I have found the bolos to be a really fascinating way to show off the stones and silver work. Thanks for the info, and glad you have a passed down bolo. Good memories.

Bolos with nice big turquoise are becoming scarce as turquoise prices rise and cabs are cut smaller. As far as value goes just as higher grade provides the best value so do large cabs.

You are welcome. There are more Arland Ben photos in the Turquoise Gallery section of Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990.

hi Mike,When I was in high school, I saw one of your books in my hometown Hubei. It was at that time that I saw the pictures in your book. Turquoise worked with gold, silver and other precious stones. I fell in love with turquoise jewelry and the book you wrote.

Sir I JUST found your channel and I will be watching your videos thoroughly! My wife and I are rockhounds in Minnesota. We have lots of agate and recently picked up our first lapidary equipment. Planning a trip to Nevada to mine some turquoise. I would love to learn how to find some and shape it.

The best place to source turquoise is from a reputable dealer. Do not go on to staked claims and steal turquoise.
