    I grew 2 Cherokee Lime plants this year. One was green and one grew red tomatoes, but mine were closer to saladette size to small slicer size. I liked both, so I wasn’t disappointed

      I’m only ever disappointed if the plant doesn’t grow any tomatoes at all and that hasn’t happened yet. I am always prepared for variations and even crosses. That’s part of the fun of growing so many different varieties every year. 😁. I’m glad yours were tasty for you.

    Another great review Jen and Ben! Jen, your reactions to Ananas Bleue made me laugh until I literally teared up, LOL! Wow, I won’t be trying that one. LMAO😂

      I’m so happy I was able to make you laugh til you teared up. I love when I laugh that hard. I was definitely genuine with how I felt about that one. I’ve never spit out a tomato before but I just could not keep tgst in my mout. Yuck 🤢. It’s a never again for me.

      Thank you Jerry. I’m so glad it was the last one I tasted too. I think it would have ruined all the others for me. Such a strong nasty flavor that one. Ewwww

      Sorry not sorry🤣. That is always my goal. To spread excitement about all the different ones you can grow. Tomatoes are in my opinion one of the easiest plants to grow and I never get bored with all the varieties. Happy gardening to you.

    what about the Hanover tomato? Your close to them. It might be a fun fact for ben to discuss the volcanic activity or ash that makes the tomatoes in that area taste so good

    • @jencordial

      Oh wow. I had never even heard of this tomato. Just took a quick look on the internet about it. Very interesting and now I know they have a tomato festival every year in July. So I think I might make some plans to attend. Thank you so so much for your comment. I’m putting the Hanover tomato on my wishlist and will keep a lookout on others trade lists for it. It’s going on my definite grow list for next year. I must see what all the hype is about.
      So next year it’ll for sure be in a taste test video. Thanks so much for this great idea. This is why I love having my channel so much. People like you that make me aware of such awesome things I’d never know about otherwise. 😁❤️

    I think the Ananas Bleue does not look right, the descriptions I read show more yellow. However your reaction was hilarious, and I am definitely not trying that tomato and I am wondering what you did the other 40 you harvested. Surely your chickens are sick of tomatoes by now, mine are. Now I am looking for that Rusted Soul. Love the videos

      I’ll need to go back and look where exactly my seeds came from. But I’ve seen pictures when looking it up where it can be more slicer sized but most of them look to be saladette. But I added them to my frozen bags of tomatoes. They’ll be made into sauces and soups. I doubt I’ll be able to taste the lighter fluid when they are all cooked down. 🤣

      I am most definitely doing quite a few videos like that. Mine and Bens favorites and never agains. I may do top 5 cherries and a top 5 saladettes, most productive tomatoes. I should have a lot of fun tomato videos still to come this fall. Thanks so much for watching 😁❤️

    You have enough tomatoes to make homemade tomato juice for canning

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  10 місяців тому

      I think most of this years is going into canning up chili and cabbage beef soup. My family and I eat a ton of both of those so I canning enough maybe we won’t run out.

    Do you tie up all your tomatoes, single stem, trellis? How do you grow them?

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  9 місяців тому +1

      Well I used to try to do single stem but this past year it was a bit more chaotic with all of the tomato plants I was growing. But I wasn’t mad about it. I still got tomatoes, and most of the plants did excellent without me fussing over them too much. I like to use cattle panels to tie them up on.
