I feel this, when I was so insecure of a birthmark that my friend called a “angel’s kiss” and no matter how much I told everyone the real story they always said, “You should’ve made up a cool story about like getting in a fight and that happening.” MY DAD even went SO FAR to say, “You should tell people that you got in a fight with a shark and it bit RIGHT THERE.” Yet now he has a sign on the fridge that reads, “Do not lie to me, everything else can be worked out.”
I am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my UA-cam channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤
I have to write a personal response based on a slam poem for english and i watched 15 other videos before I found this one and I am choosing this one because not a lot of people are so open about aggressive masculinity, let alone talk about it.
I liked this poem! We should be peacefully counteracting any violence/aggression from any group. It doesn't matter who they are, what they are entitled to. It doesn't matter where you come from, nothing gives you an excuse to act violently or lousily toward others.

Anne Kpop Multi fandom queen He didn’t go through abuse 😂 people just wanted him to sound cool by making a sick bar fight story. That’s toxic masculinity but it’s in no way abuse 😂 he then got offended by it and made a whole poem about something that wasn’t a big deal in the first place
Toughness makes a boy a man. Toughness comes from getting back up. Getting back up is when someone knocks you down... but you always come back swinging. That’s why I hate your poem Levi
