This episode was incredibly emotional, one of the best in the series in my opinion. Bjorn got an amazing send off, remember last season when he was talking with Ivar "I have made many mistakes, but I will not fail this time I will defeat you", he kept his word. The rest of this season is good and the series finale really warmed my heart I can't wait for ya'lls reaction to the rest of it!
After reviewing, I concur that Hirst decided to change a few historically details around. Lagertha and Ragnar did have another child, a daughter who died early on in the show when she was young due to a plague that contaminated their village. Harold Fine Hair lived on and historically it is believed so did Bjorn as the king or lordship of Sweden...meeting a better ending than the show provided. However, he was still noted as an explorer, Navigator, a great Viking warrior, and leader of his people. The show is/was awesome and Bjorn and Lagertha my favorites.
The burial site of Björn Ironside is located in Sweden. They mention Norway but it would have been Northmen from all over Scandinavia that answered the call not just Norway. And Björn was a Swedish viking. The Burial Mound of Bjorn Ironside, which is called Björnshögen or Björn Järnsida's hög in Swedish, is a royal burial mound located on Munsön island in Lake Mälaren and in Ekerö Municipality, Sweden.

Guys that was so emotional. I cried my eyes out. That was so hard to watch. I just finished this episode. What an incredible soundtrack. They always capture the mood and feel of these crucial moments so well. That's not to say I don't have criticisms, but man was this one tough to get through, and I mean that in the best possible sense. I have been watching your reactions since 2016 btw, its been a hell of journey watching you guys, as well as Blind Wave, the Normies etc... react over the years. So many good shows. And yeah Steve, this is one of the best shows of all time. Some of my favorite TV moments period come from Vikings. What an emotional journey so far and there are still 9 to go!!! Its like you both said, we watched Bjorn grow up over the years on this show just as we watched Ragnar, Lagatha, Athelstan, Rollo, King Ecbert an all the other characters Journeys. We watched each of them come and go and leave their mark on the show . We saw their struggles, failings, hopes and dreams and legacy. I have been watching Vikings since its first year. It was my second year in Uni and I had on old high school friend who was also watching it. We both loved history and especially medieval / pre medieval history so it was right up our alley from day 1. Cant wait to see your reactions for the rest of the season. Love your channel. Keep it up you two!!! :) PS: I know you guys have a ton of shows you are watching, but you really owe it to yourselves as lovers of great TV to check out Black Sails at some point. It was never as pop as the other shows and the views wont be high as a result, but man is it an emotional journey. Just think you guys would really love it and I want to see more people react and appreciate it like it deserves to be appreciated. There are no shows on TV like it and perhaps there never will be.

I’m so happy to be on the final Vikings journey with my two favorite people! 😘
Yes! That show is freaking awesome. It took me a few attempts at watching to get into it, but just like Vikings once I got into the show it was over with I couldn't watch anything else until I finished it.
The show was giving legends human faces and reactions and I think the thought alone of how things could have been back then is what pulls the strings. Together with the music of Einar and Heilung calling the memories of those times within our old souls makes it even more capturing.
Watching you guys half way thru......I kept saying, "Wait, it gets worse" meaning emotionally....I was bawling by the end, especially when Hvitserk started saying what he did....

