- This is how I came out to my school. It is not my best work. It is raw, angry, and partially censored for the sake of my school. (It still caused a pretty big controversy, which pleased me quite a bit.)
I'd just like to say that if I could rewrite this poem, it would not be an angry one. It would be about love, and how it's our strongest weapon against the ignorant and hateful. I've learned. But at the time, this was exactly what I needed. I had just come to terms with my sexuality, and this meant coming to terms with all the hate I received (and would receive in the future) because of who I loved. It was a twisted concept, and I was hurt, angry, and confused, and this poem is a reflection of that.
If you're LGBT, or just an individual struggling with hatred of any kind, don't hate back. Don't do what I did and spread more hate. Spread love.

I’m not easily offended but she just blamed all Christians for what happened to her previously. I’m part of the lgbtq+ community and I am a Christian. She also talked about equality and accepting everyone when she doesn’t accept all religions. Other than that I loved it.

I don’t think it was necessary to offend Christianity by saying stuff about Jesus especially when she obviously doesn’t know anything about Him considering the fact that He was a savior who loves every human being on Earth including her no matter what. I’m just saying you can’t offend people’s religion like that. If someone has told her the things she said then they are wrong too and should pick up a Bible and read about how God loves everyone because no matter what you would like to believe, it’s the honest truth and it’s not fair to just assume something about a religion or group of people without knowing anything about it. You can offend me all you want and you can call me ugly or an outcast I’ve heard it plenty of times. You can do that because I’m strong enough to get through it. I know I’m not perfect and I will never be, but don’t offend my religion or my savior. No matter what you want to believe, Jesus loves you and the “Christians” that tell you otherwise are wrong. He’s not a hypocrite. You only want to think that to give yourself a reason to be mad. Next time, just don’t call Jesus out. Call out whoever told you He didn’t love you, because they are the people that are wrong. He may not agree with you especially if your criticizing Him, but Jesus will always love you. Stop feeling bad for yourself and read a Bible. I was never truly happy until I found Him. I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life or that you have to be a Christian. I’m simply saying it’s worth a shot.

Bashing God was not needed. God loves everyone equally, Jesus was not a hypocrite and you really need to re-educate yourself on the Bible cause what you said was really unaccurate. God accepts and loves everyone for who are. He loves me, you, everyone. God is real.
