@@ltt-c7y we calve about 225. Haven't had much problem with coyotes but we do calve at the yard. If we would calve in the field/bush, we would have problems.
We ranch in SW Sask and like your videos! Wondering do you record the cow numbers when you process them? We do when we preg check the herd; interesting to see what other operations do. Thanks.
@@KimArnal-i7l oh sorry, no none of that is done. Just mark down the group that was done. We don't have a scanner. Individuals are recorded by their ear tag when given antibiotics.

@@KimArnal-i7l thanks for watching, we are on the VBP + program so vaccinations are recorded like what we just done and other ailments they have.
@ Yes, I meant do you scan the RFID tags as they go through the chute or just manually write the numbers down?

@@3dranchmanitoba we’ve been planning to get the VBP+ training. Just have to get started!
Takes as long to get pens set up, catch them up, and get them into the alley as to do the actual needling it seems.
@@chadtosh6831 yep, figured I needed more time to allow doing the cows but with everything and everyone in place, doesn't take so long.
Good afternoon 👍🍻
@@chadtosh6831 good afternoon Chad!
Nice looking herd of females. Do you source females off the farm or is it replenished from within??