I just watched this episode and I was thrilled like never before. They were not just tears of sadness, they were of happiness seeing how well done the scene was directed, happiness seeing the end of Bjorn, the magnificent performances. It was not crying, I was watching someone leave for whom I never felt admiration, realizing that I really did feel admiration and love for the character and his story. It is very difficult to express how it was. It was like firing a friend forever knowing that he would be fine, but you will never see him again. Thanks Michael Hirst. Gracias Michael Hirst.
This is the most incredible performance ever recorded. Beorn son of Ragnar Lothbruk Notice that the prior Vikings were put boats and burned. They made Beorn the first to be buried in a mound like archeologists have found on northern Scottish islands.
I've noticed there's a depth to the scoring of this show, and something that really reflects the Norse spirituality. I think that, compared with the passion of the actors, is what makes it so able to pull out the emotion. It speaks to something deep and powerful, and it's so perfectly used in this show. Vikings is a step up, undoubtedly, from any other show I've ever seen.
Steve, The Character of Harald Fine hair is broadly based on the historical figure "Harald Fair hair" whose greatest achievement was unifying all of Norway under his rule, thus crowning him the first king of Norway. Interestingly, a descendant of him called Harald Hardrada is also a famous Viking king whose death symbolized the end of the Age of the Viking. furthermore, his defeat in England played a secondary role in deciding the result of the Battle of Hasting, a battle which decides the fate England as a nation for generations to come. The reason I'm mentioning the second Harald, is because I heard that he is one of the main characters of Hirst's new Viking series which is coming after this show. Since Hirst is taking on the story of Hardrada, I believe that he wants to conclude his writing journey in the Viking age.
Hi Nikki and Steven! This is the first time that I'm going to watch the rest of season because it's still not available on Netflix Philippines (Yes, I am from the Philippines and big fan of the channel :D) So I decided to watch it on your channel and just gladly finish the whole last season of Vikings here. All the sons are greater than Ragnar in one aspect
Ubbe is a better family man and overall good person
Ivar is more feared and ruthless
Bjorn is a better warrior
Hvitserk is a better drug addict
@@loveoffilm4327 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA
This episode was incredibly emotional, one of the best in the series in my opinion. Bjorn got an amazing send off, remember last season when he was talking with Ivar "I have made many mistakes, but I will not fail this time I will defeat you", he kept his word. The rest of this season is good and the series finale really warmed my heart I can't wait for ya'lls reaction to the rest of it!
Yeah. He's made many mistakes and this was his way of making up for them. One last attempt at doing something worthwhile for his people.
When we toast to a new year. Remember to raise a glass to Bjorn Ironside son of Ragnar. Forever the Goat.
Yup
In real life, Bjorn Ironside was the first king of Sweden.
You guys are the only one i actually enjoy watching because you take the show serious and actually show genuine interest so thankyou for the videos :)
Whenever that ragnar music comes on its best to get your tissues 😩 from ragnar dying when lagertha got wounded and now bjorn passing damn 😭
I sobbed so much I gave up on the tissues and went for the roll of paper towels.

This was the only time I ever cried since who knows how long! :D
He lived a warrior and died a hero
Bjorn is always be our king our boy
Bjorn Ironside....son of Ragnar and Lagertha. Literally the ultimate viking from the perfect gene pool.
The best character development in a show that has ever been done. From a child to a King. Epic.
Sucks they tried to make him Rollo’s son. As if they have Dna tests.. and as if he doesn’t look and act like the perfect mix of his parents. Bjorn was no traitor
It’s so good to have Vikings back one last time... This episode had me crying, and I don’t cry easily... ❤️⚔️
PS: I know you guys have a ton of shows you are watching, but you really owe it to yourselves as lovers of great TV to check out Black Sails at some point. It was never as pop as the other shows and the views wont be high as a result, but man is it an emotional journey. Just think you guys would really love it and I want to see more people react and appreciate it like it deserves to be appreciated. There are no shows on TV like it and perhaps there never will be.
Hello Benjamin , How are you doing today??
You are both a delight.
I have witnessed and spent time watching many reviewers on UA-cam, but you two are my absolute favorite.
Im just crying once again ! That's so insane 😭😂 best scene ever in Vikings

"And we will never, see his likes again." RIP Bijorn. This ep had me in tears. I just binged 6B and had to come over for the reactions. This show is just unbelievable and will be hard to replace
I’ve cried three times in life. Once when I was born. Once when Luke Skywalker returned in The Mandalorian. And once when Bjorn held his sword up for the final time. RIP Bjorn
Found your channel through Vikings and started watching your reactions to Vikings since Christmas and have finally caught up to season 6. Sad to see that this is the last season but looking forward to more of your videos!

