Remember when Ubbe found Floki when he tried to escape from Ragnar ? And now he is trying to find him again. Good times.
Ivar is taking Ragnar's advice...he is pretending to be weak.
and he's doing it perfectly
Nikki & Steven React why Didn’t Ivar just push Oleg over the balcony.
@@kodesh1674 Pretty obvious that he just wouldn't and couldn't do that. Wouldn't: Because It's stupid to just sacrifice his life for just the sake of killing him when he has plans for the future. Couldn't: Because well... he doesn't have the physical strength to overwhelm him, even by surprise, since he's not over a cliff, it's a balcony
Hvitserk hasn't looked this alive since he was raiding with Bjorn.
The ending reminded me of Saruman and Grima Wormtongue in The Two Towers when Grima sees the giant army and Saruman says "There will be no dawn for men". Oleg is saying the same: there will be no dawn for pagans if he gets his way.
Also in my opinion Gunnhild crying apparent golden tears refers to her story about Freija and hints that she was and is the real golden treasure, the spouse Björn needs (but certainly doesn't deserve) at his side but he is casting her away for fool's gold aka Ingrid. Because Björn is definitely being a fool with Ingrid.
I don't think Hvitserk hated Lagertha. I think his grief and shock from being outcasted is turning into hate. I think there's a good chance Hvitserk will abandon the culture which abandoned him and turns into christianity if he spends a lot of time with the Rus.
If you follow history I bet Hvitserk will follow the path of Guthrum aka King Aethelstan
Well basically Rus belong to ancient kingdom of Kiev Russia which vere tthe part of christian ortodox religion and they never had intention of revenge especialy not for destroying of people.
I was acctually surprised how they described in soo many details all parts ,how it really was ,cause we belong to same religion i am Serbian.Nevertheless, i belive its Igor personal revenge upon pagans who usurped lands ,not some religion wars.
Best regards Jenni i think would be awesome to share words with you abut this historical facts.
some good theories , Yes Gunnhild is the epitome of Freija. But you can tell by Hvitserk's uncharacteristic sarcasm that he is still angry at Ivar not his other brother, he is already playing games with him. First by rubbing in that he killed Lagertha (which he truly regretted) then by telling him that the Queen does not look like his old wife. The Russian King chose that because he knew what he Ivar did to his wife ( he knows quite a bit about Ivar).
I have spoilers about that if anyone wants them
Jordan Patrick Smith will forever be one of
my favourite actors (yes I know Travis fimmel too). The way he reacted to Torvi in pain was so emotional!
he is the one true good son who deserves to rule. He also cannot be fooled by the Icelanders
Nikkis reaction to ingrid and bjorn snogging was all of us 😂😂😂
snogging just means kissing not screwing
May J 09:52
King herald actually gave us a brief history of the real Eric the red...he was always chased out of communities he settled in because he either got into fights or killed sumone...
Ubbe will be a better father than Bjorn
Lol well that's not hard to achive. Bjorn is a terrible father, husband. An honestly not a great leader either
He's already been shown as more of a father to Hali and Asa (I think that's the girl's name.)
Ah, is it too much to wish and hope that we have a few scenes of Ubbe just being an awesome dad a world away from all the conflict?
@@LJBremer233
I agree. Just the little scenes with ubbe living life is amazing to me
Ubbe is like the best parts of ragnar.
yea so? Ubbe is still a pussy
I think the cross Floki saw in the cave was Othere's
I think floki actually did give him the wedding ring and its because he turned to christianity and asked that his story not be told because nobody would understand and it would upset the vikings
Hvitserk symbolically killed Ivar when he killed Lagertha since he thought that the 'snake' was Ivar. I think Hvitserk has realized that that was his true purpose was to kill Lagertha. That's just the way I see it
Imagine your purpose being finishing off a dying middle aged woman.
@@alexman378 Because that dying woman killed his mother. It was his fate. Though I dont think that was the end of his storyline. There's gotta be something bigger
Don Jayce He couldn’t give less of a shit since that happened though. He even sided with Lagertha and Björn when it suited him.
@@alexman378 True, but it's not like he coulda done anything about it all this time. Lagertha was a demi goddess
Don Jayce exactly, the same Ubbe say it, she kill his mother but he will still cry for Lagertha as a shield maiden
Torvy straight tossed Ubbe off the boat mid sea...
Bjorn and his newest "true Love" are cringey
at least she is beautiful, gunhilda not.Cringey is bjorn's santa barbara of relationships which never end
Nikki: "Aww babies!". Steven: *shakes head* "Nope nope nope nope" :D
Awesome Editing Steve, you’re one of, if not the best in the Business. This next episode feels like it could be epic.
