Hedgehogs would pass through my backyard until i got my dog! She chased them all away! XD But she was also the reason i noticed them in the first place but now i havent seen one in years. :(
They are illegal in Pennsylvania and for very good reasons. They decimated several bird species and other animals in New Zealand when they were imported by Europeans in the 1800's. If it lays eggs on the ground it's prey for hedgehogs. They are also good at eating beneficial bugs, one of the main reasons they are illegal to own in PA. It's best to leave nature where you found it. In the case of hedgehogs, that's not the USA. They did not evolve here so are not part of the natural ecosystem. Edited to add: Don't get me wrong. I think they are cute as hell. Just as long as they are cute somewhere other than my backyard.

Makes me miss my pet hedgehog 🦔. His name was Winston Churchquill.
Aww
So stinking cute. People keep them as pets, which I don't agree with. This is a better option. Thx!
I totally agree!
Chili Dogs?😊