I've already watched the whole season and damn it is MESSED UP. Even got me a bit teary eyed in the final episode. Just knowing that this was the last episode of the last season in the entire show forever made it hard for me to press play. The ending sucks but is so perfect at the same time. Its gonna be awesome seeing you guys' reactions to this season.
I 100% agree.
The ending was very fitting .. satisfying.
The look of fear in Ivar's eyes, and doubt in his voice as he is genuinely considering if Bjorn is immortal.
That's as OG a death as a man can have.
The moral shock to the russian army was the key to victory...and Bjorn did it so well.
Hello Martin , sorry for intruding your privacy hope you don’t mind
Bro the way they did that scene was absolutely amazing to me. Seeing him raise his sword 1 last time for kattegat and having the army behind him like that made me fucking yell out LETS GOOOOO!! LETS GOOOOO!!! *With tears running down my face* and clapping 👏 its was absolutely fucking legendary!!!!
This was one of the greatest episodes in the entire show, and the way they threw it in first episode of the final season, holy.
I'm a grown man and I was crying at the end. Such a great first episode
The song they're playing as he's being shot with arrows is also Snake Pit Poetry, Ragnar's death song.
I finished Vikings yesterday but I can’t wait for your reactions 😂🖤⚔️
Haha so u know
I think episode 11 was by far the best one
Steven: Dude, that is LITERALLY the most peaceful burning death EVER!
Thich Quang Duc: Hold my beer.
Thank you guys for putting this up so quickly. I had completely forgot that it was premiering. I had to quickly go watch it, and then come back to your reaction.
This totally felt like it could of been the final episode! I cried a few times. They almost got you too Steven! I can’t wait for the day when it finally happens, and we get a tear from you!
I’m so happy to be on the final Vikings journey with my two favorite people! 😘
You have to start The Last Kingdom after this, please.
Yes its amazing
Yes! That show is freaking awesome. It took me a few attempts at watching to get into it, but just like Vikings once I got into the show it was over with I couldn't watch anything else until I finished it.
Finished it ..
Enjoyed it sooo much💜
Uhtred!.....I'm with these voters :) I am Passionate not stupid
@@hadika9891 It is, it's just a little different. It took me a few tries to get into it, but Vikings did for me too lol.
The show was giving legends human faces and reactions and I think the thought alone of how things could have been back then is what pulls the strings. Together with the music of Einar and Heilung calling the memories of those times within our old souls makes it even more capturing.
One of the best final season i've ever seen. Keep watching guys!!!
RIP Ragnar,Lagertha and Björn♥ In no other series have these deaths made me cry like that :(
"i love this show so much" damn right Steve damn right...... This is a unbelievable show
Honestly the best reaction ever from Steve when Bjorn pulls his sword 😂
And that is how you start the final season! RIP Bjorn Ironside.
I've just finished the last episode. Damn that end got me. I'm so sad this wonderful voyage is over.
That is a warrior's death and Odin himself probably went to get his soul to bring to Vahalla.
Great reaction! I was surprised that Bjorn survived and surprised again when he died as a hero
Watching you guys half way thru......I kept saying, "Wait, it gets worse" meaning emotionally....I was bawling by the end, especially when Hvitserk started saying what he did....
I finished watching all 10 episodes and its so bittersweet..like it left a weird and sad feeling in my heart😭😭
Haha 😆 that was awesome lol 😆
Hello Robin , how are you doing today??
I have watched many good shows including breaking bad, Mr robot, narcos but none broke me as this show has truly special.
So lovely to see you both, Happy New Year! Im so pleased this is back, I probably wont be able to resist binging all of them after finishing the first one, but had to come and see your reaction before hand... I loved it, even though Bjorn...*sniff* dies. I loved it for its emotional heave, He Deserved that ending
They did Bjorns death way better than how i thought he died the previous episode.
Sad to see him go, yet most epic death of the series
I just watched this episode and I was thrilled like never before.
They were not just tears of sadness, they were of happiness seeing how well done the scene was directed, happiness seeing the end of Bjorn, the magnificent performances.
It was not crying, I was watching someone leave for whom I never felt admiration, realizing that I really did feel admiration and love for the character and his story. It is very difficult to express how it was. It was like firing a friend forever knowing that he would be fine, but you will never see him again.
Thanks Michael Hirst.
Gracias Michael Hirst.
Wardruna music is insane, very spiritual..besides,the sound Bjorn made rising the king sword was sick
This is the most incredible performance ever recorded.
Beorn son of Ragnar Lothbruk
Notice that the prior Vikings were put boats and burned.
I've searching for your reaction video for this episode from the mrng and finally got it.
