Add a separate audio input source, choose your mic. Then add the reverb filter and turn the "DRY" knob all the way down/off. This method makes muting or setting volume for the reverb easier(without having to open up filters all the time)
The instructions you gave here downloads some older version 1.2.1 from 2016. And in your video you somehow end up with a much newer 2.3.0 from 2020 without saying exactly how you got it. Some sort of switcheroo going on. Figured it out... you need to click new "OLD DOWNLOADS" buttons below picture and select the TAL-Reverb-4 v2.2.6 version. The VST3 versions don't work or appear for me at all - not sure if VST3 work in OBS - only have a VST2x plugin loader..

Thanks! I didn't realize obs has hotkeys and a section for these plugin effects. I was using my apollo interface plugins, but can't set hotkeys for them so I'm having to use a second screen to click on/off. This will be much better. Edit: OMG hell yea, all of my UAD plugins are working through OBS!! But unfortunately Waves isn't compatible. I'll try Antares next.

No worries Jeff! I’m always happy to help! If you want to hear it you need to press the settings button on the audio input and press ‘advanced audio’ you can then turn on ‘audio monitoring’ in the drop down menu! Be aware that there could be a slight delay!

Okay, so this might be user error since I use streamlabs, but I'm still having problem finding the plugin even after installing and restarting my computer. I installed it at first into the D drive, but since I couldn't find it there, I uninstalled and reinstalled it into the C drive and once again, to no avail, couldn't find it under my VST2 drop down. Did I miss something? Was I supposed to move the plugin somewhere? What did I do wrong?
So everyone who was struggling with this like I was before I got it working: So what I did was from the zip file, I made sure that a Steinberg folder was created, also creating another folder called "Vstplugin" then I installed it, adding the TAL-Reverb-4-64(or 32).dll into the folder. Restart streamlabs. That's how I got it to work.
I already had reaper installed and I tried to add Tal-reverb but it didn't work. I tried to copy them also manually but I could not find the data files. I know it's an old video but maybe someone can help?
does anyone have an issue where using the download version recommended does not have the (.msi) in the file is a different UI than in the video? i was trying this one b/c i wanted to flip on presets and go.
You can download the newest version and replace the old DLL file if you want this exact version, for some reason my pc stored the presets in memory. The version you have still works fine :)
Andi, I have installs some VST plug in, but it does no effect when I tried 'em. Please tell me how to fix it. I am using a mixer or Maono AM200, neiher work with the effects from Plug in. The SETTING is normal, and I just use Mic/Aux for main Source in OBS. Should I add another source for the effect to work? Thank you very much.
@@Andilippi Nope, it's the version of the program. It doesn't seem to work with OBS Studio because the format is not supported anymore.. had to do some digging for that because it really isn't mentioned anywhere :/ I got a way older version that works, but is also way simpler

The "TAL-Reverb-4-64.dll" has to be the latest one. I just downloaded the latest one and moved all folders manually there and now I have this interface.
Once this is installed download the latest version on the website and replace the .dll files in the install directory that you already have with the new ones
Anyone found a way to get TAL-Reverb VST2 working for Mac, Monterey? Issues with 64bit & VST3 (not supported by OBS) Or a decent alternative? The 'current' older version of TAL Reverb v1.3.1 (i think) is 32 bit. Both install but neither has any effect on the audio in OBS.

Did they do an update? I have the extension installed and I see it in OBS, but I don't have the option to select "Tal reverb" in there. Do have a bunch of other options in there, listed under the plug-in interfaces.. :(

You might have the folder installed to the wrong location if you aren’t seeing it in OBS! Make sure it’s in your c:/program files or c:/program files(x86) then restart OBS!
I had an issue with this vid and my computer pulling my old install! If you download the latest version from that website then replace the files on your C drive it will update it!

Acon Digital Reverb SOLO has great sound. I also use TDR Nova from Tokyo Dawn Records. It's a free parallel dynamic EQ.

You need to turn Audio Monitoring by pressing the settings button on your OBS mixer!

You need to make sure you have audio monitoring on for that source in your Advanced Audio Properties (the settings cog on your mixer)

I found an alternative in Protoverb which has VST2 & 64bit version! Works for me, Mac Monterey.