Hvitserk conveniently forgets to mention that he thought Lagertha was Ivar when he killed her
Gamila Hassan literally he is acting all proud like he challenged her to combat and won. He didn’t even mean to kill her and then ran away like a bitch
true dat. ! he is pretending to be on his side, he actually regretted killing her
Brandon Shahan
Because it’s what lead him to his true fate. The visions of Ivar made him fulfill his purpose in life. Now he’s embracing the hell out of it.
It's heartbreaking to see Gunnhild like this. Bjorn doesn't deserve her. Maybe that marriage proposal from Harald is still available if she wants to divorce Bjorn.
I doubt that he'll want Bjørns child..
I think the mid-season-finale will say: "See you all in November!"
i think a 6 months break
In hindsight I think Ubber wanted OUT of all the craziness. His wife needed space to mourn her son and he needed her to be emotionally healthy enough to give birth to his child. The last time Bjorn exiled someone, Lagatha and his step-son died as result.
I didn't notice Gunnhilds tears becoming gold! I REALLY think the new wife is gonna be trouble, and I hope that Gunnhild gets to take her out!
Ragnar did say to Ivar that he is the most important to the future of his people, Ivar is going to do something big in this battle coming up can't wait
Just cause Ragnar said it doesn't mean it's true. And per the show, Ivar dies before he accomplishes anything significant
@@michaelsuder486 the Vikings were living comfortable they forgot who they were Ivar gave them direction at the end he gave the Vikings a purpose he proved his point
every single time Nikki goes "aawww, babies!" Steven is like *shaking head* "nnnnop!"
just finished the episode when I saw this being uploaded haha perfect timing
That golden land is now called modern day Canada
Because he sailed more west from Iceland, so he basically found the tip of North America 🤔🙂
Could also be Greenland.
North America, or Greenland, could be both.
Well there is a place in Canada that is called Little Norway. So that is probably true.
Ubbe is in a photo with a bald eagle... So most definitely Canada/North America
I think it's Greenland, which technically is N America. Just because for the show I would bet they are saving Newfoundland/Canada for the end. We already have Erik on the show, and he ended up in Greenland. His son discovered Newfoundland from there, but the way they mix things up on this show, it could be Eric going there with Ubbe or Bjorn.
You guys should watch The Last Kingdom it’s amazing and defilently can see you loving it
Gunnhild in real life is called Ragnarsdottir, I never knew!
Ragnars Ragnarsdottir is such a dope name... She's obviously resonating with true heritage
She comes up on the credits as Ragga Raggars
@@anthonybell6219 Correct, just check IMDB as it states her full birthname as "Ragnheiður Ragnarsdóttir"
Ubbe reminds me of Ragnar so much. All about knowledge and exploration.
Wouldn't it be awesome if he goes to the " golden land" ( America , i assume) and finds Floki there. All cool and in charge in the real land of the gods. Lol
björn literally meets a woman and he's already planning their wedding 😂
Guys, Athelstan was a pretty common name in that time period - especially amongst monks, who were often given news names when they stepped into the order.
So the fact that the wanderer’s real name was Athelstan, isn’t that peculiar - although it might be seen as some divine sign by Ubbe :)
Who knows what the show is preparing for us in the next episodes. But do not forget that vikings have been defeated before by well organized armies, despite their fighting skills.
Anyway, we can expect anything. This is absolute "fantasy territory". Rus never invaded Norway, it was to far and not worth the effort. By the way rus were not christians in this time. They became christians like 100 years later.
Organized armies have always been there weakness in this show which is why they were fucked up by paris in season 3 and 4
it'll be interesting to see everyone fighting under Finehair and if everyone stays loyal.
Nikki & Steven React
Well they have to. Their country and Gods are in danger. A betrayal by one of the Vassal Kings is possible, maybe King Håkon but the others I don’t think so.
The last time a ridiculously large army was gearing up for an invasion, it was The Great Heathen Army taking northUmbria and Wessex, York.... The vikings were the large force.. But this season its the heathens getting ready for an invasion.....
*Everyone will always underestimate you. You must make them pay for it*
right, my motto as well. If anyone ever worked with autistic or special needs people they would soon find this out.
I think Hvitserk is playing a long game with Ivar. Hes taking a negative (killing Lagertha) into a positive by pretending he liked it. When the time comes Hvitserk will kill Ivar.
true dat, he is playing mind games now
I was looking forward to Steve's Reaction when Ubbe announced what He & Torvi Were calling their New Baby ...But they did'nt show that Part .
I like how all the sons of Ragnar take on his predominant traits separately. Warrior/King, Farmer/Family, Addictive, Cunning/Rage
Nikki -- Ooooh a babyyy. Steven -- looks worried shaking his head, I --- laughing my ass off 😂
That guy said he met Floki. He could have easily heard the name Athelstan from him. Something happened there with Floki and these guys that they didn't show us. Maybe even after the eruption. Floki found Christian stuff in that cave. Maybe this guy saved him and then something happened after.
