’s some not so great genetics still in the mix that need to be weeded out so be on the lookout for a reliable breeder