I just really want to know how and why that cross was already in the cave when Floki found it.
they showed Floki walking away from the family slaughter disaster, he needed to go away for sanity's sake he felt responsible for bringing them all there. His heaven turned into hell for all of them
@@LJBremer233 Irish monks settled and lived in Iceland long before the vikings arrived
@@jakeconstable thank you! I never came across that before 👍😁
Remember when the seer said that ubbe would be a king i think hell be the king of Iceland
Rus army looks like Nilfgaard
Or the Unsullied
Русы-это современные украинцы. Мы не были татаро-монголами, как в этой комедии. Россиян тогда не было. Их придумал Петр Первый, когда Московию переименовал в Россию....
@@АндрійЛавриненко It s just a show, of course history is distorted. But Peter the Great lived before Oleg, so there was rus people around that time.
Not many people are excited about the season finale.... I'm subbed here because of your loyal fandom, next Wednesday is a special event and everyone should show up with enthusiasm and act accordingly
why aren't people excited? feels like this season has been building to this moment.
@@NikkiStevenReact Lol yeah this season was purely a 9 episod long build for this moment
8:56 In Sweden there are 21 guys named Ubbe, I don´t know if they´re babies, or if it´s adults who have taken that name themselves though, our statistics site doesn´t say. It does say that the average age of people named Ubbe is 13 though, so my guess is a bunch of kids and some older guys.
TEAM IVAR OR BJORN??
im team Ivar tbh
Bjorn is a horrible king so team Ivar.
He did not kill 👍 he was unwell ❤️
I think the tear was the methaphor of Freya's story.
Maybe he ask help to England and king Alfred, considering that they helped him when he needed.
Or maybe he really asks Rollo and the French for help..
Still want Floki to become the new Seer after all the things that he's been through. They say the actor has gone on to work on other shows, but it would only take a short time to establish a new Seer character.
right, but he has stumbled upon a Christianity cave.
I thought Nikki said "is she a crayon" lmao had me on the floor 11:25
Ressurection; Ragnar, reborn. A great build up for next week; MY superbowl; Russia Vs Kattegat.
Do you think they could get help from England? Maybe we will see Alfred again with a big army?! I love your Vikings reactions. I hope you have a great weekend. 😁
I don''t think they will have the time to go to England lol I think England will happen next season. Cause the fall of the Vikings happened there.
I think Torvi might feel grateful to Athelstan 2.0, because it was when he started praying, that her child suddenly turned and she could avoid a Caesarean section, that would probably have killed her and possibly her baby too.
By ”throwing Ubbe under the bus” she informs everyone that he was baptized as a Christian, which could make him seem like a hypocrite, if he kills the wanderer for being a christian.
Wouldnt it be funny if Ubbe found Floki in the golden land? also I bet Floki's a Christian now
im wondering if this athelstan is the monk that aslaug made walk with red hot metal in his hands
True Dat ! The Christian irony would be great since he is meant to be the next Seer
Btw, he said that was "part of" the army... a small part...
Notice how Oleg said you will see "SOME" of the army pass by lol so he has more I guess gz
I still like Finehair, and if yopu look history books his name is still mentioned, not so much of Ragnar and his sons in that scale.
Im sorry Nikki but ivar did say "why do u Haunt me so". Not hunt.
but you will see in time that the word 'Hunt' is more appropriate
Hvitserk will be king of the kievan rus. He shares the same fate as Rollo.
ohh , best not look in history books unless you want to 'spoiler' yourself. Im trying not to look because I already knew from Egbert on what was going to happen because I knew English history . I did not know as much about Viking history, this is what is so great about this show, it is based on History
@@mayj257 At this time, vikings is 80-90 % alternate history
I don't really understand how the name Athelstan means so much to Ubbe... he would have been much too young to really remember or have any bond with Athelstan. If anything Bjorn would be the one to care about that name and person. Little puzzled over that but overall good episode
King Jake he was very close to Alfred we didn’t see all their conversations I’m sure they talked about it and all the Vikings share stories he definitely knows what Athelstan meant to his father
maybe just knowing about the relationship with Ragnar is enough for him?
Also puzzled by Björn's hatred for Christians since he knew his father loved Athelstan (and he did too).
Next episode is going to be absolutely insane. If you have the time Steven, could you do a two parter? I genuinely believe it will need it because so much shit is about to go down.
I think I’m first and I’m super happy about it :)
I feel like this Othar/Athelstan character is a conman, someone who is taking other people´s identities and stories, perhaps he never went to the land to the west, perhaps that story belongs to someone else (Floki?). I think it would´ve been interesting if he had been a young monk at Lindisfarne at the same time as the real Athelstan, and somehow was able to hide when Ragnar, Rollo and the rest raided.
If you watched the first few seasons you would know exactly who Athenian is. He is a prue beloved friend of Ragnar and King Egbert
Flokey is coming back ❤️
I dont think we are getting the big battle next episode. It feels part 1 of this season is all set up and the war will be all of the 2nd half.
No 6b is about Alfred vs Ivar
It been already confirmed
Preview for next episode shows a big battle
Next episode we getting a stare down.
as i looked on the army i counted about 5 to 6 thousend troops and he said they would only see some of the preperations sooo fuck XD
Even as someone not super invested in torvy that scene with Hali fucking kiiilled me.
The wanderer dude is bringing up the connection between Athelstan and Floki. I expect him to be wandering around saying cryptic things for a few more episodes and then we never see him again.
9:47 " *cause he's a son of Ragnar* ! " answers everything in the last seasons honestly lol
@11:40 No chance here Steve. 😂
I don’t know how the hell Bjorn and the rest are gonna be able to fight against an army that large.
Honestly, it’s not likely bjorn will get either rollo and ubbe to assist him.
they better hope there are a lot of vikings out there and they all want to fight for Finehair
Nikki & Steven React
The Scandinavia side have many on their side. There’s Harald’s army. There’s Bjorn’s army. There’s Olaf’s army. There’s Håkon’s army. There’s Thorkell’s army. Maybe not as big as the Rus’ but everyone needs to unite if they want to stand a chance.
That was only some of the army
11:37 she’s also IRL. She was the first Queen of all of Norway.
Kind of a spoiler to talk about Rallo. Would have been a good surprise out of left field. Floki was last shown in cave discovering Christianity there but he is also meant to take over as the Viking seer.
YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!!!! 🤙🏼
18:50 Ubbe: "Ix-nay on the istian-chray, Torvi!!!"
5:39 I love nikki so much🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think Hvitserk now realizes his fate was to kill Lagatha & that everything with Ivar led him to accomplish that. Ivar & Hvitserk are going to become a bad ass team that ends up going to Britian together for the final battles against Alfred.
There's no way Gunnhild is gonna let it go with that marriage. She definitely has something in mind !! Besides those golden tears WTF?
Ragnar and Athelstan are going on another journey together. haha Ubbe is easily my favorite son. He's so similar to Ragnar. 6x10 is going to be insane! Insanity, action packed, and filled with emotion. Can't wait!
Rollo was on my mind as well.
24:28-24:32 like it was nothing 😂😂😂😂
Björn Ironside is still one of my favorites
7:20 yes, he will have a long reign, he’s a real king in history
Lets gooo
He found Greenland I believe.
Also what about asking King Alfred... not sure he can afford sending troops away yet... but... I'd ask at least. And for sure ask the Danes.
Ivar The Hero
lets see right now he is playing the good guy but, we will see if old Ivar comes out
Hey Steven how many edits do you do per episode? like 300? Good stuff!
I JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU TWO GUY & GAL!! My favorite couple of all time!!! 🥰😍😘
YOoooo... is Frank Castle not in the HOMG (Hall Of My Guys)????
he's the next one in... just didnt get enough with him. it was too short of a relationship. we need more seasons of The Punisher
@@NikkiStevenReact Guarantee buddy you guys bite into The Last Kingdom, Uhtred of Bebbanburg will be in your hall of fame. Incredible acting, complex characters and lots of dark ages battle scenes.
Ron Weber
I’d put Alfred in the list, not Uhtred.
in the war the people who defend is land always have advantage you can defend you city with 500 mens againts 5000 with out problems with the help of your walls and intelligence
That's a hell no from me...! Sir?! 😂
You guys would fucking love Into The Badlands.
*Bjorn sitting on the mountains praying to Ragnar: father help me...Ragnar: Athelstan.
I love these Vikings reactions but I am watching my notifications for that next witcher episode.
The army of Rhollo is most bigger than the Rus he's the fucking emperor of France but i don't think Bjorn gonna ask help with him
That was only a tiny portion of the army. I think it could easily be 20 times the size shown
I feel so bad for Gunhild, her situation is terrible.
She is the Goddess Ferija in disguise
hvitserk doesn't want revenge on bjorn he just has nowhere to go bro
Does any one else feel a bit like Ivar's vendetta to Lagertha had waned? Not saying he had had a change of heart...he just seemed a lot less reactive after years of angrily swearing to kill her 🤷
(Could just also be that he's 100% learnt how to keep his cards close)
Ivar is a new man
Do not forget that this story about The All-Oleg in this series is a fiction!!!
So? You want a cookie or something?
Wouldn't it be madness is baby Ragnar wa an old man in the Spinoff series set to begin filming soon....
Ironic how new baby ragnar is going to travel to the new land with someone supposedly named athelstan
Athelstan was a common name
